Hey folks,
Just looking some assistance -
- Good/Recommended web hosting service in Australia?
- Anyone here an amateur or professional web designer that would be interested to assist with some possible transformer web design work?
Thanks

Can't help with the design as I left that life behind in the early 2000s. But I recommend you go with one of the international web hosting providers like Wordpress or Squarespace. Unfortunately, the Australian guys charge an arm and a leg.

Are you after Windows or cPanel hosting? If you're after cPanel hosting, try VentraIP Australia.

Yeah, I left it all behind a long time ago too! Looking through the different sites many seem to offer the same features.

Not sure the difference re Windows / cPanel hosting. Most of my current stuff is all google so might just go with them.

cPanel (Linux based) is generally cheaper than Windows hosting. Many people host WordPress sites on cPanel hosting. If coding from scratch you can probably go with Google or cPanel hosting.

Cool thanks, was looking at godaddy, they have hosting where you can install wordpress, but then they have wordpress hosting. Not sure what the difference would be there.

GoDaddy is a US company so it is likely your site will be hosted offshore. It shouldn't be a problem if you're OK with your data being stored overseas. 'WordPress hosting' would be configured specifically for WordPress as per the requirements of the blog/CMS. According to the GoDaddy site, the hosting plan is optimised for WordPress to make the sites run 'faster and more secure'. Services include automated daily backups, WordPress updates, server caching and file access restriction. A regular web hosting plan may not include all of the aforementioned WordPress-specific services already set up. Not recommending any company in particular, just providing information of a general nature.
