When and where will Bumblebee be available for pre-order in Australia?

My primary preference would be Saviers' Toys, but they have no listing for him at the moment.

Does anyone know of any Australian preorders for Bumblebee Earthrise?

I'm hoping to walk into Kmart to get him.

That's how I got Cliffjumper, so maybe if I can't find a preorder, he'll actually be in store.

But in this specific case, I would prefer to leave nothing to chance and guarantee a delivery of this toy at some undetermined release date.

It's a bit too early to tell at the moment. Looks like you'll just have to wait it out but hopefully you can secure that CHUG Bumblebee you were after soon.

Traditionally it takes a little while after the reveals before pre-orders go up. And Savier's tends to be a little slower still with the pre-orders what with how they get their stock (basically they have some solid personal connections) and because their suppliers are in China. Which is, you know, a bit trickier to get things from these days than it used to be.

If you're really worried about it and set on Savier's, send them a message and they'll let you know what's going on and probably make sure to keep one for you when the order comes up if you ask nicely.

One thing to note is that Bumblebee is an officially licensed vehicle (Volkswagen Beetle) unlike every other WFC release so far. Goes to show they really couldn't do it without VW but also VW is happy to work with Takata/Hasbro.

It might be bit early. They've got to work out where they'll be able to source from.

He looks good, though, doesn't he? :)

Or VW is happy to work with Paramount and Netflix (and Hasbro benefits as a side effect?)

Possibly although we did get the MP Bumblebees without media to promote it. Then again, I suppose TT could've asked VW independently.

Which is why I am eagerly anticipating this version, Swift or Camaro has never really been the one I wanted, so am relieved at long last to be able to obtain the one I desired.
Can't wait to put him with Cliffjumper as a tag team.

But just out of curiosity, did Bumblebee ever have a gun before he became a Pretender?
The one in the picture is just Cliffjumper's rifle assemblage reused.

In the toon, he has a pistol. Given techspec firepower of 1, might as well use it to warm marshmallows. :D

Nah, the only original Minibot that came with a weapon was Outback.

Both Bumblebee & Hubcap will come with the same gun. The upside, though, is that it's modular. So you can give Hubcao & Bumblebee their own gun (configuration), should you decide to.

He had a generic little gun or two in the cartoon, and since then he seems to have had a smallish pistol which I think they're including as part of that Centurion pack (https://hasbropulse.com/blogs/unboxed/transformers-deluxe-centurion-drone-weaponizer-pack).

Yeap, to quote the link it includes 'the iconic G1 blaster, drill blaster, glass gas blaster, and jetpack accessories inspired by the ones used by Bumblebee, Ironhide, Cliffjumper and Sideswipe respectively'.

Or I could just make my own:

Cliffjumper: It's not my gun, I'm just holding it for a yellow friend.

I did find Bumblebee's Pretender Shell gun in my storage, so just for fun:

Unfortunately, the post is too wide to socket into the port.

Just got this from Hasbro Australia when I contacted them regarding the availability of the toy here:

So, anyone got alternative suppliers?
Looks like we'll have to use them as Hasbro has let us down.

I already put in a Pre-order with Robotkingdom. Might pick up a 2nd one if I actually see one in-store here.

I went with ActionRobo for my Bumblebee preorder. (http://www.actionrobo.com/index/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=1941&search=Bumblebee)
Since I don't know much about about them, but they have some favorable reviews, this should be a safe choice I hope.
I'm not so much concerned about when I get my Bugbee, just that I will be guaranteed one.

Mostly it's just insurance, if my local Kmart fails to get Bugbee in (highly likely), then ActionRobo will do what they failed to.
I honestly don't know what is wrong with my local Kmart, other Australians keep talking about getting their Sky Lynx, Optimus, sometimes even a Scorponok and I'm like, all my Kmart has is an empty section that they've never bothered to restock.
They never had the bigger ones at all, as far as I can tell, Grapple is as big as I have seen from them.
Even asked the BigW stock manager (personally, in store) if they'd get Sky Lynx, the only answer I got was "I don't know".

I've used ActionRobo a lot in the past, especially been able to pick up some random chug stuff, as well as 3P and GenSelects stuff.

As for BugBee, if I see him at a local store, I'll grab him but otherwise my Tak Legends one will do me fine (I'm finally used to the slightly pastel yellow).

I'm currently looking at ordering from ActionRobo since they seem to be the only online store I can find that has SS44 in stock. Do you know if they can ship to a Parcel Locker? And do you still have to pay GST or is factored in already?

I don't know about Parcel Lockers, as I use ShopMate to secure my international deliveries.

But I did notice that Australia Post did charge me the GST on the value of the goods when importing them.
The cost of the item, not the cost of the service they provided.
I do not know if that applies to regular deliveries not using the ShopMate service.

But I did start to wonder if that wasn't exactly ethical, according to my transactions with eBay, I pay American sales tax on whatever I buy, so in actuality, I am paying 2x the sales tax.
Not sure if taxing someone twice for one purchase is appropriate, but financial law is not my strong suit.
