Gigawatt in October - should end up being at EB Games, Amazon Australia and possibly Popcultcha, JBHifi & Mr Toys.
For New Zealand, it will be at MightyApe, Toyco and EB Games.

It almost feels like they're not allowed to put it up for pre-order and it'll just show up in stores October 1st. Could be wrong but haven't seen any US sites list it for pre-order except the limited edition Walmart one.

Looking online, it appears that Gigawatt hasn't been officially "released" for pre-order yet anywhere.
If any online store has it listed, it is just speculative based on what the Walmart edition cost, to lock in people before they see it elsewhere... as we still don't have an official box image of the regular edition released by Hasbro yet.

I'm not sure what the wait is for, as it is expected to be released at around the same time as the other crossover toy Maverick.
(It would be good if it wasn't yet produced, and it was being delayed for them to rework that horrible windshield, due to the backlash over how it looked.)

I'm pretty sure there's no preorder for it. Even the US hasn't seen anything in regards to preordering apart from the special edition. It very much seems like it'll just be available to buy from October 1st.

Maybe the Pulse Con in a couple weeks time was going to be its release.
(I still hope that it is delayed to fix the windshield... but it would be nice to be updated by Hasbro.)

The Amazon Australia listing is here (https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B085JRK7T1/) - it is currently showing as unavailable, but could show up again as they adjust their pre-order listing, as they couldn't have sold out already.
They were reportedly listed for $60, which is a little cheaper than EB Games, and were probably the same release date of December.

I’m guessing people will want their Gigawatt boxes to be pristine. So definately avoid Amazon no matter the cost if the box is precious to you.

Well that's annoying... and the same thing has happened with Maverick as well, so maybe they are both being released soon, and if there are any leftovers they will put the listings back up.

I had left it as well, hoping that the Amazon listing would come back up (slightly cheaper), but if it didn't I would then resort to EB in a few weeks time.
I'm sure with the amount of stock that we are supposed to be getting in Australia, it should be easy to find when it is released. (as long as our stock numbers weren't cut by Hasbro America without telling us)

We were supposed to get a lot of stock of this figure here, but then it disappeared soon after it was listed (quicker than other exclusives that were known to be really limited), as if we didn't get much stock here at all.

From what I've been seeing on Facebook (and my own experience), EB has yet to give anyone their Gigawatts, Mighty Ape has and Amazon cancelled a lot, if not everyone, who pre-ordered with them.

Unfortunately I was also advised that the allocation they received was half of what they were expecting. My pre-order did not make the cut. Take it with a grain of salt as this just came from shop staff rather than higher up the food chain, but given Hasbro's track record this year I can't say I'm surprised.

If true, that would explain why the pre-orders didn't last long everywhere that had Gigawatt... which is really annoying, because I've been talking up how much stock was coming here, and then we get a small portion of it, and then people miss out who were expecting to easily find it when it is released.

I ordered online for a Click and Collect in-store pick-up. I was in the store to check the release date and paid off the outstanding amount. Cashier screwed up the payment at their end and had to call Head Office to fix it. That's when they were told about the cancellations, and to give me a full refund. Was it a story to cover their screw up? Maybe, but I'll post my experience here for general awareness.

Yes, they refunded the deposit and the rest of the amount I tried to pay off. Got the full amount back.

EB Games seem to be all over the place re my pre-order too. No one seems to be able to help me (online, on phone and in-store), so I just gave up and cancelled my order. Probably a good thing too - I don't think I want this figure so badly that I have to chase them for it. The whole process has made me not want to pre-order with them again though.

Ive pre-ordered a bunch of transformers items with EB Games/Zing and have had no issue. I think Giggawatt being a harder to get figure has been an issue for them.
