Inspired by griffin's burger pie (http://www.otca.com.au/burgersp.html). Last Sunday, me and a handful of friends decided to give it a go.

We used McDonald's double beef and cheeseburgers.

We didn't use a bowl to form a pie shape, we just free formed them. Don't know if you could really call them pies ... burger pastries, burger pasties perhaps?

They tasted pretty awesome. Thumbs up to griffin for the killer idea.

We also saw these in the supermarket earlier that night when we were doing food shopping. Impulse novelty buy. They weren't great and they didn't look like the pictures on the box.

As a lover of Mcdonalds double cheeseburgers, I find the idea of burger pastries ingenius. And those pics actually made me drool. Here's an idea - combine deep fried mozzarella with the burger pastries! *Homer drool* :D

This reminds me of a Turducken - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turducken

That thing is awesome! So is the variation listed halfway down, with one bird stuffed with 16 *different* types of other birds!!!

I liked this bit:

In the popular online machinima series Red vs. Blue, the character Sarge tried to outdo the turducken by inventing his own variety containing many birds, plus a pterodactyl and a Boeing 747.

Burger Pie is the most inspiring thing I have ever seen. That is sheer brilliance. Patent this...immediatley. And call Rove, surely something this fantastic deserves some national recognition. :D
