They do look nice, especially that artwork.
I'm over the moon that we got another version of G1 Prime in the Kingdom line. The franchise is in safe hands.

Kingdom is looking to be a fantastic end to the WFC trilogy. So many awesome reveals, and no doubt more, judging from that art.
Figures on the definite list for me:
- Warpath
- Cyclonus
- Cheetor
- Optimus Primal
- Megatron
I’m probably going to follow through with the other Beast Wars guys. The packaging is absolutely awesome, probably the best we’ve seen in CHUG lines. More cardboard and less plastic.
I’m most excited for Galvatron, he looks great judging from the art. One of the leakers apparently has said Gears isn’t getting made after all and his inclusion on the artwork is wrong. Hope it turns out to be wrong, Huffer too.

Nothing on Studio Series '86?
Nothing mentioned, but did anyone notice that both Hot Rod and Kup were absent from that Kingdom artwork? We can clearly see Arcee, UM, Galvatron and Cyclonus though. So SS86 is looking more and more likely.
Otherwise, I'm loving everything I'm seeing of Kingdom so far. Preordered the entire first wave off BBTS and am even considering a second set to keep sealed because the box art looks so awesome. Bravo Hasbro!

The optimus prime looks much worse than earthrise version, like a minibot. Warpath isnt very good either. Cyclonus looks like a good update however. Not reall interested in the Beast Wars stuff.

Pretty sure that the Kingdom Prime is to scale in with the Titan Ark

Yes he’s a scout/legends class figure. The rationale is the same as when the original Cybertron Legends class was introduced - entry level versions of the main characters. (How this is different to Authentics and Cyberverse?!) In terms of scale further info was provided about the mini Rattrap.
The new boxes look great but was purposes of inspecting the figure for QC issues becomes harder. Does he have two fists? Is the gun there. Does he have a right leg? Wait until you open!

It's the Masterpiece Gauntlet!
This lineup is pretty good. I'll be getting Warpath, Huffer, Gears, Inferno, Cyclonus, Galvatron and maybe Tracks and Ultra Magnus.

I missed the live broadcast and they haven?t put video of it up yet. But was anything actually said about the Titan size ark (did they give it a name, for example?). Some people have said the artwork is reminiscent of the Last Autobot, but the colours are completely wrong from what I remember them to be which were blue and gold...... and the last autobot DID have its own ship mode which looked nothing like the ark.

Nothing has been officially said. We’re going off the artwork. The art is apparently what they used to pitch the line to executives, before anything was actually designed. That’s why many characters have just a generic G1/BW look different to their actual figures.
So the Ark bot may end up different to what we see there, but it should probably be along the same lines.

Thanks Bio for that explanation. I?d seen the image, but without the context. That explains why the artwork didn?t match all the figures that were previewed too! Much obliged ;)

Same thread, two different shades & they're quite apart in tone.

The TakaraTomy images look clearer in a white light, so I'd imagine that they would be more accurate... at least, that's what I'm hoping, as Megatron looks better purple than pink (to me).

I think the Takara image is having a CYMK/RBG issue. That face is too red to be right.

Probably a photography issue.
Though the first thing that came to mind for me was it might be a prototype with incorrect colours.

I wonder if we can predict some of the Generations Selects from what's been (officially) revealed so far?
Core
Sub-deluxes haven't had a lot of Selects redecoes, but I think Packrat especially is almost a given, probably with a pack-in to justify the price.
Rattrap - Packrat
Optimus Prime - the usual, Ultra Magnus (maybe) and Nemesis Prime (likely). Nemesis would be an easy one to pack-in with Packrat.
Vertebreak - Nah
Deluxe
Cheetor - Shadow Panther, obviously, unless that gets released in the mainline or Netflix line
Blackarachnia - it seems unlikely for Tarantulus, as the proportions don't work; I also think the name "Ractonite" suggests some sort of spider-skeleton that might serve as a replacement for Tarantulus, since the name is notoriously difficult to trademark. For that reason, I'm gonna go out on a limb and suggest a possible Airachnid redeco for Blackarachnia to celebrate Prime's 10th anniversary.
Warpath - I'm coming up with nothing
Paleotrex - Dinobot II, maybe?
Voyager
Cyclonus - nothing is immediately obvious, but they could do Artfire again I guess
Optimus Primal - Burning Convoy seems like an inevitability, but if we're lucky Hasbro might at least make it closer to the Universe 2002 release rather than just a straight clear red
Leader
Megatron - T-Wrecks, obviously

TakaraTomy have tweeted out several images of Voyager Optimus Primal, in both modes and with the other two Kingdom Voyager Optimus Prime toys (to show size comparison)... all put together here (https://news.tfw2005.com/2020/10/13/transformers-kingdom-voyager-optimus-primal-production-sample-images-421918).

If the Dinobot leak is true then I'll expect that we might get a Beast Wars Grimlock at some point.

TakaraTomy have tweeted out several really clear images of Paleotrex (https://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/takara-tomy-share-new-kd-ex-01-paleotrex-images/45370/), in both modes, as accessories and in its various parts (like the Weaponizers from Siege and Earthrise... to be called Fossilizers in Kingdom).

Megatron shaping up to look super great, detailed and accurate. Some of the initial pics made him look like a very bright too sunburnt looking purple, I'm glad they look mostly normal.

Cyclonus looks like he belongs in the Studio '86 series! Being cynical I'm guessing Jazz was swapped in for him at the last minute to give more autobots to the lineup, seeing as Jazz is a lot more hollow & basic looking than the rest and was originally intended for earthrise or kingdom

I think they're definitely meant to complement each other but doubt Cyclonus was meant for 86. The Kingdom figs continue with the 5mm and effects ports while 86 doesn't.

As noted in the wave 2 Kingdom news topic, this is a link to a collection of photos of the FIRST wave in-hand (https://news.tfw2005.com/2020/11/20/transformers-wfc-kingdom-complete-wave-1-in-hand-mega-gallery-424293)... which I found out later, this is due to Hasbro America once again sending out a box of free toys to major American fansites... containing all eleven toys in the first wave of Kingdom, which won't be released to stores for another couple of months. (probably show up in American stores in the weeks before Christmas, but won't show up here until some time in January or February)
A better report (but less photos) can be seen here at BWTF.com (https://www.bwtf.com/events/kingdom-unboxing).... which tells us that this was a coordinated unboxing, live online, with several fansites sent the box of toys to open at the same time with people from Hasbro talking them through each one.
Transformers unboxing events started in 2018 where fans would gather off-site from New York Comic-Con to get a first hand look at upcoming Transformers products. In past years this took on the form of a gathering of fans from web sites, Youtube channels and more. However, in 2020 we find ourselves in the midst of a pandemic which has forced most meetings to become virtual for safety reasons. That means this year's "unboxing" event was also virtual, held over Zoom Conferencing. The featured product? The entire first wave of War for Cybertron: Kingdom figures! The box of toys was shipped to several venues ahead of the event, so there were several days where I had to ignore these figures, and believe me that was a challenge.
On hand from the Hasbro side were several members of the Transformers team. They included Ben Montano, Rachel Fleming, Ran Sun, Leonard Panzica and Mark Maher. From the media side folks from Transformers mainstays including Seibertron.com, TFW2005.com, TFU.info and Radio Free Cybertron were on hand as well. Hasbro guided us in terms of which items to open and when. As we opened toys we would offer feedback and questions about the items. There were a lot of compliments all around for the Kingdom toys. Kingdom is notable for being the line where long time Senior Design Manager on Transformers departed (joining the Power Rangers team). Taking over is Leonard Panzica and his team, most of whom have had past Transformers experience on lines such as Dark of the Moon and Prime.
