Studio Series 86 Pre-orders at EB Games and Zing

EB Games and Zing have just posted the recently announced SS86 figures for preorder!! Cheaper than the Kingdom figures in their respective size classes. All have a release date of February 2021 at this stage. Great news for anyone worried about missing out on these Transformers.

There are too many exclusives at the moment in pre-order, I'm not locking into a dozen odd regular release toys (SS & Kingdom) as well, especially if they should be widely available next year at most retailers.

I wonder if these are the only ones for "86", or if there will be more... as I didn't hear anything about a wave number, and it looks like Kingdom might have the rest of the 1986 Movie toys (if the leaked toy listings are accurate).
I think those leaked listings also suggest that there are more live-action movie toys coming in Studio Series, so if that's true, I wonder if these six are the only ones.

Exactly. Still waiting to see Inferno and Tracks from Kingdom. Soo many upcoming toys and retail is struggling to keep up with wave 2/3 of Earthrise.

SS86 is just the next wave of SS. You should be able to pick them up at any store that stocks the current SS line and avoid EB Games price gouging.

Suppose you could always preorder and cancel if you end up finding it cheaper elsewhere or potentially price match(?). At least you're guaranteed to get it instead of maybe finding it in store if there's a particular figure you want, especially if it's a 1 per case figure.

Do EB refund the deposit or keep it as a penalty (and offsets the money they lose on any excess stock that gets discounted to sell it).

EB Games will refund your deposit if you make it an issue. However, they only price match on games, not "loot". They consider toys and collectibles to be part of their loot product category.

They refund whatever you've paid on it, including the deposit, even if the item is already in stock. I've done it with a few games I changed my mind on. Even cancelled Unicron and got my $100 back since I figured there was no way I'd be able to store 2 of them.

Thanks. I was hoping that that was the case, and ordinarily I would have been happy to make that assumption, but lately far too many things have been bumped to exclusives, and I read some speculation about them being exclusive in the US (to Target, I think it was)... Figured it was better to ask :)

Im glad I got Giggawatt from Robotkingdom instead of Zing. Already got Snapdragon and Exhaust from Zing/Eb. Dont mind soo much with these main releases. I might get a 2nd Jazz if he pops up somewhere else earlier.
