So two, perhaps three things I want (Magnus is highly doubtful, as I have the Siege one). CHUG purchases are going to be waaaaay down for me next year, which is no bad thing (I spent all of this year and half of last, when I finally decided that yes, I would buy the modern HasTak stuff, playing catch-up). Delighted to see Huffer; that leaves only 3 of the Ark crew to go. Apparently we're definitely not seeing Gears in Kingdom, damnit, so let's hope the design re-surfaces in the next line.

I really must see if the guy at my local EB Games who I discovered was a Beast Wars fan when picking up my Snapdragon ever got around to taking my advice and looking into next year's toy line...

Five of these are must gets for me. (Fossilzers don't interest me and I've ordered Earthrise Arcee)

Huffer looks wonderful and I'm very intrigued by Dinobot and Airazor

Spoke to one of the staff at EB Games Melbourne CBD when I also picked up Snapdragon recently and he said they're expecting the new BW (I assume he's talking about Kingdom), so I expect that to include Mildura.

As standard stock on the shelf, instead of only when ordered by a customer? That's a welcome change, if correct.

And I've just learnt that the scrapped Gears was going to be core class, not deluxe, so let's not hope it re-surfaces :)

Whilst I'm disappointed that they seem to be going for a larger size for the minibots seen in Warpath and Huffer, I must say they look awesome and I will definitely pick them up. Dinobot and Magnus look great too, while I will probably skip the latter since I like my Siege Magnus.

One of the things I've noticed is why are the Deluxe boxes so big when the toys inside barely fill it, feels like a waste of space and more deceptive considering that the clear windows are smaller now (apart from looking more impressive in store shelves of course). The figures look great though.

Cool, wasn't expecting an earth-mode Ultra Magnus. :)

In terms of space, you can comfortably put four or more of the same toy (in alt mode without plastic tray for presentation) in a WFC box. IMO, you're right about the boxes being a certain size for presence on the shelves. Many of the size classes are smaller than what they used to be. The boxes, from a Hasbro's marketing perspective, probably help to justify the cost of the toy.

I'm wondering how much remoulding has gone into the Earth mode Magnus.

The front cab and bumper are definitely new - it will be interesting to see if there is an engineering change here to have the pivot point higher in the figure or whether Magnus's inner robot will have a boxy body
The shoulder pieces are missing the 3mm peg which indicates that they are a new moulding (detail unclear to see whether it has a flatter design without the "vents" of the Siege mould
The red chest of the outer robot has been remoulded to be more square and consistent with his animation design

Other people note that the head seems to be a little different too, with more material around the jaw, but this could just be the photography

Having skipped Siege Magnus, I am curious to see how this new one looks. Airazor has me interested, as does Huffer. Bring on PIPES I say!! I think I'll be skipping the boney-bots. I was never THAT big a fan of realistic beast modes, so missing the meat isn't really doing it for me either. (robo-beasr? HELLS YAH).
But yeah, thems thar boxes be ... I dunno. Nice big artwork though.

I've never been into Transformers emulating organic beast flesh but find these skeletal toys enticing somehow. Definitely will be getting some and wish I could know what they all are in advance.

More Kingdom photos found on a Korean site, (https://news.tfw2005.com/2020/11/30/transformers-kingdom-ultra-magnus-inferno-dinobot-images-425095) this time of Ultra Magnus, Inferno and Dinobot, out of packaging.

Apparently the Korean site they are on is a legit government site that registers products to be released in South Korea... but probably isn't meant to be viewed by the public, or be the platform for first reveals of someone else's products. I guess we use it while we still can.

Had an issue with delivery of my Siege version from Amazon, where it shipped but was lost, so when this was rumoured I decided to get my money back in hope of getting an Earth mode version.

Safety Korea is awesome, but I can?t see it being available for too long, or else Hasbro might have to delay their Korea releases.

I just *love* the new Airrazor. The bird mode is so pretty. Between her and Ratty, they?re really doing a great job of capturing the animal modes (hard to tell with a giant purple dinosaur, as I?ve never seen one in real life outside of Barney).

That AirRazor looks ABSOLUTELY stunning. That's a definite for me.

Dinobot looking a lil chunky around the middle in raptor mode, but the bot mode more than makes up for it. I feel like using the real raptor head for the centre of the chest and having the additional side pieces to mimic the show's deformation is a nice middle ground to just having a flatout fake chest like the MP figure. I'm keen on it. I'd be keen on a BW Grimlock repaint too (Generations Select anyone?)

Magnus I'm not keen on. The core robot just doesn't work as well with a boxy Earthen truck mode. The angular Cybertron truck mode and the bumper sliding up the figure's back on the WFCS figure really helped improve the core robot mode's proportions by moving a lot of the mass to the shoulders and then tapering toward the waist. It elevated it from 'token, kind of trash' to 'still token, but decent'.

Safety Korea is awesome, but I can?t see it being available for too long, or else Hasbro might have to delay their Korea releases.

I think it's like the patent office submissions we saw prototypes from during the initial Classics waves - not sure whether that was within China or Japan, but we used to see the resin prototypes coming from their website until Hasbro/Takara changed up how they lodge their patent submissions.

As for the new images - these all look stunning. Seems I was right with the shoulders, head and chest all being new parts - the head has more mass around the neck than the Siege release and also has the "sunglasses" look to the eyes - but also the sides of the car carrier components are different, meaning it sits further back on the cab than the Siege version did. Very fascinating to see how much new work went into this version. I may have just convinced myself to double dip on Magnus...

It has a very boxy chest but kinda necessary for the armour. I saw someone wish that the inside bot had been ER Prime but that seems unrealistic with the transformation and way more cost to produce.

Regarding the bumper, definitely seems they mistransformed it. The box pictures have it on the shoulder like the Siege version.

That tiny Megatron looks great! When I saw it through bleary eyes this morning I was convinced that it was another remold of the WFCS Voyager which initially annoyed me. At a tiny scale, that looks great.

The rest of the reveals are a bit meh, compared to the ones from the day before. I'm not as taken with the concept of Fossilizers as I was with Weaponizers.

I do quite like the look of that Inferno, but I know that Grapple had some build and quality issues so I'm a bit hesitant.

Wheeljack getting another run, as if earthrise and Netflix exclusive wasn't enough!!

Looking forward to Tracks and Galvatron (never been a beast wars fan so unsure on the others listed)

Curious to see who they use for the next netflix wave for the upcoming Kingdom series (unless this has been announced/leaked?)

Will Slammer be a white version of Warpath or a new weaponizer mold? More interested in the core class figures especially interested in seeing what the core class Soundwave will be like.

Wingfinger and Shadow Panther could be Maximal fossilizers, seeing as all the dinosaur ones have been Predacons so far.

The two Netflix Voyagers are apparently Optimus Primal and an unknown Seeker. People are speculating they'll have a Core class included instead of 2 battle masters.

Isn't Shadow Panther just a black Cheetor repaint? I wouldn't expect that to change but never know I guess.

There seems to be a lot of scuttlebutt that only season 1 BW characters will get figures and the only new ones appear to be fossilizers and the Kingdom poster shows Primal wearing armour made from a sabertooth tiger bones.

But a skeletal sabertooth tiger doesn't really match up with the name Shadow Panther. Guess we'll see soon enough but personally would find it weird if it didn't match the previous versions with that name.

Official toy images from wave 2 Deluxe have been released (https://news.tfw2005.com/2021/01/09/transformers-kingdom-wave-2-deluxe-arcee-ractonite-huffer-airazor-new-stock-images-427077), as most previous images were the CG ones. (not sure of what the original source is)

Could be wrong but looks like it's DorksideToys? https://dorksidetoys.com/collections/transfomers

Probably is from there, as they have been the source for a lot of the new official images in the last year or so.
TFW are usually pretty good with crediting the source, rather than just the person posting up the images/info.

A great gallery of images of the Kingdom Ultra Magnus toy next to the Siege Ultra Magnus toy (https://news.tfw2005.com/2021/01/13/transformers-kingdom-leader-class-ultra-magnus-in-hand-images-427231). The Kingdom version is an earth mode, that has a fair bit of remoulding, mostly on the cab, but also some changes to the trailer to give the robot mode some differences with the front and the shoulders.
The screenshots are from another one of those youtube videos of an unreleased toy.

Yeah, just now saw Kremzeek's comparison video. Had no need of a second Magnus, no intention of buying the Earthrise one... and now that little idea of having Cybertronian AND Earth versions (which I thought I had thoroughly killed off when I decided that Earthrise Prowl was fatally flawed) has resurfaced. Damnit.

Worse yet, upon seeing the alt-mode I just could not help but imagine the forthcoming Galvatron perched on top of it. Damn and blast.

I just can't get into this new Magnus, which is a shame because the WFCS version is one of my favourite figures ever. It has less refined lines, especially in unarmoured robot mode.

Earth mode Magnus looks great but only a marginal improvement over the Siege one. That one cost a pretty penny, so I'm not too keen on replacing him. I can't believe people even demanded an Earth mode version, the Siege one is already 99% Earthen already, being based off the RID/Car Robots Magnus alt mode. Guess they saw the opportunity to make double the cash and took it, which is fine I guess since it's only an option.

If he ends up on sale, I guess I'll get one.

I actually prefer the Siege alt mode, but the robot mode for Kingdom is fantastic and addresses most of the things that were not quite there with Siege. I've pretty much convinced myself I need both...

Huh, that reminds me, I still need to ever-so-slightly bore out my Grapple's peg-holes with my dremel.

Anybody have any guesses as to when W2 might arrive here? Will we get it earlier than elsewhere the way we've got W1 and SS86 early?

I slightly filed down the pegs not the holes on Grapple.

I could have gone with either way, but then I heard stories about how the plastic of the pegs is thin, and it is quite easy to break them.

oh ok. I used barely any pressure with a nail file on both pegs and they work perfectly.

Good to know that it doesn't take much at all, whichever way you do it :)

Now, will I get around to it before I need to do it to Inferno? I presume that Inferno won't be any different at all...

Hard to say if they’ve been paying attention to the problem on fan sites, it is pretty well-documented I think. They did fix the issue with Siege Starscream’s chest for the Thundercracker release (and presumably the Rainmakers which came out around that time), so maybe they will make some revisions, considering it’s over a year later for this next use of the mould.
