So a new G1-inspired Bumblebee and new transforming* Exo-suit wearing Spike Witwicky is coming

https://i.imgur.com/YsqNXECl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/NRM5WMDl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/aOfevDRl.jpg

*1 step transformation appears to be "lay figure down".

Source: I first saw here on Twitter (https://twitter.com/hotconvoy/status/1336022339952156672), but some more info and pics at TFW2005 (https://news.tfw2005.com/2020/12/07/transformers-war-for-cybertron-buzzworthy-bumblebee-2-pack-bumblebee-spike-stock-images-425515)

The toylines are seriously blurring together this year.

The packaging is in the colours of Bumblebee Movie / Cyberverse toys, with a Cyberverse BB face, but it also has a War for Cybertown Trilogy logo and character art in WFC style.

It's TFTM characters so kind of fits with Studio Series 86 line? He might scale better than the Netflix Deluxe?

It's maybe a Core class size figure that otherwise would have been in Kingdom?

And just to throw further confusion in the mix, that vehicle mode is clearly Bumper's. Hope that means we get a head retool at some point.

EDIT: Just noticed that they moulded in the "Penny Racer" flap at the back of the vehicle. I heart you Hasbro.

Buzzworthy Bumblebee 15 Bumblebee & Charlie - Repack of Studio Series SS-15 1976 Camaro Bumblebee and Charlie figurine, but without the extra car parts (probably no stickers either, so it looks very plain).
Buzzworthy Bumblebee 26 WWII Bumblebee - Repack of Studio Series SS-15.
Buzzworthy Bumblebee 40 Shatter (Car mode) – Repack of Studio Series SS-40
Buzzworthy Bumblebee 74 Camaro Bumblebee & Sam – Repack of the upcoming SS-74 ROTF Bumblebee & Sam Witwicky

Hey, don't sell the toy too short, there is a panel on his back you flip over to cover the legs.

I get so many mixed feelings from this toy. It's so confused.

Another toy has been found sporting this new Buzzworthy branding... the mega 1-step Bumblebee from the 4th Movie in 2014 (https://news.tfw2005.com/2020/12/22/transformers-buzzworthy-bumblebee-mega-1-step-bumblebee-found-at-us-retail-426506), for US$30.
That makes it six toys now in this new set of packaging.
It was found at a Target store in the US, which could mean that the line is a Target exclusive line. (I can't imagine this being a general release line, as Bumblebee isn't THAT popular to the older collectors that most of his line is aimed at, so a retailer (Target) MUST have actually asked for a set of mostly Bumblebee toys in Bumblebee themed packaging... as there is no movie coming out soon.)

The four Studio Series toys have also been found at US Retail (https://news.tfw2005.com/2020/12/24/transformers-buzzworthy-bumblebee-figures-out-at-us-retail-426602), also at Target, looking more like Target exclusives.

The Buzzworthy Bumblebee toys are all showing up at Target stores in the US now, including two more - Cyberverse Spark Armor packs. (https://news.tfw2005.com/2020/12/31/transformers-buzzworthy-bumblebee-spark-armor-bumblebee-trash-crash-and-megatron-chopper-cut-found-at-us-retail-426828)
One looks to be a straight re-release of Megatron (with helicopter), while the other one has Bumblebee packed with the garbage truck that was originally released with Grimlock, and is a different colour.
They were US$25 each.

Still no word if they will show up here... but would there be any collector demand for this line here?
Aside from the new 2-pack that is, as this line appears to be aimed at the Retailers and general customers, so would have been better if it was released before Christmas (as I expect a heap of Bumblebee themed toys will shelf-warm if there isn't a reason for regular customers to grab random Branded gifts).

Since the Buzzworthy Bumblebee 2-pack with Spike has been found at Retail in America this week, some comparison images have surfaced (https://www.allspark.com/2021/01/new-in-hand-photos-including-size-comparison-of-buzzworthy-bumblebee-and-spike/) to show us how it scales to a selection of other current toys.

Official images have now been found of the two Cyberverse packs (https://www.allspark.com/2021/01/first-stock-photos-of-transformers-buzzworthy-bumblebee-spark-armor-bumblebee-trash-crash-and-megatron-chopper-cut/), showing us the new colours of the Garbage Truck that comes with Bumblebee. Everything else in the two packs appear to be identical to the original release, which makes it odd to recolour the garbage truck, but then appear to not change anything on any of the other re-release toys in this line.

And it appears to be more than a one-off range (exclusive to Target in America), as there are more to come in the second half of the year, but this line still hasn't had any official marketing or advertising by Hasbro. It just suddenly showed up in America, and probably be in most other countries as well.

Not a perfect toy, but I guess the main attraction is the alt mode. I’ll get one. We really should have got saucer Bee in Siege, same for Wheeljack. Quite unlikely but I hope we see him too at some point.

Well, we don't all have them lined up in an identity parade just cos they're Cons... My Wheeljack has his back to the viewer permanently because he's working on something/one.

Anyway, yes, at last! And it appears to be some variety of deluxe class toy, going by the parts and number of transformation steps.

It seems very small in robot mode, just seeing from how it sits in the package.

But I assume a lot of the mass has gone into the vehicle mode - for reference, the whole chest looks to only take up a portion of the saucer's nose.

I would be shocked if it wasn't the same size as the Netflix Bumblebee in robot mode. Both that and Cliffjumper have a lot of empty space in their standard deluxe packaging too.

I don't know if it will be at Target in the US, but on the list at the beginning of the year of Buzzworthy toys expected for Australia, this one wasn't on there. But it doesn't mean that we won't get it, as plans change, or it may have been left off the list by accident.
I will have to ask, but might not get an answer if it hasn't been confirmed for here yet.

Okay... it will indeed be at Target in America for us$23... which is almost their rrp for Voyager class, despite this toy looking like it is smaller than a Deluxe.
If it comes here it would be $40-45... and we thought the 2pack Bumblebee was expensive.

A bit of research has found that this 4-pack is the "Evergreen Warrior 4 pack", which we should be getting here in the 2nd half of the year, as a Myer exclusive.
Since they are all just re-releases of Cyberverse Warrior toys, and Myer pricing is likely to make it more than the four individual toys... this news is not too exciting.

I think the interesting thing comparing the Netflix Bumblebee to the Buzzworthy 4 pack is how the 4 pack feels more vibrant and full of character.

Part of this is the need for the Volkswagen roof as the chest, which makes him look stumpy and more rounded. The other factor is the colour with the brighter yellow better reflecting the cheeriness of the character and the vibrancy of the cartoon.

This was the same back and forth during the original Masterpiece, and seeing the two together shows that the hope of getting a VW Bumblebee will always be compromised in some way.

Looking good. And no stupid junk like the most recent Buzzworthy Bumblebee. Really rather ticked I missed the one-day-window to order from TFH :)

I take back the bit about no junk. I forgot about the energon rods, and it turns out that the toy can't hold them. In fact no toy with 5mm hand-holes will be able to hold them, because they are capped at each end with something thicker than that, and the caps can't be removed.

That's just daft. Can't imagine what Hasbro were thinking there; stupidest Transformers decision I've seen all year, and that includes the bizarre 4-pack with Fangry.

The second wave of Studio Series "repacks" in the Buzzworthy Bumblebee packaging are 2-packs this time.... and they are supposed to be at Target here like the first wave was.

There looks to be three 2-packs in this wave, and they have just been found at the same time in Asia (https://news.tfw2005.com/2021/07/24/new-buzzworthy-bumblebee-clunker-bumblebee-barricade-2-pack-revealed-438093) and America (https://news.tfw2005.com/2021/07/24/buzzworthy-bumblebee-high-octane-bumblebee-stinger-and-bumblebee-dropkick-2-packs-revealed-438102) (at US Target for us$42 each), so could be just weeks away from being released here as well.

Mv1 - SS-27 Clunker (60s) Bumblebee & SS-28 Barricade
Mv4 - SS-79 High Octane Bumblebee (re-release AOE DLX toy) & SS-02 Stinger
Mv6 - SS-18 (VW) Bumblebee & SS-46 (car) Dropkick

(There are four packs to a carton, so there could be a fourth 2-pack... although, one photo suggests there could be 2 of the 2007 packs per carton - we might have to wait a few days to see for sure.)

That should mean the real SS-79 toy is indeed going to be the 2014 AOE Deluxe toy, which could look a little different in design to the rest of the Studio Series display.

For those of us in Australia, we were supposed to be getting three of this second wave (if they are still coming here, they should start showing up in the next month or two)...

F1584 TRA BB CRASH COMBINERS 2 PACK (these are the two RID packs in this post) - KMART

F1852 TRA BB EVERGREEN WARRIOR 4 PACK (this is the 4-pack with Fangry, Bumblebee, Nemesis Primal and Blackarachnia (https://news.tfw2005.com/2021/07/26/buzzworthy-bumblebee-worlds-collide-4-pack-found-at-target-438183)) - MYER

F1853 TRA BB BUMBLEBEE 2 PACK STUDIO SERIES (these are the three 2-packs of Studio Series toys that were just revealed in the post above this one) - TARGET

So damned disappointing. Once more we have to resort to scalpers, or hope against hope that one or two Australian retailers might be able to import a couple (and then that we know about it in time to order).

I know that the previous pack, Bumblebee and Spike, isn't selling (saw a dozen just this evening), but that's because it is junk. I can't imagine that this would not fly off the shelves, just like Netflix Bumblebee did.

JJJ

Hmm. The scalpers are doing a roaring trade over on Ebay. 10 new items overnight (probably more, because I'm filtering out auctions), all of which start at at least twice the retail price, and reach past $100 once you factor in postage, GST, and "import fees".

In America, the Origins Bumblebee is retailing for us$23 (https://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/listing-found-on-target-for-transformers-buzzworthy-bumblebee-origin-bumblebee/46053/).

Their RRPs at the moment, according to the Hasbro site, are...
KD Deluxe- - 17
KD Voyager- 25
SS Deluxe - - - 20
SS Voyager - - 30

So for a toy that is the size of the smallest Deluxe toy in WFC so far, I think it is expensive for almost costing the price of a Voyager in America... hence the guess of about au$45 if it had come here.

Paulbot

Just noting that US scalpers are not the only source for the Origin Bumblebee, it can be had from Robot Kingdom if you can stomach their grossly inflated postage fees. Just be aware that they appear to do something non-standard at checkout when they interface with Paypal, and you'll have to use a work-around (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php/28009-Robot-Kingdom-amp-Paypal).

They certainly aren't one for price-matching... or sales that I can recall, that isn't something old being discounted to get rid of it.
