Smokescreen gets slagged for being impatient, HotSpot blew himself to kingdomcom (so no Defensor in G2), and as Zed said Red Alert is blown asunder because of Grimlock's error of judgement (really out of character for old Red too).

Whats great is that most characters who only appear on 1-2 pages in the G2 comic are shown alive, then getting destroyed!

Well as it happened in the prequel (of sorts) of G2 in the Marvel Gijoe Comic. Chase was among Hotspots squad sent to capture Megatron who had been rebuilt as G2 Megs by Cobra. Hotspot and his squad were forced to retreat when they were engaged by both Megatron and Cobra forces. As they retreated A Cobra Dominator missile tank blew Chase's leg off making him easy prey for Megatron who anihilated him at point blank range.
So yes he was NOT killed by Cobra's Cobra only helped. So Roller you are correct.

As for the others

In the Devils Due G.I. Joe vs Transformers volume 1, Stormshadow in S.N.A.K.E armour effectively severed Trailbreakers head with a blast.


In the Devils Due G.I. Joe vs Transformers volume 2, Cobra Commander had Starscream rigged with explosives in case he turned treacherous, and sure enough Starscream did. However Cobra Commander detonated the explosives and had the last laugh.

And In the original G.I. Joe vs Transformers or was that Transformers vs G.I. Joe? Doctor Mindbender planted an explosive device in Dirge, which was later detonated by Serpentor to prove to the Autobots that Cobra was on thier side.

G2 was awesome,most of the art wasn't the best I agree. But I do really like Geoff Seniors work, he gave the Trasnformers this gritty viscereal quality you just can't find anywhere else. In any case I find it a nice change from a lot of the more pristine kiddy friendly tf stories out there. As a whole it's still my favourte TF comic series bar none.

Me too, I love the wiring jutting out of large abdominal wounds, and the sharp lines of the G2 comic. I also love the colour palette used, but then again after Yomtov's "colours" (if they can even be called that) anything would have been an improvement even a 6 year old with a 12 pack of crayons.

The first three Cyberjets were Decepticons, the second three (all repaints) were Autobots. Having said that, the only allegiance symbols on any of them were G2 Decepticon symbols on Jetfire & Strafe! Nonetheless, the tech specs for Jetfire, Strafe & Air Raid clearly defined them as the characters from G1.

Three years after a massive Decepticon attack on Autobot City resulted in major Autobot casualities, including the death of Optimus Prime, the Autobot's "early warning system" (penetrable only in a hijacked Autobot spacecraft) has been reduced to Arcee standing out the front looking out for invaders? Seriously that makes no sense. She's just standing there watching the sky! At least in the command centre they picked up the invaders on radar, I'm not sure how someone standing at the gate really helps prevent anyone but the local Mormons coming to convert the Autobots.

In the cartoon we saw that Brawn joined the Decepticons after the movie (see Carnage in C-Minor) so maybe in the comic universe he betrayed his former friends by helping the Quintessons invade (it didn't help him though because he was still strung up on the city walls alongside the other Autobots). :)

I the 1st two issues of Space Pirates really and was really happy w/ it. It's the 1st of the UK stuff that I've really really taken a liking to. The web of conflict and intrigue's won me over. The art's not that great tho. So I agree that the whole Arcee foil is rather stupid. It was the only downer imo of the two issues I read. I look forward to Metroplex's involvement next issue. It's a great cover too the next one.

But STL's question was "In Beast Wars, how many Predacons survive?" - I would take that as referring to Beast Wars lore in its entirety, not just the TV show.

By "survive" I'm going to assume that means characters that - as far as we've seen so far - haven't remained permanently deceased. Because several characters are killed and revived even in the duration of the TV show (e.g.: Optimus Primal).

So by that definition I would say the answer is 3, because Ravage is rebuilt (as "Tripredacus Agent" - although in the fiction he's still called Ravage). Tarantulas is also resurrected, but that doesn't count because he's undead, and technically speaking being undead still counts as being deceased, so he doesn't count. :p

It must have occured in the episode "Changing of the Guard (http://transformers.wikia.com/wiki/Changing_of_the_Guard)" when Depth Charge was fighting Rampage (as usual :)) & ultimately causes Sentinel to fall into Inferno's hands.

Back at the Maximal Base, Primal offers Depth Charge a place with the Maximals so mistakes like this can be avoided in the future, and Depth Charge agrees to consider it.

Depth Charge - in his independent quest for Protoform X - collided into Rattrap and Silverbolt, causing them to lose Sentinel to Inferno. Realising that his independent actions robbed the Maximals of a significant tactical victory, he agreed to ally himself with Optimus Primal and his Maximals. :)
