Indeed. (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/animated-8/transformers-collectors-club-issue-24-cover-166255/)

I am still endlessly amused by Strika's lipstick.

Also, Brawn. (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/animated-8/transformers-animated-brawn-animation-model-revealed-166256/)

You know how those G1 books had art that was basically a drawing of the toy? Yeah, that's what Brawn reminds me of.

He reminds me of the JUGGERNAUT!

He reminds me more so of Gears. I wonder if that's on purpose for a planned repaint/reuse?

Well,

I'm guessing Strika's toy will be based on Bulkhead's mould so a reuse of Brawn's toy-mould into Gears wouldn't be that much of a stretch...

Now that you mention it, yeah, he does look like the Juggernaut.

Wow, we really are getting homages to lots of superheroes in Animated, aren't we?

Me Likey Rodimus.

Yeah me too. I think he looks pretty cool.

Just wondering with the space style background are we going to see more outer space style adventures a-la season 3 of G1?

Actually, this Strika looks more effeminate than the original Strika! :D She's always been a pretty tough looking girl (although she did clearly have feminine qualities to her personality too, e.g. appreciation of beauty etc.)

I like Strika. She moves away from the arguably sexist/chauvinistic model of other female Transformers, especially female Autobots like Arcee (who was super-girly in The Headmasters). Persona-wise she was always strong, powerful, intelligent and cunning - always portrayed as an equal to her fellow Vehicon general Obsidian. Physically she doesn't have the 'voluptious/curvacious' female shape which is part of the package of being the sort of "damsel" archetype. In a way she's a positive model for girls because she shows that girls can be intelligent and assertive as well as non-conformist to the perceived voluptious body shape. The lipstick kind of flies right against that grain which disappoints me.

Want Want Want.

I like the gears repaint too, looks nice!

Also there are reports of an Animated Art book, along the lines of the Ark compendiums, all the animation models used in the show, except the Animated one is meant to be in colour... linky (http://boltax.blogspot.com/).

I also guess so.:) Could there be both a voyager and leader version like bulky, this wouldn't be a surprise.

Somehow when I look at Strika, reminds me of that bug Mad Margaret in that toon Erky and Perky :D:D You just know itll fit the character's voice too.
