Anticipating an imminent release, or an accidental early addition to the official website, the Kingdom page on the Transformers website (https://transformers.hasbro.com/en-au/brands/kingdom) has/had bios and artwork for what should be the wave 4 toys.

Deluxe Pipes
Deluxe Slammer
Deluxe Shadow Panther
Deluxe Waspinator
Voyager Tigertron

Thundercracker?
Nemesis Prime?
Ratchet?

Two of the Seekers are also there, and since Starscream has only been released in the Core class for Kingdom, I'm guessing that Thundercracker will be core class as well. Nemesis Prime is there too, which I would be surprised if it was a redeco of the Leader class toy, which itself is actually an Earthrise toy... so my thinking is that it will be a redeco of the Core class Optimus toy.

Ratchet is a puzzle. If this character line up is only the regular retail mainline, I wonder if there is an intention to re-release Ratchet as a regular release toy.

And a bit below the character section, we have a pdf image of the first 12 of 16 Destiny cards revealed, which gives us some nice clear images of the 3rd wave of cards, despite wave 3 not fully released yet.

I've seen quite a lot of talk about Ratchet, Nemesis, TC getting rereleases or new toys because of their presence on that site but I'm not too confident that'll happen.

Barricade is also there but would he get a new toy or rerelease so soon after Dominus? TC is using his Siege artwork. Heck, Moonracer was in the show and she didn't get a new toy or rerelease.

I just don't want people to get their hopes up only to be disappointed.

Someone managed to get their hands on a boxed Tigatron (Voyager), and screenshots can be seen here (https://news.tfw2005.com/2021/07/22/first-look-at-transformers-kingdom-voyager-tigatron-437862). The destiny card inside was for Unicron, which would probably be the 16th card, as there was only five characters with three destinies... which should only come to 15.

I love the sculpt. Very dynamic for a childs toy. Some mis givings like gun storage but overall I give thumbs up

I wonder if all three are cores. I wouldn't mind a small scale Ratchet (and Ironhide too).

A couple of leaked toys from some new people stealing toys... Pipes (https://news.tfw2005.com/2021/08/11/first-look-at-transformers-kingdom-deluxe-pipes-438913) (a minor remould of Huffer) and Shadow Panther (https://news.tfw2005.com/2021/08/10/transformers-kingdom-deluxe-shadow-panther-in-hand-images-438794) (a black Cheetor with a new head - homaging the mutant head of the original Mutant Head that the 1996 Cheetor toy had).

And what could also be from the fourth wave (or a store exclusive at the same time) is Bluestreak (https://news.tfw2005.com/2021/08/11/possible-first-look-at-transformers-generations-selects-bluestreak-438909) (a redeco of the regular Bluestreak.

So the extra swivel for the cab on Pipes was just too much re-moulding for Hasbro's budget? Or were the thieves as incompetent as Hasbro's hired photographers? The former would be slightly disappoiting, but not at all surprising.

No, hang on, there's a different picture further on through the thread, the cab can rotate. Yay!

Like the gun much better than the ... thing ... they gave Huffer.

Blue Bluestreek, huh? Well, I guess you get a lot of fanatics demanding it. One more thing not to buy this year :)

Oh hey, that Bluestreak is using the Smokescreen mould for some reason...

Mis-transformations, missing parts (and defective factory rejects) is why Hasbro (and toy companies in general) don't like their products being leaked (stolen) before they are officially revealed, because first impressions can be difficult to overcome, and make it more challenging to turn people around later to be on board.
Conversely, a first impression showing off a flawless figure with its full range of features, can have people locked in straight away, even if some minor issues show up later.

I wonder why they chose to produce a toy that is not only referring to a Diaclone toy, but also a Mexican hodge-podge...

I wondered how they solved the gaping space behind Pipes's head with reuse of the Huffer mold. It looks like somehow the cab can be rotated so that back of the cab, with the white rectangle and Autobot sign, sits behind his head, as opposed to Huffer who has the gaping space over his head due to this being the front/inside of his cab. The original G1 Huffer and Pipes were actually back to front - the front of Huffer was the bottom of the truck, while the front of Pipes was the top and so their cabs were situated differently (also why their arms/smokestacks point down vs up).

Yes, as this chefatron video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pk-VFRsREps) shows, they added a swivel joint to where the cab attaches.

Two of the wave 4 Deluxes have apparently been found at a toy store in Chile - Waspinator & Shadow Panther (https://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/transformers-kingdom-wave-4-deluxe-toys-found-at-chilean-retail/46276/) - which is odd, unless there is a 5th wave coming for Pipes and Slammer.
The early release, if it was a legitimate appearance at a retailer, could be like how toys show up here at Toyworld months before they should, because they were sent out by accident.

griffin
11th September 2021, 07:42 PM
The people who found the wave 4 Deluxe toys in Chile, noted that the master cartons only had Waspinator and Shadow Panther as new toys, packed with Tracks and Paleotrex (the first re-release of Deluxe toys from earlier waves)... and an online store in Canada has also started shipping out that 4th wave (https://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/kingdom-wave-4-deluxes-now-shipping-from-canadian-retailer-and-confirm-wave-revision/46286/), which also had those same four toys.
So what has happened to Pipes and Slammer, and when are they getting released?

Looking back on the leaked Amazon Australia listings in April, the four Deluxe toys that were expected for wave 4 have consecutive product numbers, which means that they were at least originally intended to be released together... and Pipes & Slammer have product numbers before Waspinator.

F0681 Hasbro Transformers Generations War for Cybertron: K Deluxe Shadow Panther Action Figur - $35 (https://www.amazon.com.au/Hasbro-Transformers-Generations-War-Cybertron/dp/B08P3RSQ5S)

F0682 Hasbro Transformers Generations War for Cybertron: K Deluxe Pipes Action Figur - $35 (https://www.amazon.com.au/Hasbro-Transformers-Generations-War-Cybertron/dp/B08P3T7FC8)

F0683 Hasbro Transformers Generations War for Cybertron: K Deluxe Slammer Action Figur - $35 (https://www.amazon.com.au/Hasbro-Transformers-Generations-War-Cybertron/dp/B08P3S4QKX)

F0684 Hasbro Transformers Generations War for Cybertron: K Deluxe Waspinator Action Figur - $35 (https://www.amazon.com.au/Hasbro-Transformers-Generations-War-Cybertron/dp/B08P3TT5FB)

I really hope that they have planned a 5th wave and signed up retailers to it, as we are getting into that part of the year that retailers stop ordering the "old season" and start clearing their shelves in time for the new season of stock that comes out in December/January. The first wave of Kingdom stock arrived in the country in October last year, so if there is a 5th wave of Kingdom and we don't get it here by the end of next month, the focus of Hasbro Australia and Retailers here will be on next year's toyline (receiving into the country and preparing to ship to stores).

And Hasbro seems to have dropped "revision waves" some time ago (maybe the planned waves are spaced out enough that retailers are only signing up to each wave and don't order replenishments, as they expect new stock to arrive at fairly regular intervals)... and in the last couple of years when there has been a full wave of just re-released toys, it gets a new wave number (which you see in Cyberverse and Rescue Bots)... when in years past, it would usually be called a revision wave (and we sometimes had revision waves that had a new figure in, which made it even more frustrating to keep track of, or track down in some countries).

It's by that UK guy who often has package samples, which had me thinking he was getting them from Hasbro to promote... but I'd be surprised if Hasbro UK were allowed to give out a sample of a toy that Hasbro America hasn't revealed or announced that it is being revealed (like they did when we were revealing SS Starscream last year). And if this was acquired as a leaked toy, I'd be disappointed that Hasbro UK was using someone on social media who buys stolen toys, just to benefit from their large audience.

The delay on Hasbro properly revealing these is truly insane... what are they doing?!?!

griffin
26th September 2021, 12:16 PM
My guess is that they have worked out that despite how cheap it is to do an online reveal, it was still marketing money spent where it wasn't needed, as we will either already know what the toys are, or we will still buy them if a toy we didn't know about suddenly shows up for sale.

For those of us who have been around for a couple decades, we've seen Hasbro fan marketing strategies come and go... they will set something up that is aimed at fans and it goes along for a few weeks or months, and then suddenly disappears quietly, either due to budget or change of management at Hasbro (each new person may have their own opinion on what the company "needs" to share, as their primary corporate concern is selling their products to retailers).
