What is your favourite federation starship class?
If you designed your own, what would it look like?

Still have a spot for the first one I saw - the Galaxy Class

I'm partial to the smaller Borg Killer ships personally. The Defiant, the Akira and the Prometheus are all favourites.

I've always had a special fondness for the Nova-class - like Voyager it's got the sleekness of the Galaxy-class in a smaller, more techy-looking package that I think makes it a bit more relatable (I love the D, but I feel there's a degree of style over substance to it), but without the Intrepid's shortcomings (IMO), the too-long saucer and stubby little nacelles; instead she's got some inspiration from the Sovereign-class, but without being a show-off about it.

The borg killer style ships are cool as they are not your standard federation geometry.
Intrepid class, but not its variants.
Danube class runabouts, nova class

I like small interesting ships, or absolute juggernaughts
