Thunderclash uses G1 UltraMagnus as the base. I didn't want to alter it though, so I swapped some spare Optimus legs and repainted those. But I'm not happy with it so far, it doesn't have that Thunderclash personality.

Then I thought, what about the TFPrime UltraMagnus? I've already repainted that one as Octane/Tankor.

Should I just keep going with G1, or start over with a TFPrime?

I like the colour choice and the shoulder stickers of the Thunderclash, but as you say - the body shape doesn't really befit him.

I think the RID legends Prime is probably a decent start. I thought the long nose truck wouldn't work as an alt mode, but have seen a few decent long nose truck customs that hold the character well.

I think going with a TFPrime Magnus is going to be too large as they were closer to current Core class in terms of size.
