Part one of four of the golden disc collection was revealed overnight, the Road Ranger and Puffer 2 pack
Amazon America exclusive (https://www.amazon.com/Transformers-TRA-Golden-Ranger-Puffer/dp/B08TQQVPL2/) - 1st March 2022 - us$42
The American listing is actually available for pre-order for us in Australia, but it should also be on Amazon Australia as well (page was up in April but then taken down).
GOLDEN DISK COLLECTION: The Golden Disk is a powerful artifact with the ability to reveal knowledge of the past, the future, and of the infinite possible destinies throughout time. Discover an alternate timeline in which the quantum surge that mutated many Maximals and Predacons into Transmetals, goes very differently…
CHAPTER 1: THROUGH THE VORTEX: The quantum surge causes a time vortex, intercepting the GoBot Road Ranger and the Autobots Pipes and Huffer, pulling them through time and space. During the wild journey through the vortex, Huffer and Pipes fuse and arrive on prehistoric Earth as Puffer
COMPLETE YOUR GOLDEN DISK COLLECTION: Packaging features a part of a Golden Disk graphic. Collect this pack along with the other 3 Golden Disk Collection packs to complete the graphic! (Each sold separately. Subject to availability)

I have 3 ordered for myself and two other members here, but I'm hoping that Amazon AU lists it as the Ozformers Facebook page suggested.

It was available on Amazon Au initially if you used the wishlist method or the Transformers hub page
My AU order from May has updated the thumbnail for Jackpot, which is a good sign
Also, for the keen observer, the car mode photo of Jackpot has a crack in the centre of the windscreen

So apart from ordering from the UK and using a forwarder, what are the options here? Wait for Amazon AU to stock it (if it is stocked at all...), and maybe look for it in Asian shops? This isn't the sort of thing EB gets in, is it?

The Amazon America listing (https://www.amazon.com/Transformers-TRA-GEN-Golden-Jackpot/dp/B08TQB3Z3L) - for release March 1st 2022 (same day as the first pack), for us$23 (a great price in America, as it is in the middle of the retail range for Deluxe class, but comes with a Battlemaster for free, and a fancy box).
It is strange that this second set isn't allowing people from Australia to order it, but the first set did allow it.
CHAPTER 2: …AND OUT THE OTHER SIDE: The quantum surge causes a time vortex, intercepting the Action Master Jackpot and his partner Sights, pulling them through time and space. Somehow the journey through the vortex gave Jackpot the ability to convert into a vehicle mode and altered Sights alt mode

If only they had spaced apart the official reveals of these first two packs, as it could have been well played by Hasbro to send the fandom on a wild goose chase, and see how quickly someone whips up a custom redeco Wheeljack toy and claim it is a leaked Golden Disk toy.
The Jackpot toy hadn't actually leaked yet, so it was a waste opportunity to mess with us, and then surprise us with the real reveal later... after the fandom had been fighting over if the Jackpot listing was real or a mistake.

The orange Tigatron from a product display in 1996 (maybe toyfair?), which was one of several Beast Wars toys that saw different colours in the pre-production figures to what was eventually released in stores.
(this is an image I had on my computer since 1996, but there is another image out there from a product catalogue, naming the toy TigERtron, which could just be a spelling error from the magazine)

Amazon Listing for Terrorsaur (https://www.amazon.com/Transformers-TRA-GEN-Golden-TERRORSAUR/dp/B08TQSZQCX/)
It is like Jackpot, in that it will ship to a US address... so two can and two cant. Weird.
I have emailed Hasbro Australia to ask them to have the Amazon Australia listings put back up, now that they have been officially revealed.
So all four packs are being released on the same day - March 1st in America, which is nice to get a full set all at once, but means a big dollar hit all at once... but then again, if you are pre-ordering a lot of items that are spread out over several months, you still end up with several items dropping at the same time from different toy series which is still a big hit to the wallet anyway.
Terrorsaur is us$23, same price as Jackpot, who had the extra Battlemaster, which would be about us$5.
The interesting thing with Terrorsaur is that it is almost entirely a new mould... which is a rarity for a limited edition figure, as it would cost more per unit to make each unit from the new moulds.
Unless there is some internal mechanics that has been recycled, it looks to only be reusing the forearms and lower legs of Airazor, and having a similar transformation.
It is something that we've seen happen a few times since Combiner Wars, from designing these toys by computer to help swap over parts and replicate engineering.
This will be a great addition to the Beast Wars side of the Kingdom toyline, as it will just leave Tarantulas left to be done as a Kingdom toy of the original cast of 10 in the Beast Wars toyline... so hopefully we are getting one.
(and for the entire season one cast of 14, it just leaves Inferno and Tarantulas that are still unknowns)
Terrorsaur comes with a golden disk.... which I think could just be one of the two disks that come with The Ark toy.
CHAPTER 4: THE TERRORFYING CONCLUSION: Rather than perishing in a pool of lava, the lava protects Terrorsaur is infused with powerful lava energy that gives him the ability to breathe fire! He plots to travel back in time with his incredible new powers and take his rightful place as ruler of the Predecons!
COMPLETE YOUR GOLDEN DISK COLLECTION: Packaging features a part of a Golden Disk graphic. Collect this pack along with the other 3 Golden Disk Collection packs to complete the graphic! (Each sold separately. Subject to availability)
CLASSIC CONVERSION AND WEAPONS: Terrorsaur figure converts to pterodactyl mode in 22 steps. Includes Golden Disk (Voyager) and blaster accessories
I really like the sculpting beast head on Terrorsaur, but it is a shame that the main beast body is so modular, with a lot of flat edges and gaps.

The Terrorsaur product page on Amazon America has the complete story behind this set of four packs... and to me it is very confusing... almost like they probably didn't even need to worry about a story. It actually gave me flashbacks to some of the less popular FunPub BotCon stories developed for the 12+ assortment of convention toys each year.

Scorponok and all other Maximals and Predacons on Earth aren’t so lucky. Except one…Tigatron. When Terrorsaur discovers the Mutant Tigatron, he seizes the opportunity to form an alliance with the now ferocious warrior, setting a plan in motion to travel back in time and fulfill his true destiny. With his incredible new power and the terrifying Mutant Tigatron as his second-in-command, he can eliminate Megatron and take his rightful place as ruler of the Predacons!
Terrorsaur, using the Golden Disk, discovers Tarantulas had installed a Transwarp cell inside the Decepticon ship, the Nemesis…but where is the ship…?
Meanwhile, the Autobots Jackpot, Sights, Road Ranger and Puffer, who have been pulled to prehistoric Earth from various times and locations in space, learn of his plot and join forces to stop Terrorsaur. If they can locate the Nemesis ship first, they can prevent Terrorsaur from executing his plan and use the ship to travel back in time themselves, preventing the surge and putting everything right again.
Just as Terrorsaur and Tigatron finally locate the Nemesis, they're attacked from behind! It's the Autobots! Autobots? Tigatronimmediately begins to fight. Terrorsaur, though stunned to see members of a faction he thought long dead, quickly takes flight to counter their attacks.
In the chaos of battle, Terrorsaurdrops the Golden Disk. Tigatronraces over to retrieve it for his commander, but when he touches it something happens. The memories of the noble, nature-loving Tigatron come flooding back. He remembers everything. And he knows what he has to do.
He turns on Terrorsaur, helping the Autobots defeat the evil Predacon. When the battle is done, Tigatronexplains to the confused, yet grateful, Autobots who he is and what he thinks happened to him and what got them all here. The new allies realize that even if they go back in time, the quantum surge is still coming, it will still wipe out everyone. The only way they can save the future is by figuring out a way to suppress the blast.

I don't mind the reuse of the Kingdom Airazor mould because the original toys were similar as well. They weren't the same but if you swapped the tail/head around on one and simply re-positioned the arms/legs in beast mode you'd have almost the same transformation as the other.
I'm more annoyed by the execution. I'm not a fan of the beast mode. The robot mode is at least nice enough.
I'm sure I've seen a custom though where they took kingdom Airazor and reversed the direction of the beast mode like above.

Man, I'm okay with variant characters and obscure repaints/retools being store/Pulse exclusives. But an important main cast character like Terrorsaur really ought to be made available at general retail and not an exclusive with limited stock and sketchy international availability.
Ugh. First figure I've really felt strongly that I wanted that ended up like this. I've used freight forwarders before but the cost for most of them is frankly obscene for the service they provide and is probably worse now than the last time I used one a couple years back. Guess I'll just be hoping I can jump on a domestic Amazon listing or praying some other stores get hold of them and keep the price reasonable. What a pain.

It looks like Amazon Canada has released their Jackpot figures too early by accident, as it has started shipping out four months before it should have (still scheduled for March 1st on Amazon America).
Anyway, some photos are up already (https://news.tfw2005.com/2021/11/21/transformers-golden-disk-collection-jackpot-with-sights-in-hand-images-445235), showing some issues with the mis-matched yellows (like a recent Sunstreaker toy), and defective heads (if you look closely at the top of the head, the head halves are a little off-center).
JJJ
24th November 2021, 09:40 PM
Well, given the way they show Sunstreaker side-by-side with Jackpot (the toys appear to have almost the exact same shades of yellow, both plastic and paint), I'm not going to worry about the colour matching. I have Sunstreaker, and find the issue greatly over-blown by digital reproduction and display; the colours aren't that different to the human eye in normal lighting.
The head, though, is a bit of a worry...

That's 3 of the 4 sets released in or near December in at least 3 different regions of the world (US/CAN, UK and SG/HK)... despite all four packs being listed for March next year (three months time).
That's really weird, because when they were being revealed in the final four days of September (just 2 months ago), they would have already been manufactured and in some form of transit from Asia (factoring in the shipping logistics delays in countries like America of at least a few weeks), to be processed through the distributors and retailers in each of those countries.
I wonder if Hasbro has decided to just release them as soon as possible (instead of sit on them until March) to make up a shortfall in sales of other lines that are delayed in transit from the factories.
And I never got a reply back from Hasbro Australia about what happened to their release here... or if they are coming here at all anymore (as they were originally planned to be).

Jackpot arrived today.
The colour matching is, in person, pretty much what I expected. Yes, the two yellows (plastic and paint) are visibly different in ordinary light, but it's not hugely different or glaring (for those wondering, the difference is more pronounced than for Sunstreaker). Not even remotely a big deal to me.
The head... From the front, it is almost perfect. The two halves are ever-so-slightly mismatched, but I notice it only because I've seen the worse samples; did I not know that there was a flaw in the mould, I would find it simply to be within acceptable deviation for repeated castings.
The back of the head is baffling. As you've no doubt seen, the two halves are greatly mismatched (although, again, it isn't as bad on my copy as it is on pictures I've seen, and we're talking about something that you almost need to magnify to see). Not really sure how it has happened, given that the design is all done digitally, and so will be the mould cutting. It's almost as if, somewhere between finalisation of the CAD file and irrevocable cutting of the mould, someone accidentally fat-fingered a very slight scale change for the right half of the head... and yet it isn't that, because it is only the back of the head that has been scaled down. Well, that and there's some visible warping, as if the original sculpt (had it been made physically) melted a little. Bewildering.
Oh, and of course there's no cracking whatsoever on the translucent plastic (the colour of which is really making me want some Lucozade...).

Mine arrived today, one entire wing was loose (looks like the ties binding that wing to the cardboard insert were put on a bit too tightly and pulled it out of it's hinge) but it popped back on without any dramas. I really like him, particularly the head sculpts in both modes. I wish there was some silver on the thighs but over all I'm happy with him. But yes, he should absolutely have been a general retail figure.
