Does anyone remember the "Transformers Experience (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php/21931)" that was announced to be starting up in early 2016, by the Singapore company Cityneon / VictoryHill, for Las Vegas?
Well, this is it.... 6 years later. (which means covid had nothing to do with the delay)
It was originally announced in November 2015 for an opening in April in Las Vegas, and then pushed back to late 2016 because they wanted to do the Avengers Experience first (probably thought it was better to cash in on the franchise that was doing better at that time, and it was going to be another year and a bit until the next Transformers movie was due out anyway).
Then in December 2017 they finally did their first Transformers exhibit in China, which sounds like it was what they were planning to do in Las Vegas (there is a promo video of it on youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5t4r7wFvUE) for those wanting to know what the American one should look like).
So this one for 2022 is obviously for America, but I don't know yet when or where, but now that it has been officially announced, but I would imagine that there would be some promotional material released soon by CityNeon (https://cityneongroup.com/newsroom/). (if it is around for a year or so and still for Las Vegas, it would be an incentive to travel back to America again next year, and stop off at the Transformers Ride at Universal Studios again on the way)
The interesting thing is that their initial global license that they announced in 2015 for Transformers was apparently only for 8 years until June 2023, but with the long delay in getting it to America, I would imagine that they would have renewed/extended it, as it wouldn't give them much time left for this American run... and if they were still planning to ship it around the world for other countries.

Meanwhile, over on Hasbro's facebook page, we have the new official images for Legacy wave one (https://www.facebook.com/transformers/posts/6229688717101270), and official images for their two event exclusives - Galvatron & Unicron Companion Pack, and the Ravage 2-pack (https://www.facebook.com/transformers/posts/6229688153767993). Both were expected to be released here in Australia (Galvatron at Amazon, Ravage at EBGames), but neither of them are currently showing as available... so we might have to wait until Monday to see if we are still getting them here. I will ask if they are still coming here, and that the listings should be activated now.

Update from Hasbro Pulse (https://hasbropulse.com/collections/hasbro-pulsecon-2021?refinementList%5Bnamed_tags.Series%5D%5B0%5D= Transformers) - the release dates for wave 1 is a lot later than I was expecting.
In recent years the Generations series were January to December, but these ones have release dates of May (Voyager) and July (Deluxe & Leader).
I wonder if the series was pushed back 6 months due to the factories and transportation (ships) is significantly behind schedule because of covid. The two main lines (Studio Series and Generations) have had some delays around the middle of this year but was catching up a bit (wave 4 of Kingdom is still looking to be delayed, with two of the Deluxe toys pushed back).... but since we've seen Cyberverse and Rescue Bots toys significantly delayed, and wave 6 of BotBots never got released, maybe they are pushing back the start of Legacy to help them catch up again.
I would also imagine that there will be at least one more Voyager and Leader toy for wave 1, as it doesn't feel right to just have a single item for a launch of a new line. And we didn't see any of the Core Class as well... so the reveal today by Hasbro is really only some of wave 1, not all of it.

All those Legacy toys look just fine to me (in fact that Drag Strip looks a little better than I expected). I won't be buying Laser Prime (because I have two Primes already, and this isn't my Prime), and I might not be buying this Arcee (similar reasons), but they all look just fine to me.
I have been looking forward to Skids and Kickback for some time, and will grab them as soon as possible. Have been curious about Bulkhead since the leaks came through, and it turns out that he'll be going on the shelf too.
Amazing to see so many people losing their minds over this stuff. I really don't understand fans and fandom.
-edit- I have to stop looking at that Arcee; each time I look it becomes more tempting.
And that veining on Kickback's wings is awesome. I never expected that, it looks amazing. I cannot see Hasbro bettering this toy. Wow indeed.

The leak (https://www.tfw2005.com/boards/threads/leaked-2022-ss-and-evolution-wave-composition.1220748/) from a few weeks ago had Blaster being the other voyager, and only one leader. And the art shown over on TFW2005 for the reveal does feature Blaster - cartoon head, not toy. In fact all three core class toys from the first wave (according to that leak) are on the art as well - Hot Rod, Iguanus, and Skywarp. The only character on the art not listed as getting a toy in the first wave is Megatron.
The thing I'm curious about is the line name. The three-year toyline was called War For Cybertron, and each year had their own names, Siege, Earthrise, and Kingdom. The rumour was that this new multi-year toyline is called Legacy, with the first year called Evolution. But I've seen nothing recently about the name Evolution, and it isn't on those boxes.
I also see the return of "more than meets the eye" to the packaging, which has not been seen in recent years (unless I've just been completely oblivious to it :) ).

Supposedly Kingdom Galvatron is the leader case mate to OP, which isn't surprising as we've seen previous releases released over separate lines

Looks like Commander Motormaster is going to be basically the whole combiner, with the deluxe stunticons sitting pretty much just on top like the cartoon. If it means a more stable combined mode, I’m here for it. CW Menasor is the only combiner that really needs a replacement tbh, so I’d be fine if they just did him.

The more I think about the Legacy series boxes, the more I hate them. A box with all right angles is much better when stacking a shelf. Also, any wasted space in the shipping box is just that, wasted space. You are paying to transport air at that point.

I just looked at a bunch of Menasor screen-caps. Sometimes the cars are just placed on the arms and legs like decorations. Sometimes they are the whole arms and lower legs. Sometimes they are the upper arms and lower legs. It's probably just another symptom of G1 being animated by a bunch of different studios. Personally, after looking at them I like the upper arm and lower leg layout.

Any seller worth their salt is going to allow room for the toy to be protected in the event of the shipping box getting crushed, dented, etc in transit. So we pay for "wasted space" anyhow. I'm not too fussed about some corners missing.

Do you really want a kid to put their sticky hands all over your toy before you purchase it? As someone that works retail, I can tell you it's a real issue.

Makes it easier to recycle to as i am sick of removing the plastic windows (i deconstruct all packaging to make it easier to recycle and such forth)

I'm with Jaxius in that it's easier to recycle - and would have been done as part of cost reductions (single process to produce the box, rather than needing to add an assembly step from a second material).
There's plenty of Rescue Bots & Cyberverse figures that have been released without plastic windows and I haven't had an issue with sticky/grubby hands.
The only concern I would start having is if it led to parts being stolen (such as a gun or an attachment) or pieces falling off (the number of Spiderman Vulture figures I have seen in Kmart / BigW without a head because it popped off the ball joint is ridiculous)

Must say I'm a bit underwhelmed by all of this.
I hope we see some combined pics for the new Menasor before this hits retail because while I like the idea of a do over, I really quite dislike the 'exoskeleton with car shinpads/shoulderpads' look for the combiner.

Yeah, it is much easier to recycle, and I am on the side of the window is not necessary. But the number of times I've been handed toys or other things a child might play with and it has been sticky or covered in slobber is far from zero. I know there are people that the lack of a protective window is a turn off for that reason.

I am up for some Commander Class Motormaster with a Menasor shell trailer. Would be cool I think.
As for Bulkhead's missing box window plastic, I reckon it's probably because that is likely just a mock-box for Pulse con and not a regular retail box, they just haven't got the plastic to go there yet

I'm digging the Arcee figure. Only wish the shield halves were pointier to look like the blades she had in Prime.
I think I'm also coming around on a squared up Bulkhead.

I thought they had said the plan was to move to open window boxes to save on plastic? Wasn't the Cybertronian Bumblebee from the Buzzworthy line open windowed as well?

Who buys off shelves these days though? What with Hasbro's basic distribution (unfortunately making pre-ordering more and more a necessity), COVID disruption, and half the stuff you really want being exclusives of some sort, buying from a shop off the shelf is going the way of the dodo.

Recycling isn't an issue for us box keepers.... it's the missing parts i worry about. Heads do pop off etc etc....

It looks like the numbering of releases has dropped off too. Can't see it on the packaging images, not on the solicits. Maybe it's on the tech specs webpage? Or maybe it's gone?
It's been nice having those numbers over Studio Series and WFC, I'll miss 'em.

This is true, but I've noticed the figures seem to be secured down pretty hardcore these days. Kingdom especially had a lot of chained up figures and various plastic bits.

I thought they had said the plan was to move to open window boxes to save on plastic? Wasn't the Cybertronian Bumblebee from the Buzzworthy line open windowed as well?
Did they? Ah bummer.

I'd prefer that the collector-focussed toys have the protective window, to not only look more presentable for those who keep the toys sealed or keep the packaging, but also to prevent young kids from fiddling with everything they see on the shelves, or removing anything that doesn't take much force to remove (which is not just done by young kids). The toys that are not specifically targeting collectors (like Rescue bots and Cyberverse) can be in cheaper looking packaging, as it is more likely to be thrown away.

The numbers do make it easier for the Studio Series (especially when there are 50 different Bumblebees), but for Generations I've never really used them or found them necessary.
And it is REALLY annoying when they cancel something, and you have a number that doesn't get used and they never tell you what was meant to be released.

The Galvatron/Unicron pack that was released in some countries in the last two weeks, is still a Hasbro PulseCon exclusive in America, and is still listed for release in March in America (https://hasbropulse.com/products/transformers-generations-war-for-cybertron-leader-behold-galvatron-unicron-companion-pack), which is a bit strange, as Hasbro Pulse exclusives are usually released first there, not last.

In-hand images of Skids (https://news.tfw2005.com/2022/01/08/transformers-legacy-deluxe-skids-in-hand-images-447909), from one of the usual sources for leaked toys.

He's now got a review of Dragstrip.

My interest in this figure went straight to zero when I saw it split in half for combiner mode. It might be cartoon accurate, but 'Motormaster wears his friends as shoulder pads/gauntlets/shinpads' combiner design isn't worth paying ~$300 for a set to me.

On the other hand, I'll be doing exactly that (or rather, I expect to pay closer to something like $240 - $30-odd for 4 deluxes, and around $120 for the commander) to have a set of modern Stunticons from Hasbro, and I'll be happy about it, within 12 months of spending just shy of $350 for the same characters from Magic Square Toys (my perfect what I always wanted as a kid collection). :)

I guess they had to go one way or the other (toy vs toon) and toon won which is hardly surprising these days. As long as Menasor is overall better than the CW version I'll be happy.
Mostly keen on seeing the commander class Motormaster though.

Menasor as a whole and Mixmaster as an individual are the only Unite Warriors G1 combiner teams I'm not happy with. I can't wait to get a Menasor that doesn't look like Motormaster was designed as Optimus Prime first and foremost. That said I probably wouldn't replace Devastator just to get an alt mode for Mixmaster that doesn't suck.

I'm in. Stunticons are among my favourite combiners.
I'll also double dip for the G2 version, if & when they go down that path.

Oddly this is what I am quite looking forward to for some reason.
Also, one could argue that Motormaster and the Stunticons aren't friends. Their toys bio essentially lists them all as having some sort of mental problem an Motormaster uses that to keep them in place an feed his ego. Coz he's a bully. thats a joke BTW

I wonder if the others (or at least Dead End) will split in half and have the same connectors
If they do then you could mix and match pants.
