Early info is being found on wholesaler sites for the 7th Movie toys... specifically the gimmick toys for the younger fans (https://news.tfw2005.com/2021/12/27/transformers-rise-of-the-beasts-toy-line-listings-with-gimmicks-and-character-names-revealed-446833).
With the movie delayed a whole year to June 2023, it is strange that these are still being listed for release in April 2022. The toys would have already been in various stages of pre-production (moulds would have been built and tested by the time it was announced that the movie had been pushed back a year, and Hasbro would have already booked in production days at the factories, that they may not be able to cancel), so I wonder if we will still end up seeing some released in 2022 so that Hasbro doesn't have to sit on the stock for a year, costing them a lot of money storing them somewhere.

Another online store has Rise of the Beast toys listed for release on April this year (https://news.tfw2005.com/2022/02/06/transformers-rise-of-the-beasts-toy-line-wave-1-pre-order-at-gamefly-449770)... despite the move being pushed back a year to mid 2023.

If the new movie toys are indeed coming out in April, it definitely means that they were in full production before the decision was made to delay the release of the movie... and it would just cost too much to sit on the toys for a whole year.
We've seen it before, and unfortunately it hurts the toyline and Brand as a whole. The toys don't have the "advertising" of the movie, so they don't sell well enough for retailers to order more (if there are later waves), and a larger Brand like Transformers would then be weighed down by dead stock that retailers have to discount (lose money) just to get rid of them.

In 2020 we had Top Gun and Halo products to go with the Top Gun movie and Halo Infinite game that were meant to be released that year. Top Gun stuff just sat on the shelves, but the Halo toys and clothing moved. I'm not sure if Rise of the Beast will be another Halo and sell regardless or another Top Gun and shelf warm.

Having had Beast Wars Transformers toys on shelves for the last year, and the Transformers brand overall, will probably help the toys sell regardless of the movie delay - compared to say Top Gun which was/is a movie from the 80s with no momentum as a toyline.

If the shelves are full of gimmick movie toys though...

More evidence that the Mv7 toyline is coming out in April (and not held back for the release of the movie) is a listing found on Amazon America (https://www.amazon.com/dp/b09mjpgqz6) for a "Battle Master Rhinox" for release on or around April 15th (the release dates on Amazon pages are not always reliable or accurate).

The product number listed (F4600) seems about right for products scheduled for this year.

Some new Movie 7 items found somewhere online - Gimmick toys (https://news.tfw2005.com/2022/05/15/new-transformers-rise-of-the-beasts-toy-listings-found-titan-changer-converting-mask-assortment-456260)... Converting masks and Titan Changers. No images or specifics yet, but it shouldn't be anything too exciting.

Some new toy info for the new movie toyline...

Product codes and names of some of the gimmick toys (source not noted (https://news.tfw2005.com/2022/06/04/small-update-to-transformers-rise-of-the-beasts-toyline-listings-457776)).

Battle Charger Rhinox (F4606)
Battle Charger Mirage (F4609)
Battle Changer Scourge (F4610)

2-In-1 Optimus Prime Blaster (F3901)

And this item started circulating online (https://news.tfw2005.com/2022/06/05/possible-first-look-at-rise-of-the-beasts-transforming-optimus-primal-role-play-mask-457822) from an unknown source, and it looks way too technical to be fan-made.
It is a role-play mask of Optimus Primal (gorilla), but unlike all previous role-play masks/helmets, this one also transforms into a playable toy robot.
It is definitely something new, as I don't think I have seen anything like it for Transformers before... at least, from Hasbro or TakaraTomy.

And the instructions for the Optimus mask have been posted up as well (https://news.tfw2005.com/2022/06/09/transformers-rise-of-the-beasts-2-in-1-optimus-primal-roleplay-mask-instructions-revealed-458275).

A number of Transformers Movie clothing items were added to the BigW site last week, probably to coincide with the toy sale (or just because they would have been out for the original release date of the Movie)... but after the images were shared around the fansites, the product pages of most of them have been removed. Anything that had images of Bumblebee have been removed, so I guess that image has not yet been officially revealed by Hasbro and Hasbro America have told the local branch to get them taken down.
The items that have Optimus on it seem to be okay, as we have already had the robot mode of that Movie character revealed through that toy being released in Cyberverse packaging later this year.

The images can still be seen here on tfw (https://news.tfw2005.com/2022/06/08/transformers-rise-of-the-beasts-new-look-at-bumblebee-optimus-prime-logos-458211), but the links to most of the items are currently not working.
The interesting thing is if BigW were also told to remove the stock from the stores too, so I'll be having a look around to see if the items are still out for sale.
A better image of the Bumblebee robot mode can be seen here from a Russian site (https://news.tfw2005.com/2022/06/09/transformers-rise-of-the-beasts-bumblebee-robot-mode-officially-unveiled-458280)... which shows us a similar robot mode to the 2007 movie old Camaro Bumblebee, with a different robot chest, which to me looks a bit too weird, as Bumblebee is rocking some serious cleavage... :p

If you search for TRA MV7 on Amazon.com.au you’ll find a lot of code name listings out of stock but that you can order

There’s a $63 Cyclops that might be a Voyager SS86 Ratchet since the Core SS86 Ratchet is also listed under the name TF7 Cyclops, but there also two other prices for different Cyclops?!

Has there been any code names worked out? (Alpha, Journey, Orion, George, Barcelona, Warrior)

And over on one of the Amazon Australia "Transformers" pages, comes two new listings for two Core Class Studio Series toys to be released with the Studio Series DLX Bumblebee and VOY Battletrap.
https://www.amazon.com.au/stores/page/6094121F-EFFA-46E8-94DF-6636E195FAE7?ingress=2&visitId=80611b7b-a89c-41b1-ada0-b9470e9e4718&ref_=ast_bln

The links to their actual product pages don't work yet, so this is a bit of a glitch to show up on an index page... and I imagine that these two toys were going to be officially revealed soon.
The Arcee mould looks familiar, but I can't figure it out, so maybe it is just made to look like the Energon Arcee mould.
The other one is called Terrorcon Freezer, but I wonder if it is another codename.

Not gonna lie, I quite was shocked by it at first, but it's quickly grown on me. There's some Beast Machines influence by the look of it - BM is not everyone's cup of tea I know, but it's good to see them not give us another samey BW S1 Cheetor that we always get. The weapon is nice too, not just another "here's the beast tail as a whip" that they could've easily fallen back on.

Now I'm not too sure what that leaked toy above is for, as it clearly has a Beast Wars Cheetor head, while the ROTB movie Cheetor has a completely different head, like the newly released Studio Series toy. Surely it isn't another Generations Cheetor toy, as we just had one released with Kingdom two years ago.

The Amazon Australia listing was originally called Butch, but has now been edited after the official reveal, to SS-98 Voyager Cheetor, with the same early release date of February 17th, with the other five SS ROTB toys.

Speaking of Movie toys, someone on TFW posted up photos of some shelf-tags of some Movie toys that aren't part of Studio Series.
(just be aware that we have sometimes seen a Kmart store in the past, put up shelf tags some months too early, just because someone had printed up ones that were already in the system ready for when stock eventually arrives)

I really really like the look of that Scourge, and given that it has play integration with Core Class Freezer I'm likely to grab both.

I'm hitting a point where I really feel like I have too many TFs and too many versions of the same character type.

These beast toys are not enticing me enough - Core or Studio Series - to invest in. The Terrorcons are an interesting type so might look into those. The Autobots will need to be a bit of a pick and choose.

I'm so tempted to pre-order Scourge (& Freezer) on amazon, but the release date (Scourge) is 10 April. WTH? Reckon I'll probably see it in KMart before then.

I don't like the yellow tow truck being smaller than BB.

Scourge looks menacing. Looks cool

The "Buzzworthy" Scorponok toy is a TRU exclusive in Japan

About a week and a half ago it was announced that Hasbro would be releasing several Rise of the Beasts figures under the Target exclusive Buzzworthy Bumblebee line. One of these figures was Scorponok, partnered with a small scorpion Battle Master style figure named Sandspear. In Japan however, this figure will be a Toys 'R' Us exclusive. Thanks to its official listing, we have official information and new images (including modes not shown by Hasbro!).

I'm looking at the toy and I see Generations Select Pincher just waiting to be made...

Eh, it's so hard to predict how retail will go. I order most things online by default now.
Worst thing that happens is I see it at retail sooner and then cancel online, but at least it's secured regardless.

Big W has updated their Transformers homepage this afternoon to reflect their exclusive ROTB offerings, removing the retro 1986 movie G1 theme, and adding another Ellie Awesome video.

Here is the link to the full promotional video for Big W's exclusive Rise of the Beasts toys:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxUe_pD1yqY

This video was shot on the same day as the one they made for the TFTM coloured reissue Hound and Thundercracker, so I was also there during the shoot.
Those are my Rise of the Beasts toys in the background. At the time of the shoot, ROTB toys hadn't hit most stores yet, not even JB Hi-Fi. I literally bought these toys just a few days prior to the shoot from The Gamesmen in Penshurst NSW, which at the time was the only place in Sydney that had ROTB toys. Hasbro didn't even have any at the time; they obviously had the toys that were being promoted, plus some Kingdom toys which I also placed on the shelves alongside my ROTB figures.

The poster in the background was double-sided; one side showing Optimus Primal, Cheetor and Airazor, and the reverse showing Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Arcee. FWIW I initially had them display the poster with the Maximal side showing, but it was ultimately decided to show the Autobots instead. I tried. :)

Yeah, Nightbird and Cheetor are both the same as the individual packaged ones. I don't know if I'd call them repackaged toys, because these toys were all developed simultaneously (it's just the release dates that are being staggered). Consider how, outside of Australia, you could get the G1 Aerialbots either individually or in a box set. The box set isn't a repackage of the individually packed Aerialbots, nor are the individual packed Aerialbots repackages of the box set; they were just released that way to give consumers the option to get them individually or in a set (just not here; we Aussies could only ever collect them separately!).

So these three toys are/will be available either individually or in a box set, and the box set in Australia is a Big W pre-order exclusive (for now). In other words, we have options. ;)

I posed the toys that are shown in the promotion, and Nightbird definitely gave me the most grief. :p

When you say “Nightbird definitely gave me the most grief”, what do you mean exactly? Is the toy top-heavy and falls over, or just that it was hard to get a dynamic action pose?
