GEN Selects DK-2 Guard (black Ironhide)

The next GEN Selects toy for 2022 is a black/red redeco of the Deluxe Kingdom Ironhide toy, to homage another pre-Transformers toy from Diaclone.
It has the name DK-2 Guard (https://www.facebook.com/transformers/posts/6814994418570694).... which seems a little uninspiring or unimaginative. (the DK-2 refers to its Diaclone packaging, but as a Transformers name it sounds as bad as JP93 from last year)
In America it should be out around April for us$25 (https://news.tfw2005.com/2022/01/25/transformers-generations-selects-dk-2-guard-black-ironhide-officially-revealed-pre-orders-live-448994). (I would expect it to be listed at EBGames soon)


This awesome DK-2 Guard figure is based on the Diaclone Onebox Cherry Vanette toy, which was originally planned to have black deco. The black deco was changed to red for release as Ironhide in 1984. Now, the DK-2 Guard figure is finally joining the Autobots in the originally-planned deco scheme. This figure converts from robot to van mode in 22 steps. Figure comes with blaster and shield accessories.

One of Hasbro's photos just called him Guard yesterday I think.

If you say the name quick as a word "Decay-to-Guard" (like how people refer to that famous protocol droid as threepio in novels etc) it sounds alright although not like a TF name - but given this is another Diaclone refugee maybe that's part of the point?

Been trying to order the Earthrise Ironhide sticker set from Toyhax to use on Legacy Black Ironhide, but Toyhax isn't delivering to Australia at the moment.

Just picked up Guard DK-2 from EBGames today, just after it had arrived, so they are shipping out to stores right now.

I just saw on the product page that the release date was pushed back a week to April 8th, so it was lucky I didn't know that before today, as I only called in because I thought it was still being released tomorrow, and wanted to see if they already had it today.

No difference to the EB site, but I've now received my text message to come and collect, which I'll be doing this afternoon after work. I expect Mildura to be near-to-last in the supply chain, so those of you in the capitals should be being notified too.
