Hey guys.. sorry to break this off from the general 'gamer tag' thread, but hopefully if a few of you have picked this up or intend to, we can have a little mini community on the boards here.

My AC Wii friend code is: 2750-4843-3482 and since i just started tonight, i'm in dire need of some fruit that isn't Apples :)

For those of you that don't know, you have to go and see Copper at the town gate before you'll have a friend code to trade.

This is the re-hash of the Gamecube version with a small city tacked on it right?

Picked up my copy yesterday.

Contemplated bringing over my Wild World character but decided in the end to start a new.

Caught myself two string fishes on my first day, donated one and keeping one for upcoming fishing tournaments. It seems a lot easier to catch fish in this one compared to Wild World.

I agree with the ease of fish catching! On my first night i've got at least 7 distinct types!

Just thought you guys should know, if you were planning on transferring your DS game data over, don't bother. Nintendo actually released the US version of AC: Wild World in AU wrapping ... and now the AU version of AC: Let's go to the city can't import from the "US" game that was released in Australia! Hopefully this teaches them a lesson about region locking!

Ugh Nintendo Australia ... and I was planning on using my DS character and his catalog to buy some items for my Wii character.

It will probably get patched when they realize it. Is the DS transfer feature in the manual? Or where they hoping people wouldn't notice?

On the subject of AC. I will most likely pick this up. Maybe with the Wiispeak Mic. Friend code pending.

The Gamecube version is still the best one due to the loads of complete NES games unlockable in game which most can be transferred over tot he GBA for on the go play. The DS version was great and it appears that the Wii version is exactly the same content wise with just new neighbours and the whole City area. I read that it has no new furniture at all. just all from the DS version.

The DS stuff is definitely in the manual.. i expect a patch if possible or possibly a phone-in recall.

I read it has 25% new items, though i'm not sure of the breakdown between clothes/furniture/fish/bugs/people etc. This is more than just Wild World on Wii (though not much more)... it's got elements from the GCN version (people missing from DS version, a larger town, raised/lowered terrain)... as well as most of the enhancements from the DS version i think. It's hard to keep track of them in a game like this though!

I wish to enquire as to whom the hot blonde chick who plays this game on the TV ad is? Do any of you have her contact details? I assume you all know her because you play the game...

Or, is it simply part of the advertisement by Nintendo to try and convince us that someone that hot would actually play this game?

Massive props to whoever PMs me with her number and address

im a huge fan of the series but is it worth getting if i have the gamecube version and wild world?

is there that many new features that give me reason to buy it?

I stopped playing Wild World after about a year, the game came out 2005, so it's been roughly two years since I've played an Animal Crossing game. It's been quite a while so I don't mind going through it all again. But to be frank it is just more of the same, to me it's like a Wild World 1.5 then a fully fledged new game.

Anyway I've been failing at making snowmen these past few days.

Not good enough it seems.

I did however win the recent fishing tournament. I just kept a string fish I caught and used that.

My mum recently bought herself a copy as she loves the series.
She let me borrow it and now I'm hooked, I hope to be able to get my own copy soon

Sorry to resurrect such an old thread...

My 6 year old is playing Animal Crossing Wii (Let's go to the City) regularly now and wants to visit some other towns, mainly to get some other fruits.

Is anyone on OTCA still playing this game and willing to exchange friend codes ?

Thanks in advance :D
