Last year Hasbro produced a Gen1 Monopoly set (their first one, as all previous sets were licensed out to other companies), and this year they have released a Beast Wars Monopoly set... which showed up on a couple of online sources in Australia this month.
It is slightly different to the Gen1 set with its game-play, as it uses Energon crystals and cubes instead of money... and also incorporates transformation into the game, along with Stasis Pods (not sure how they are used in the game).
The Australian sources have had the Beast Wars set priced at about au$90, which is considerably more than the Gen1 set (usually at au$20-30 online and in stores)... so maybe this set is a limited edition and needs to make back its money faster.
The price in North America is about the same, converting to about au$90 at the moment.

Note that there are 14 game pieces - 7 pairs... which is 7 characters (Optimus, Megatron, Cheetor, Waspinator, Rattrap, Blackarachnia, Dinobot) in both modes, because of the modified game dealing with transforming your game piece during the game.
