Velocitron RID-2000 Scourge pre-order at EBGames

Velocitron Leader RID-2000 Scourge is now on EBGames for pre-order (https://www.ebgames.com.au/product/toys-and-collectibles/250412-transformers-legacy-velocitron-speedia-500-collection-leader-robots-in-disguise-2000-universe-scourge-action-figure'').

As I had suspected with our earlier reporting (with the Velocitron toyline following the same format as the Netflix toyline), the Leader class has gone to EBGames instead of Kmart (after the first Netflix Leader, Kmart didn't appear to want them anymore, so Hasbro Australia was good enough to find a new home for them here).


The Velocitron Scourge is listed for a ridiculously cheap au$60 at EBGames, which could be a mistake... but just in case it isn't, best lock in a pre-order quickly before they sell out.

The Netflix Leaders that ended up at EBGames, also showed up on Amazon Australia, so this one might be there eventually too.

I got Legacy Prime and wasn't going to double dip for Scourge, but for that price and an easy $10 pre-order why not haha.

Yeah, I thought it too good to be true�. So paid in full, rather than a deposit, to seal the deal. It�s showing up as $60 and paid for me in my preorders.

Saw it on my open preorders page too. But it just shows RRP $110, didn't say I have to pay $110 in total. And from my orders page. The invoice still says $60 in total.

I preordered at $60 with a $10 deposit, went in to pay it off today and was told “you have $100 left”
Lucky I had a screen grab of receipt and staff said they’d honour that price but we shall see

Mine was also adjusted to owing $100.

$110 is still a fair price for Leader Class, which currently has a RRP of $105 in Australia for the regular retail line... and this is a limited edition exclusive.
It would have been great to get it for $60, but we clearly knew that it was an error, as that would be EB's current Voyager pricing (the most recent figures were $58-59, so an extra dollar a few months later would not be that surprising)... so people shouldn't get too upset about it if they are asked to pay the proper amount, and if that is too much, then just cancel the pre-order, as there is no financial penalty if you do.

I got a call today that they would honour the price it was advertised at, which I think by law they have to anyway.
I would have been happy to pay $110 if that was its original advertised price, but given a choice between that or $60, I know which I'd take. :)

Take advantage of the print function in the order summary if it helps, especially if you paid $60 up front and it says $0 remaining.

Worst-case scenario if they don't honour it, you can ask EB Games to pricematch at Kmart, or get it from Kmart, $79 is pretty good for a Leader.

My orders page on the EBGames website still says $60, with $50 left remaining.
I paid the remaining $50, and will see if the system will release the toy when it comes in, or if it asks for another $50.

That is really surprising. With Scourge at EBGames, it shouldn't be at Kmart. (and after they stopped stocking the Leader class, it is strange that they would pick it up again now)

I only noticed that they moved the date today. So went to Kmart and bought Scourge. If they still honour the price then I might end up with a cheaper one in November

I also ended up cancelling my order and getting it from Kmart (which is cheaper than a standard Leader anyway). Just noticed that most of the Kmarts around me have it as "low stock", so I would rather pay a bit extra and get it now rather than waiting.

Yeah I thought he was going to end up being over $100, and I had already bought Lazer Prime. Wasn't sure if I was going to get Scourge but $79 and I kept seeing him at Kmart not being sold out.

Anecdotally, I forgot to collect my EB order and was reminded today when I collected Victory Saber today. They wouldn't honour the $60 or even match the original Kmart price, so I returned it and went to Kmart afterwards

Oh well
