To be released on 25/2/23 in Japan for 19,800 Yen. They are non-functioning replicas at 80% the size of the real EOS R5.

Optimus Prime (https://takaratomymall.jp/shop/g/g4904810180906/) variant.
Reflector (https://takaratomymall.jp/shop/g/g4904810187677/) variant. He has the best accessory - a little Reflector camera!

It’s an interesting concept. I’m tempted to pick one up just for the novelty value… it reminds me of the G-Shock Optimus Watch, which really shot up in value. But I just don’t like the look of the robot mode, with a big fat belly lens.

Added official images into first post.

The special product page on the TakaraTomy site for Optimus only (https://tf.takaratomy.co.jp/canon-tf/).

I get the feeling that this was designed for Reflector for the more dedicated Fans (as it makes more sense), but then slightly modified to also be released as Optimus for everyone else to pay for the mould (as Optimus is the more recognisable character, who can sell just about any toy).

If they were more like $60 than $200 I'd get Reflector.

Prefer it if perceptor had a purple ring than red like OP.

TakaraTomy have sent out a sample of the Optimus camera for someone to review on youtube (below), and if the video disappears, some screen-shots can be seen here (https://news.tfw2005.com/2022/08/26/canon-x-transformers-optimus-prime-r5-in-hand-images-464340).

The two JP Canon Transformers - Optimus (https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0B8Y8Z4WJ/) and Reflector (https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0B8Z7BZ58/) - are now on Amazon Australia for pre-order, for au$277 on April 8th 2023.

I would expect them to be listed at other speciality places like EB/Zing.
