Ironhide Classics Universe

Hey guys, just putting off purchasing ironhide because I really dislike the blue face, but have read over on tfw2005 that hasbro is re-releasing with silver and black highlights?

Is this true and if so how would one be able to tell from sealed packaging?

If this is in wrong section by all means move it mods :)

Yuppers, you're right, Whipped. :p Hasbro has announced the running change for the next wave 3 revision of Universe which is to have an assortment of 2 Ironhides.

So you'll be able to recognise it I guess only by the fact that there is one Acid Storm and one Galvatron. Maybe not be in a rush to return the Ironhide yet and hold onto it until you find the right one and exchange it then.

Also in hindsight I suspect that what I saw at TRUs Chaddy and Highpoint over the weekend was not a re-release of wave 1 of Classics 2.0 but a revision of the Classics 2.0 wave 2.

And Universe Galvatron is very much inferior to his Henkei counterpart. I played with lcz128's and its very awesome. I can't recommend him enough.Jaydisc though did mention he preferred the darker grays on the Universe version so there is some merit. From that vantage point there is some merit.

If I'm you I would just go for Henkei. Although I always have "funny feelings" whenever I see a toy at retail, *right there in front of me in the flesh*. :o

I was originally planning to get the later Hasbro Ironhide for the grey face, but then decided that since I was getting the Henkei one which has the grey face, the blue faced Hasbro one is better for the differenciation between them. So I now have the blue faced one, and waiting on the grey faced Henkei one to come in.
