Transformers Rise of the Beasts Movie toys now making their way to Australian Retailer shelves.
The embargo date (April 10th) has now passed, and Retailers are now officially allowed to sell the new Movie toys that are in Movie packaging (not the Studio Series toys that were released in February).
A number of people around the country were seeing the ROTB toys at Kmart stores last Thursday, but were unable to buy them, so it looks like their main distribution warehouse was sending the stock out to stores just before the Easter long weekend in time for their release after Easter, but some of those stores were putting that stock out without knowing that they couldn't be purchased for another 4 days.
Aside from the sightings at various Kmart stores, we have also seen BigW and Myer list a number of ROTB toys on their websites... including a couple of store exclusives at BigW (Beast Mode Optimus Prime and the Buzzworthy 3-pack that has Wheeljack/Cheetor/Nightbird).
Unfortunately, BigW seems to be getting into the habit of having their exclusives be "Delivery Only", because just like the recent 1986 Movie Anime redecos, these two won't allow you to collect from a store... you have to have them shipped, and if your purchase is less than $100, you will have to pay shipping as an extra expense.
NOTE!!! - BigW have included official images from wave 2... but don't expect to find them for sale just yet, as wave 2 isn't meant to be released for another month or two. (retailers are sent official images in advance, and sometimes post up the wrong ones on their product pages)
It is unknown at this time where Beast Mode Bumblebee is, or if BigW will be getting both Buzzworthy 3-packs.
Just be aware that there is a lot of ROTB movie product to be released this year by Hasbro, and that's just what we know so far.
So far we have 4 different sub-lines:
- ROTB (green outer packaging) (non-gimmick toys and assorted gimmick toys that aren't "Beast Alliance" toys)
- ROTB Beast Alliance (green outer packaging) (mostly the combiner/interaction gimmick toys)
- ROTB Autobot Alliance (orange outer packaging) (mostly re-released older Movie toys) (could be a store exclusive - unknown if coming to Australia)
- Buzzworthy Bumblebee ROTB (yellow packaging - Target exclusive in America) (some exclusive, some re-released ROTB toys)
PLUS - we also have Studio Series packaging for completely different toys/moulds.
AND - anything unique from TakaraTomy, which shouldn't be much, if any.
To break that down further...

- Voyager
- Flex Changer
- Smash Changer
- Convertible Face Masks
- Non-convertible Face Masks
- Beast Mode (Bumblebee & Optimus Prime) (Electronic - aqua packaging instead of green)
