Legends 2-pack with Scorpy? I think it was found at Kmart stores, and probably others that have the new 2-packs. The Jazz and Megatrons only had colour differences. Nothing different with the moulds.

And Premiums, I don't think any of them have been released here yet.

robotkingdom has some Premium bulk buys (Ironhide/BLackout and BB/Barricade/Jazz) that work out to be a good deal. Hasbro AU has only admitted to planning on having the Leaders and the Metallic Finish Voyagers (Ratchet & Megs) in AU, I believe both in September.

K-Mart in the same place had a Bumblebee vs Barricade 2-pack, as well as a 3-pack of Arcee, Starscream, and OP. There were also a bunch of key chains (Barricade and Megatron were the ones I saw), as well as the AllSpark Power Scouts (not with Storm Surge, though).

I think Hasbro's QC is getting worse. Case in point: Overcast. One had a funny-looking insignia on one wing. At first, I thought "Oh, it's a reference to his corrosive powers, and he's corroded himself!", and applauded such attention to detail. Then I had a closer look, and saw that it was actually a second insignia stamped over the first.

By all accounts, someone should have noticed that and had the mistake fixed up.

A paint app error would probably be worth something. Not a lot, but would be like having an Optimus Prime with Decepticon symbols painted on it by mistake. Actually, THAT would be worth a fair bit. Classics Bumblebee has a unique paint job, and as Stompy said, it looks like the movie version is the Premium version, and the Animated looks standard.

I'd give it some time first if you can. Hasbro AU said that Metallics Megs and Ratchet can be expected in September in Big W & Specialty Stores (Toy World/Kingdom). I'm in QLD now and spotted a bucketload of them in the Toy World in Chermside, priced at $45. I think us Melbournians got lucky with the price because Toy Kingdom was acquired and many of the shops closed down. Be patient if you can. If not, maybe ask Grif. Isn't he coming to see you guys soon? You might be able to save on postage if he has the space.

Anyway, today I was in Parra so I popped into DJ's. Of course all they had were Movie figures (hence this thread :)) but I noticed an employee putting more Movie figures on the shelves... :rolleyes:

So anyway, I took the opportunity to ask him (if he happened to know) Why, compared to all the other major retailers who've had Animated/Universe figures for months now, DJ's still don't have any of those new lines yet?

He tells me there are a bunch of boxes (including a tonne marked Hasbro) in the storeroom & he goes to ask his boss (an old bag of a woman). He then comes back to tell me DJs have already begun their Christmas Period (Yes, 3 months beforehand... :rolleyes:) and that during this period, the toy section doubles in size - which means that's when they'll put a heap more products on the shelves...





Not that I'll actually purchase TFs from DJ's anyway... :)

Until i realized that all the movie ratchets i have turned out to have more of a dark fluorescent yellow colour next to a sunny window .

I only came to that realization after seeing the Movie Ratchet that was on display at Kmart Blacktown earlier this year , had more of a yellow colour under there UV lighting. :)

Probably not gonna ignite much of you at all but one Target I went to had Battle Rig Blaster Optimus Prime with FAB Optimus as a bonus for $14.87. It had the tag but I scanned it just in case and it is under $15.

Went to a few other Targets to see where else with little luck. Try your local ones if you are interested. It's a pretty fun toy and a bargain for the price ;)

Target Blacktown is overstocked with Movie crap, especially the Movie Screens and Bumblebee 2 packs. Kmart at Mt Druitt also mostly has the the Movie Screen packs too.

Been seeing those metallic Ratchets and Megatrons at every Toyworld in Brisbane I've checked out in the last few days (four of them). All for $45 I think, compared to Sams Warehouse charging $20.

As mentioned in the AUS news posting, the two Toyworlds I checked out today had heaps of Movie toys from just about every size and assortment. First series figures like Deluxe Brawl and Wreckage, to last series Salvage and Incinerator. Other notable figures seen were Thundercracker, Evac, Payload, Dropkick, Camshaft, Stockade, recol Ironhide, recol Voyager Optimus, Ice Megatron, Recon Barricade, Bonecrusher and FAB Starscream.
Plus there were many of the Real Gear and Basics, plus the four Allspark Deluxes in the cylindar packaging.
Prices are still pretty standard for Toyworlds (Deluxes about $27, Voyagers about $45). There were more movie toys in each of the two Toyworlds I was at, than I saw at any store during the second half of last year, between the movie and Christmas. If they had this sort of release 12 months ago (that's how old these toys are!), Transformers would have been the undisputible number one toyline in 2007.

I haven't mentioned which Toyworld stores I was at today, because of the single Incinerator found at one of them. If you want it, PM me for its location.

I haven't seen any new Camaro's either, but I'm not sure if it's shipped in any of the current waves. Seems GM haven't capitalized too much in sales of the TF models.

Problem with the first movie was that the real GM vehicle forms used were all way out of the price range of the average geek fan who would have been interested in buying a 'real Transformer'. It was good publicity for their products, especially their high-end items, but people would have only bought them because they looked nice as a vehicle, not because it was an Autobot.
I guess that range of expensive GM vehicles could have been becasue the limited number of Autobots meant limited options on GM vehicles. But they could have had at least one using a 'cheap middle class' vehicle form.
I think the second movie is looking to change that though, with a larger cast, and some sneak peaks at a couple of vehicles that fans like us could afford if we wanted 'an Autobot in our garage'. :p

I do not know if I concur, the new Camaro is only around US $23,000 for the base model. Definitely within the price range of the average middle class consumer. I have already got all my doosh saved should the Camaro come to Aus (please God please). I guesstimate it will be around $55K Aus.

The word from the officially licensed Camaro models distributor at the Toyfair last year, was that the Camaro was supposed to be released here either late 2008 early 2009. They were even releasing some of their toy cars in BBee's colours to cash in on the TFs movie, but the primary purpose was to coincide with, and cash in on, the actual release of the car here. Hasn't happened though, and with cut backs in car sales, may not now.
