I wanna preface this as not the usual sale thread. I have some Lego here that I want to offload b/c I'm trying to raise funds for some children's gifts this year. Yes, I've left it a bit late but w/ my funds a bit dry I haven't been able to buy as much as I usually do in other years and that leaves me a bit guilty b/c I'm very much well aware of my own excesses which have led me being unable to give as much as I normally do.

This is Lego that I've bought for my little sister and myself but we've either lost interested in these sets or were really disappointed. As such I'm hoping to use it as a source of funds for Christmas gifts to homeless children or children living in shelters as has become an annual thing for me. I would have donated these gifts but most have been opened which is a downer.

I'm also very proud of my little sister. She's 6 and likes to accumulate Lego yet once I explained to her why I'm selling these Legos she w/out hestitation helped me break the pieces up and didn't sook one bit. I remember when I was young, I lacked that capacity and cried once when my footy cards were given away. Very proud of her.

Anyhow there's two ways I'm happy to sell these:
a.) You pay for the item + postage, or
b.) You give me a gift in exchange for the Lego. So for example, if you want the Patrol Boat below, I'd happily take one of those electronic pets toys or a Bratz doll. I don't mind what the gift is as long as its for a child in the age bracket of 4 to 12. I have a few boy presents lined up already (which wasn't too hard since I hunt for TFs so often :D) so would really really prefer a few girl ones if that's possible. I have no problem if the gift you want to exchange for the Lego is of slightly less value.

If you're interstate and want to exchange one of these Legos for a gift, I'd happily put you in contact with one of the local community centres there. No, I'm not well versed in each state's community centres but I'm sure I can arrange it quickly enough and all you'd have to do is take it to the centre. Postage is free if the gift's value exceeds the sale price below.

Anyways the Legos for sale (and I've priced cheaply):

Mars Mission 7645 MT-61 Crystal Reaper: $30

The last thing I should add is that I need the money before Christmas so I would really need payment by next Tuesday latest to get everything in order in time to get the presents out. I'm really sorry about the short time frame but I've procastinated and so am in a bit of rush. So yeah, the sale will only go to next week. After that I'll hold onto what's not sold.

good on you man i really hope someone buys these or you could simply donate them as gifts, from my knowledge kids and parents are very appreciative , most of them ain't types of people who would readily accept handout during any time of the year and ain't the bogan types (parents who DGAF about their kids who want to get free stuff), but the best bet is to donate them through a registered charity, i am not familar with programs like "kmart wishing tree" , but i don't trust they would be able to distribute gifts accordingly

Even though I have the Crystal Reaper, I'm tempted to get another one for my nephew who's always playing with mine. But I've already bought him a shitload of Ben 10 and Bakugan stuff already so I'm a bit hesitant. I'll check out what girls toys there are at the shops before I make up my mind (and I hope the missus doesn't catch me on this, since she'd be mighty peeved that I'm buying girls toy which are NOT for my daughter!!!)

I'd love the Clone Tank and the Mar Mission sets, but I don't know if I'd have the money....I still have to get presents for others....
