2025 Haslab - Liokaiser

I expect we'll see it listed on EB's site next week. The real question will be about the price - $300 USD is $478 AUD today. Here's hoping that the furor about Omega Prime got through to someone that both cares and matters...


I like what I'm seeing. Apart from the thighs and crotch, the combiner parts appear to be integrated into the individuals. This does make them rather chunky, but it works for me. Deathcobra is a nice touch (although the alt mode is a bit off...).

I reckon this will easily get far more than the 18000 orders required for all three tiers.

18000 is a lot, admittedly, but Leokaiser is the holy grail for many people. Wed never be able to afford the original, if you could find one minty fresh. This replicates the animal breast master feature that makes them so charming individually. Then the ability to display it in combined mode……… I want one so bad

really hope the pricing on this is more in line with Saber and Deathsaurus than Omega Prime because it's something I'd really like to pick up but i don't think I'd wanna pay that kind of money

I'd like to think so, yes. Can't imagine why else EB would choose to not make money on it. I don't know if Hasbro will have offered a reduced price as a partner, or some other beneficial arrangement, but EB won't have just volunteered this...

I’m just glad it’s available, and that you don’t pay the full price upfront like you would with haslsb. Zing deserves a little profit for the service

$550 appears steep, but once you take off the tax (which doesn't get applied to stated price in the US), the prices are about $15 USD difference. A 5% markup to accommodate EB's efforts and the benefit of a lower deposit is alright in my book.

I haven't had a chance to look into set yet. Do we know how large the individual bots are? Deluxe? Voyager? Dare I hope old school Ultra?

The boilerplate listings say 5.5 inches, which has got a few people worked up, but the Hasbro staff have said that they are taller (they proclaimed them voyagers, as if that helps with the height these days :) ). And if you look at the size of the (non-partsforming) limbs and compare them to the Aerialbots (which we know are average-height deluxes that come apart in the middle to fit on the Superion frame), you can work out that they are indeed larger. So I would hazard a guess of average, perhaps even slightly above-average, height for a 2025 voyager-price-point toy.

Over 3000 preorders in the first few hours at Hasbro’s China Taobao store, makes me think that China is a HUGE underdeveloped market. Also that a ‘small deposit only’ model makes a lot of sense (Taobao, Zing/EBGames) for crowdfunding models. If Hasbro Pulse offered a financing or installment plan (outsourced) they could likely sell a substantial number more and are leaving money on the table.
