An amazing figure which has exceeded my expectations and feels like a "Mini Masterpiece" and feels like the character stepped out of the movie and became real (with a mainstream Voyager budget). The only one part of the toy's design that doesn't look like the movie model are the wings. But the fact is that Sentinel Prime never transformed in the movie. We only ever see him deploy thrusters from his feet, which he can use to fly like Astro Boy with his wings spread out, but he never fully transforms into anything. Sentinel Prime's movie model has these bird-like metallic wings, but of course, they never transform. So for a toy that has given us an interpretation of what Sentinel Prime's alt mode might like look and make use of his wings, I think it's easily forgivable.
I really like the way that the completely concealed battle mask can deploy from inside the chest and still allow the figure to move with head articulation. I haven't seen a toy do this since Leader Class Cybertron Optimus Prime which was 20 years ago now! The way that the forearms slide out to form the arm cannons is a simple yet elegant way to emulate its transformation and look on screen. The on-screen transform is more complex, but the end result is the same.
Two small gripes: my copy has some QC on the cheek guards which are a bit scuffed; but only really noticeable in close-up photos (I didn't even notice it until I did the close-up shots of the heads). Some of the shoulder and chest joints were a bit loose, and I've seen a video review where that person's copy also had loose shoulders, so this issue might be just isolated to my copy. A few drops of Fix-Loose-Joints Action Figure fixed it up easily enough though. :)
Overall a great figure that I highly recommend.
