Okay... what I'm asking for here is a little information and a little advice.

I have pretty much filled my quota of standard versions of Optimus Prime/ Ultra Magnus (pending some deliveries). So while I was waiting my mind started to wander...

I saw Jafcon Prime, black and beautiful, but with a pricetag on ebay of $300+. Now Robotkingdom has the knock off of this perticular toy for US$55 so it would probably reach me for a little over $100 aussie. Is this a good price? Also is there a version with decepticon insignias or did I just find pictures of a custom a few months ago? Do reprolabels do custom g1 Nemisis Prime labels?

Also does anybody have any insight on how to get hold of the yellow and blue varients of Ultra Magnus. What is the 'going rate' for these guys? How many people here own them, are they hard to get etc...

I like the rainbow colour Primes. When I put a red one, white one, black one, blue one and yellow one together they become Power Rangers. :)

I wouldn't pay that much for a G1 Prime mould. I have JafCon Prime, paid $80 for it (back in 2000 :D)). I wouldn't pay $300 for it. And there's no way I'd buy the KO for moral/ethical (and legal) reasons.

No, the actual toy only has Autobot insignias. Back then Takara was into doing black repaints for the heck of it and didn't offer explanations for it - that only happened after Ichikawa Hirofumi came along the scene; it was Ichikawa's idea to name the black repaint of Super Ginrai "Nucleon Quest Convoy", tying it in with G1 Hasbro toy continuity (since Action Masters were never released in Japan), et al. I personally view my JafCon Convoy as "Matrix Death Optimus Prime" (or "Matrix Forever Convoy") which is what I wish Takara had called it. Those of you who attended the OzFormers 2003 convention would remember this diorama:
