I went the Amazon route for these guys, mainly cause of lockdown but also I don't see the shops getting much in with all the old wave stuff they have. They don't care what they are selling as long as the pegs are filled.

This isn't a sighting, but I went to Kmart this morning and showed the staff the SKUs for Velocitron and the system shows that they are "On Order," meaning that the stock is inbound. So hopefully this means that we should see these toys pop up in NSW Kmarts soon. <crosses transistors or something>

Now that it has been on Amazon and now TKMaxx for under $100 (for a set worth $140), it seems that everyone who wanted it, got it a long time ago. And just like with Origin Bumblebee, Hasbro Australia wasn't going to be getting in the next 4-pack if they were having trouble selling the first one.

They were indeed Target exclusives, but you might have trouble finding them now. You might get lucky and find one or two still floating around, and it could be either wave, as some stores got a restock of wave 1 earlier this year.
Best to check the website and see which stores are still listed with stock (https://www.target.com.au/p/transformers-generations-deluxe-retro-collectibles-5-5-action-figures-assorted/64784861) - it isn't guaranteed that they still have them, but those stores are the ones most likely to still have some.

On Saturday I saw Legacy Metalhawk, Animated Prowl, the Core Dinobots, Crashbar, Crosscut and Shrapnel at JB Hi Fi Galeries. They also had Studio Series Dark of the Moon Studio Series Forty-Four Optimus Prime (totally not a mouthful), but it's embargoed for sale until Thursday. I heard that they had Breakdown too, but there were none by the time I got there.

Well... Hurstville had them out on Thursday. I tried to buy one and was told they shouldn't have been put out.

Just noting, for anyone wondering about what is in those Micro Machines blind packs (this info is over a year old, as it has been that long since they were released in America)... the display box says "6 to collect", but there is actually 12. There are 6 mini playsets, but each one can come with one of two vehicles. Six of the vehicles are Transformers vehicles from the movies, but annoyingly, the 6 different mini playsets do NOT have as its two vehicle options, a Transformers vehicle and a non-Transformers vehicle. One of the mini playsets has both vehicle options being Transformers, while one of the mini playsets has both vehicle options being non-Transformers. This means that if you are wanting to collect all 6 of the Transformers Micro Machines, you will miss out on one of the mini playsets, and have a duplicate of another.

No sighting of Animated Optimus sadly.
