The Electro Whip Jolt FAB toy in packaging shows three others from the first assortment on the bottom - Megatron, Bumblebee (with really skinny legs), and Optimus. All four are new moulds, and Jolt is a new character.

The Bio from the back:

Around the world, The Autobots battle to destroy the secret forces of the Decepticons. Little do they know an even deeper[?] threat is about to arise...

Jolt makes a point of getting into trouble. He is chaotic and impulsive, always out for next big adventure. If there is danger about, he is sure to find the way into the middle of it. Luckily, he;s got the fighting skills to get himself out of binds he gets himself into. When he's got his electro whips in his hands, he's an almost unstoppable whirlwind of crackling energy.

That first paragraph sounds like another hint at the plot of the movie - a powerful threat that makes the Autobot Decepticon conflict on earth seem insignificant. Maybe having the forces unite against it perhaps...

So is Jolt in the movie? It says he transforms into a Chevy Volt. I originally though he was one of the "twins" until I realised I had made the noob mistake of confusing my car models as the "twins" are a Beat and a Trax. But if he was some extra character (as in not used in the movie) why would they go to all the hassle of giving him a proper car model for an alt mode?

Any thoughts?

That Bumblebee looks like its the same mold from the previous line. Nicer paintjob though.

Jolt is looking ok. Not really a fan of the vehicle but would be interesting to see that weapon of his in the movie.

Erm wasnt Jolt released last year as a Walmart exclusive? And isnt he supposed to be a Decepticon? Sigh , is this another case of Eagle Eye?:(

If they are trying to squeeze in 40 TFs characters in TF2, Jolt could well be in the movie. I don't think there were any moulds from the first movie FABs that wasn't from the movie.

Thats another concern of mine. If they are going to squeeze 40 characters in then what is the character development going to be like?

probably like the first movie, then in the last 20mins 30 red shirts pop up

That'd suck if they had a 'tough struggle' throughout the movie, and then the 'cavelry' comes in at the end to save the day. Then again, it worked for 'Code of Hero', one of the best Beast Wars episodes.

I was thinking that they only focus on a set group of characters like Sideswipe, the twins, Jetfire and Soundwave and the rest are just fodder.

It is mentioned that the chest is apparently not transformed properly.

Robot mode pics looks mistransformed. I'm pretty sure it is as it looks totally wrong. The torso needs to be pushed down more. Those arm kibble looks huge in that angle but these are FAB's we are talking about so you can't expect much.

And a gallery of FAB Megatron, from the same source:

It only shows the tank mode, but doesn't look very impressive. Then again, the first Megatron didn't look very good in jet mode either. The only reason why they wouldn't do a proper toy of Megatron would be if he is actually in the movie. Otherwise, they wouldn't need to be working around an official image of it, they would do a decently engineered toy on their own.

The new OP FAB looks like a FAB iteration of the Voyager version. Am still not keen on those huge kibble on the inside of his forearms.

Jolt looks like a nice solid FAB toy. Can't wait to see the proper deluxe version (if any).
