I followed the link provided by STL in the thread about the new Transformers Generations book (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=3265) and discovered that there's a Machine Men equivalent book also available.

It's a couple of years old but it's new to me! :)

I'm going to see if I can track down a copy for me. I have a couple of Machine Men toys and while the cartoon never engaged me the toys were always of interest to look at.

I like the look of the Machine Men equivalent of Duocons for instance shown in one the preview pages for instance that I've never seen. The Motorbike/Sidecar combination is great.

An English language review is available here:

From the preview images you can see it's very similar in style to Generations with simiarly nice photos of all the toys in both modes.

Yes, it was sandwitched and sealed between the last 2 "pages", which were basically two cardboards glued together to protect the disc. :D Loved it too!

Cool. HLJ is "backordered" but I'm going to keep searching to see if I can find a copy.

Sydney residents should be able to order this book from Kinokuniya (http://bookweb.kinokuniya.co.jp/indexohb.cgi?AREA=06). I've done custom orders there before (back when they were still in Neutral Bay!) and it takes them about 1 month to get the book in after you order it. :)

Update. This book is listed as backordered on HLJ. I placed an order at the end of January and have just this morning received an email asking for payment. So if you're after a copy it might be worth putting an order in with HLJ and being patient. :)
