Hey guys, I just won a PS3 off eBay and in anticipation of it's arrival I was wondering if you knew of any good websites to order games from. EB is horrifically over priced so I know there's got to be somewhere cheap out there.

I buy games off this guy:

http://stores.ebay.com.au/CD-Bazaar

He has excellent prices and is very prompt with his shipments. All games are offical and the same as if you go and buy them at EB only at 1/4 of the price.

Often I am dumbfounded why people go to EB games and buy the $110 game when you can go online and get it for $30

Try:

Local:

http://www.dvdcrave.com.au
(generally cheap prices)

http://www.game.com.au
(can't really think of any other cheap aussie sites for games)

Overseas (I think the PS3 is region-free, but don't quote me on that, just google it and try these sites):

http://www.play-asia.com
(hong kong based. US and Asian games. always reliable, weekly specials)

http://www.gameplay.co.uk/
(UK based. great source for PAL versions of games that is usually out there before our shores)

http://www.videogamesplus.ca/
(Canadian site. Our dollar is pretty strong against the CND so this is a great place to import US games)

These are all sites I've used and enjoyed.

www.ecogamer.com is a site that lists local / online bargains, plus tips on trade-ins. Information is usually supplied by registered members. I think it's worth checking out from time to time.

Because some (and by some I mean a lot) of people are stupid and believe what the salesperson tells them and think that EBGames has te cheapest prices, which they don't. They do what K-Mart does, but only on the odd occasion: drop prices with sales

Only time I buy from them is if it is a old game I can't find else where for dirt cheap.
I picked up Star Wars Racer Revenge for PS2 the other day for 10 bucks

I went to EB yesturday because they had Uncharted for $26 and they tried to sell me so much other crap. Do you want an EDGE card? No. Do you want to buy the disc protection policy? No. Blah blah blah.

I rarely go to EB games now and when I do its not because I want to buy something but because I want to see the box of some new release.

Sometimes I do pick up the $10 game but its very rare now. Last year (or the year before?) I picked up the old Lucas Arts game (when they were good) Grim Fadango but that's it.

I admit that once upon a time I used to be among the idiots who went in and bought the $110 new release game from EB but then I realized that there was something wonderful and new called The Internet where I found out that the rest of the world buys the same game at bellow half price of what we pay or even less!

Same here. The last time I got something new from EBGames was when Mariokart for the wii was released. Although, I abused their Trade 3 wii games for MarioKart because they were having a 2 for 50 sale. Grabbed 3 random wii games and a Gamecube controller for 100 and traded the games in for Mariokart.
Score!

Play-asia is good but expensive for us now though (with the bad aussie dollar). They always have the latest games!

I reckon ebay is relatively good, you can keep watching there as games are generally about $20-$60 dollars cheaper anyway.

I won an NEW xbox 360 Kungfu Panda cum Lego Indiana Jones 2-Pack game on ebay for just AUD$31 shipped and stores out there are selling each for about $69.95 or something.
