I don't know about this. They're all still photoshop at the moment. The parts seem to change size in each pic. Wonder how the final product will turn out. Not sure about the sword.

Another Auto Scout! A little friendly competition for TFC?

A mental picture of G1 Roller and Auto Scout going on a date...

I think I like that Auto Scout more.

It does look more show accurate.

Nice. :)

But I have one comment - this is a cassette with no holes..

Does it need holes, if it is painted black? Neither Blaster or Soundwave have spindles for the cassettes to plug into, and the holes are really only there for the accessories and uniformity if the accessories only need one hole. You don't even notice it on the painted model.
I do prefer the more show accurate one, which itself was based on an existing toy (not that I've accually seen one). If a toy actually does exist, then they should at least have a (visual) template to work off.
I am so tempted to get the show-accurate one... Dammit Has-Tak, why can't you do this, so it can count in my collection.

Nothing that I would be bothered of, just pointing out there could still be some space for improvement..:p

I have to say I prefer the TFC one now. While the iGear one looks more show accurate, I think the TFC one has nicer details and a more clever transformation. The iGear one looks like the arm has to be removed when transforming into tape mode.

plus.. not to mention, it would better fit with the other group (in cassette-mode) as far as my optical sensors tells me. :D

Apparently "iGear" is yet another group from mainland China, not Singapore. :o

Has it been confirmed that the TFC Auto Scout fits into a singledeck Soundwave? There was a picture that suggested that it doesn't. This new one looks thinner...

Yeah, good question. I remember there was a quote from tfctoys on the bottom part of kyle's post on the other thread (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showpost.php?p=77739&postcount=57). But it only mention G1-like Soundwave, not G1 Soundwave (which is a single deck)... Though I'm not yet bothered at all (since my only soundwave is the classic-version), it would better to have an auto-scout that is similar in dimension as the original cassette molds, jmo.

1.the final product of the tape will fit into all G1-like soundwave's chest
2.the size of the laucher will be reduced in 2nd sample.

They said "all" G1-like Soundwaves... so my best guess is they'll fine tune their current prototype to fit the single deck versions.

OK, thanks :) That's a deciding point for me.
