Earthrise wave 3 Voyager Megatron has been found at retail in the US (https://news.tfw2005.com/2020/08/18/earthrise-voyager-wave-3-found-at-us-retail-417389), but the strange thing is that the Voyager Quintesson Judge that was supposed to be in wave 2, still hasn't been seen. It could have been already bought, but if it isn't in wave 3, it is difficult to know why it would have been delayed, as the redeco is already out (in the Quintesson box set), so if there was something wrong with the toy, both would have been delayed.

It was scheduled for September, so this is about right, being the end of August.

I saw a photo on facebook over the weekend of the Quintesson Judge at a store in America next to Megatron, so it looks like it did end up getting released in the 3rd wave.

There must have been an unofficial release date in America this week for Kingdom, SS86 & Buzzworthy Bumblebee, as a LOT of new toys have just been found at retail, with most being at Target.

Not sure where to put this, but there appears to be a packaging variant (https://news.tfw2005.com/2021/01/19/transformers-kingdom-packaging-variant-427517) for the first wave of Kingdom Deluxe toys - one type has a cardboard hook at the top (for hanging on store pegs) that as box deco printed on it, while the other type is just a clear plastic hook. The cardboard hook is not as strong, and once they get damaged or folded, they can't hold the weight of the toy on the store pegs anymore... but maybe the plastic hooks are being used less due to their intention of using less plastic in the packaging.

There was also an example shown of two different ways that the Warpath toy was packaged inside the box.

A new Rescue Bots Feature Bots toy has been found in America, at a Target - Bumblebee (https://news.tfw2005.com/2021/02/04/transformers-rescue-bots-academy-6-inch-bumblebee-spotted-at-us-retail-428322).
The Feature Bots are about 50% larger than the Rescan range, and transform. It was introduced in 2019, and so far there have only been six toys (including this Bumblebee).
Since it doesn't have the new Classic Heroes packaging, this must have been planned for release last year, and ended up being delayed. It was a surprise to suddenly show up, as previous waves have been listed on Entertainment Earth, and this one wasn't there (they still only have the first four waves listed).

We've had a few of the first of their Worlds Smallest toys show up at BigW last year, so it will be interesting to see if these show up here as well.

These appeared here at Toyworld earlier this year, and now it seems that they have been shrunken down to be even smaller "world's smallest" figurines, to be packed within multi-packs of different iconic toys, a bit like Shopkins mutli-packs (https://news.tfw2005.com/2021/09/02/character-options-to-manufacture-transformers-micro-toys-in-the-united-kingdom-440381).

I'm still seeing a lot of 3rd year Cyberverse toys in our stores here, so I'm wondering if we are going to see any of these 4th year toys here, because with the 4th "season" being so small and quick, the toys of that season needs to be in stores before the show airs, or else they will shelfwarm and interfere with restocking of the Brand as a whole by retailers who have their allocated shelf-space full of Transformers inventory.

With Tigatron just being found in New Zealand with no mention of Blaster being found, we might still have to wait some time for wave 5 to come here... if at all... because Voyagers are not a fast selling size class in Australia, and Hasbro Australia may not need to order in more Voyagers before Legacy is shipping to stores.

Fingers crossed we get some last minute surprises in the next week in stores here, like we had last year (with the first SS86 toys popping up).

Something that came up in a recent podcast was that the release date is the date that Hasbro expects wide distribution to be complete by - ie you should expect to see toys in your local store by then - and can often expect early releases if retailers get their stock well ahead of that date.
Given the volumes of Christmas stocks this makes sense why Jan/Feb release date assortments are often seen in Christmas.

I wonder if it was accidentally released as soon as it arrived in the country, as their global release is June/July, so stock would probably be in the process of being sent around the world (often 3-4 months in advance of a set release date, just to be ready in time, and in case there are any delays).

Not a toy release, but something licensed... and I think is quite impressive.

One of those part-release magazines has been found in France (https://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/a-new-20-inch-optimus-prime-model-kit-is-being-released-periodically-in-france/46713/), which comes with parts to build a model of 2007 Movie Optimus Prime in robot mode, standing at about 50cm tall.
I didn't catch if it said how many issues/parts there were, but it isn't likely to come here because the magazine is in French. (they could release the model here with an English magazine, but it would be a lot of extra work to translate or create a new magazine from scratch.
A video on youtube shows (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWi00Dg7Ois) the first issue and the parts it comes with, that form the head.

Studio Series 86 Sludge is ... somewhere (https://www.tfw2005.com/boards/threads/studio-series-86-leader-sludge-in-hand.1229028/) :) From context, I presume it came from Hasbro Pulse, or one of the Asian retailers who seem to routinely get stuff quite early.

He didn't get it in packaging, so it would mean that it isn't out yet, and the person who posted up pics is likely to have just got it from where-ever those youtube reviewers get their unreleased "samples" from. No one who has obtained a new toy in packaging, would ever not show the toy in packaging, as that is a key image people post up online to the fandom, so it is always a red flag if you ever see it happen by fans or reviewers with new toys.
The person also noted that it was "in the mail" which would have been at least a couple days from the source, so if it was shipped from a legit retail source, people would have been posting up a couple days ago that their orders were being processed and being shipped.
Also, one of the regular sources of unreleased toys has also posted up a video (without packaging), so both people must have just received them at the same time from their Asian source.

There has always been a huge demand by a small number of fans to be the first to get their hands on new toys, just for some short-lived attention in the fandom.
Don't get me wrong, it is very exciting when you are the first in the world to show off a new toy to the fandom (all of mine have been toys from retail that came out here first, or were toys/samples from Hasbro Australia), but I doubt anyone in the global fandom would even know my name or remember me from those first reveals.... and I have no interest in trying to maintain that attention by tracking down more unreleased toys (or compete with the current guys who get these unreleased toys from shady sources - certainly not from Hasbro, because any time I've been loaned or sent a toy to officially reveal, I am not allowed to reveal it until a specific day set by Hasbro America).

Anyone care to speculate on when they'll hit our shelves?

Wave 1 Legacy Cores and Voyagers have been out this week in Singapore, which I use as a barometer for Australian general retail (Kmart, Big W etc) releases - we are often 3-4 weeks behind SG. So that's my guess. I have a feeling Legacy will come before the last waves of WFC Kingdom (Tigatron, Blaster, Hot Rod, Pipes, Slammer) and those Kingdom waves won't get a widespread release.

Word is that they are coming out here very soon.
(I imagine that most retailers are waiting to clear out more of their Kingdom inventory first before wanting to stock a whole new toyline, so they might show up on places like Amazon Australia and Toyworld first)

It looks like the second wave of Legacy was meant to be released July 1st, but they haven't been showing up in America yet (unless it was a restock and they had run out of wave 1 like the Leader class). Some of the size classes have been showing up in Australia, but generally only at places that don't have release dates, and those online stores that didn't get the release dates wrong (like Amazon and EBGames, who have most of the 2nd wave listed for mid August).

Ironhide should be coming out locally very soon. EBGames (https://www.ebgames.com.au/product/toys-and-collectibles/287447-transformers-transformers-the-movie-ironhide-stuido-series-86-17-voyager-figure) has updated their release date to 27/10/22 and Titan Pop Culture (https://titanpopculture.com.au/products/transformers-studio-series-86-17-voyager-class-the-transformers-the-movie-ironhide?_pos=2&_sid=2301f16dc&_ss=r) says 31/10/22. Other specialist shops have been showing November e.g. The Gamesmen and Popcultcha.

I'm so glad this is not an exclusive, not an end-of-line wave and not (I believe) shortpacked, so we should all be able to get this definitive version of Ironhide and leave the Earthrise scalpers to cry.

Earthspark Tacticon wave 1 found at US retail... at the same time as their first sighting here in Australia, despite America supposed to be having a 3 month lead on the Earthspark toyline. It is really puzzling too, as the Hasbro people doing the exhibit at the Sydney convention in September were unable to say why we had to wait an extra 3 months, but then for most of the toyline it didn't even matter, as we only ended up being a week or two behind.

There's a heretofore barely leaked (known only by a cryptic inventory listing) War Dawn 2 pack (https://www.tfw2005.com/boards/threads/legacy-evolution-war-dawn-2-pack.1245337/) that has been found at Gamestop in Canada. Not available for sale before 07/04/2023. Has Ariel using the Legacy Prime universe Arcee design for the 4th time) and Dion (using the SS86 Kup design for the 3rd time). $70 CAD, which is about $77 AUD. No idea what it would be if it hit retail here.
