Judging by the responses of a few polls we seem to have quite a few Barbie and Machine Men fans in here...

Red here is just too rude for my daughter (Bratz are totally outlawed in our household) so she has become a present to my wife who, through her whole childhood in Vietnam, had only one doll and that was cut out of paper and stuck onto an icy-pole stick.

Red is Silver Label which means she is limited to a production run of no more than 50,000 worldwide.

Because they are EVIL!

IMO, they introduce sexual themes (in their clothing or lack thereof) to recipients who are too young. Plus they groom the young recipients to be slaves to the capitalist master "Fashion" for the rest of their lives....

DID I MENTION BRATZ ARE EVIL?;)

Exactly Tets. We do not EVER condone the sexualization of the innocent no matter how the corporate daemons that run the material world would like to influence us. We call them not 'Bratz' but 'Slutz'.

:)Anyways....
Got Buggy Man and Rest-Q today.
Buggy Man needs a light re-chroming on the thighs.

Cleaning out my old bedroom at the parent's place and found this old Gobot:

http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/328/bugsie.th.jpg (http://img5.imageshack.us/i/bugsie.jpg/)

His name is Bugsie, no MR number. TFU.info says he is the French release of the character, which has a brown/burgundy colour instead of the red and orange on the US release.

He's in great condition, no paint chips on the diecast chest piece. Only the head is loose, and flops down in robot mode.

Yeah there was quite a few at Kmarts, Targets and TRU when they came out. They sold out pretty quick though.
The 1959 one nettie, I'll keep an eye out for. My girls regularly drag me to the Barbie aisles so if she's still around there's a chance we'll spot her.
She was definitely the best seller out of all of that range.

The gold one in the middle? because Kmart weren't selling those nor do they sell gold label, the 2 either side of the gold one kmart do but not the gold one

They did sell her this time. The Kmart at Vic Gardens had an end full of her when she first came out. She's not actually Gold Label but it's easy to mistake her for being Gold Label by the box art.

Ahhh I must be thinking of the very limited gold label one then
