Am back in Malaysia to visit my family and friends. Bought these from one of the shopping centers near my home:
Movie Legends 2-Pack
1) Night-watch Optimus Prime + Stealth Starscream
2) Ironhide + Dessert Attack Repaint Blackout
Each for RM$35 which is approximately AUD$12.70

Also saw new wave of Movie Robot Heroes:
1) Armor Bumblebee + Starscream
2) Ironhide + Bonecrusher
3) Protoform Jazz & Decepticon Brawl
4) Optimus Prime VS Scorponok
Each for RM$20 which is approximately AUD$7.50

If you want them, please send me an sms to: +60178251252
But you'll need to transfer the $ to my account first (cause i shopped too much and am kinda broke :p). I'll bring them back OZ on 15th Feb. Please note, there's only 2 of each and No. 1) has only 1 left.

Sourcebook #4? Do you mean #3? I haven't seen the fourth one on the comic shipping lists yet.

I got the Blaster Spotlight and Devastation #4 yesterday (I hope they have really done what it looks like they've done in Devastation but I figure they'll have an out) and also the first Animated Comic which I will do a review of later.

Ah, I was offered that too today though I didnt order it. I passed up on it b/c I recalled it was said there's merely screen grabs with dialogue boxes. Having seen the 1st episode, and the animation style, wasn't sure on it. If it's any good, I may have to go back

Also agree on the Sourcebooks. DW did a far superior job. I'll get the trade eventually but I'm still immensely disappointed.

Oops, yeah, Sourcebook 3. I wasn't a huge fan of DW's sourcebooks either (though I admit that they were very extensive and better than IDW's BW sourcebooks in some regards). Neither of their sourcebook series just seems to read as well as the G1 Universe books/entries. (-_-)

The Sourcebooks are not great, they could have been much much worse as well.

First February acquisition! I got my Cybertron Scourge today, that leaves two Cybertron toys to get (without getting every repaint or scout).

I love the figure, so imposing, but I must ask... why does it have g1 transforming noise (no problem, just seems out of place), and why does it have a blaster sound in Robot mode. He doesn't even have a gun!!!

Overall, top figure though.

Yes they have him in their warehouse. $200 is a little pricey but I caved to temptation in the end. :p The free postage is good, makes it cheaper than buying it from Collectoybles. Best make a decision soon though, they've got 15 left at the time of this post.

Classics Cliffjumper

I wasn't going to get as it's just a repaint, but the impending Upgrade Kit made me change my mind. This DEFINITELY completes my autobot Classics and brings my total count to 99 (not UCM).

EDIT: Actually, that's wrong. I'm only at 90. Boring. Thought I was on the verge of breaking 100.

My stuff from JimReborn arrived yesterday. Figures are truly mint and they were superbly packaged too, so thanks Jim! They are:

RID Midnight Express, Rapid Run and Railspike
Armada Sideways with Rook and Crosswise
Energon Hot Shot, Inferno, Snow Cat, Sharkticon and Galvatron

Galvatron is truly awesome and the Rail Racer set was one of my grails, which made yesterday a truly red letter day for my collection.

TFTM Incinerator arrived today from my Mate in Columbus, Ohio.

He ain't that bad, but his trigger mechanism that spin his rotors is really stupid; not nearly as good as Blackout's/Evac's trigger.

I've also got the last 3 scouts on the way (Warpath, Stormsurge, Crosshairs) as well as deluxe Stockade. I'll post pics of those when they arrive.

When you open the box for the 1st time, you have to attach them yourself (which isn't easy) & they hardly rotate at all when you pull back the trigger. Great work Aaron Archer, great work.

I cannot believe how good the condition of these two guys are. They have their original stickers in top condition. The wear on the toys are minimal. At times in the past I had given up hope on getting a reasonably priced complete Wheeljack that hadn't seen massive damage. They are just immaculate.

Good Luck bringing Browning into Sydney through International Customs; I sure as hell reckon you're gonna need it. But if you had a mate in another state receive it first & then send it within the jurisdiction of Australia (so that it doesn't have to pass through International Customs again), it would probably be a much better chance of you getting it in your hands at all.

3. Sold to Digger at '07 Melbourne meet
4. Reacquired in a trade yesterday

That's stiff, Rampage. You should go out there, berate them, get a customer complaint form and then call up their distribution centre and tell them you're not happy. They may not like it but at least it pricks up their ears. At my post office, I lose track of how often I berate the distribution centre's delivery man. It might not be nice but it at least ensures efficiency later on.

Transformer bio cards.

High production quality in terms of colour, paper, etc. There are a lot of typos on the bios though. The pictures come from the Dreamwave MTME books. Very nice but missing the Pretenders and Headmasters/Targetmasters which is a pity.

I had a lot of fun trying to figure out how to organise them. It's also quite cool b/c I can now refer to these cards rather than the MTME trades which I have which I have in a plastic pocket and means I have to take it out and in everytime.

Got it in one Paulbot. I wanted to practice on some KO figures I bought from Hot Dollar last week, but the Sydney weather and previous engagements conspired against me.

Big W just had a sticker saying all Ultra's were $24.87 (or something like that), so I went and checked out a few more to see if they had a Cryo Scourge (since I'm missing him/Scourge) but no luck.

Not sure if I'll do an original repaint for the Cody figure (my first and only SWTF), or if I'll try to do a Stalker repaint. Going need a huge cannon if I do...

TFTM Stockade arrived today. Despite a pretty simple transformation for a movie deluxe, he's a great figure. :) Stockade's got great bulk, width & an excellent stance! 9 out of 10

Movie scouts Warpath, Stormsurge & Crosshairs should hopefully reach me soon & I'll get pics up asap.

Optimus Prime Helmet
Movie Leaders Optimus and Megatron
Voyager class Starscream and Ironhide
Deluxes Jazz, Barricade, Brawl, Boncrusher and Wreckage
Real Gear Longview, Spy shot 6, Power up VT6 and lastly Speed dial 800.
That pretty much completes just about everything movie related that I'm after.:D

Nice, DD. I already have one but got it loose I may have to get that again. That box looks good. Does it come with a bio/tech spec card? (Petty as it may be, it's a dealbreaker for me)

My acquisitions:

- Capture of Bumblebee: a dark blackish gray BB inside here. Nice all round but nowhere near as compelling as the mass market BB08
- Desert Attack: this one is naturally underwhelming b/c of the Scorponok figure but it really works as a diarama. It's quite bright in contrast to the other 3 sets.

Overall I don't think it worthy of being in the masterpiece line.

A lot of people seem displeased with MP Megatron. On the other hand I am very happy with how Takara made him. He is lite enough for a comfortable Transformation and I can see how Die cast on his upper body would have seriously hampered his stability so I support the use of plastic.

They could have added some Die Cast to the legs just like the upgrades in the Unofficial kit but I am not fussed about it.

It has been transformed at least a dozen times and never had any issues with him, he is very durable and although some parts feel a bit flimsy, it is strong enough to manipulate without needing to be overly careful.

If you just want the feel of more weight to the figure then I suggest the upgrade kit which comes with the extension and metal leg plates.

These two arrived today by accident.

Ezydvd's website says the following http://www.ezydvd.com.au/item.zml/797712 but originally stated they were supposed to arrive next wednesday on the 20th. Today I got an sms & picked him up from my local Ezydvd store. Can't wait to watch it :)

I went down to Sheriff's Minicars in Parra & stumbled across a whole bunch of Beast Machines as well as this guy. I haggled the TF guy over BW Scorponok & he took off a fair few dollars. But honestly, he seems pretty delusional over the value of Beast Machines & Cybertron figures (loose but complete with instructions). $50 for Cybertron Sky Shadow & $70 for Galaxy Force Vector Prime? - honestly.

Man i want to get this to watch it all but it looks so stupid IMO IMO don't flame me.

I thought the same until I begun to watch it and thought the same even after the first couple of episode but before I knew it I came to love it as the story and characters evolved considerably and the plot came into its own.

Although the main cast is technically human, they do an awesome job of keeping the plot very much Transformers despite this.

You dont really need to finish watching Headmasters to enjoy Masterforce. Its pretty much its own story rather than a continuation, although they do make a brief and rather pointless attempt to link it to Headmasters.

Headmasters is by far the weaker series when it comes to plot and story.

In my opinion the Japanese G1 series rank as following (not including Zone):

1. Masterforce
2. Victory
.
.
3. Headmasters

Victory's position may change in the near future as I am only 3-4 episodes away from finishing it. The latter episodes are very much making me into a fan and changing my perception of some characters. For example, through most of the series I found the Dinoforce to be bad comic relief. However after these last few episodes I have become a fan and would buy the toys if I could.

I still like Headmasters but is mainly due to nostalgia rather than the series itself although it has its moments.

The customs guy could not believe it when I told him we have to have safe storage. He also said that before 6 months ago it was very hard to get anything through, but things have loosened up now. Good news for Encore Megatron, Megaplex, Browning etc, I hope...

The best part was I have to keep him in safe storage but I basically walked out of the customs place and put him on my car-seat. I could have waltzed straight into a 7-11 (not that I would). But it shows a disconnect between the government and the employees, who are just real people after all.

Okay, it's actually a Microchange MC-07 Browning rather than the later Transformers figure, but the mould is the same, and both are Takara produced. So as far as I am concerned (if not the UCM (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=217)), it's Browning (:

Oooh, nice, Mel. New scouts and Stockade. Guess you won't have to worry about hitting the shops for a few waves now. lol The 2nd volume of the MTME book is very difficult to find. They're (both) highly sought after and in recent times have attracted some ridiculous prices ($45-65 USD each). I picked mine up way before the stock levels for this dwindled

Your best bet is to keep checking every so often but even then it's unlikely to come cheap. Most comic shops that hold inventory don't have them either b/c to fans they're literally bibles with awesome art of favourite G1 characters.

You can always chase down the individual issues of the MTME series which has a BWs twist. They don't come cheap either though. Probably $10 an issue.

Here's one; but I doubt anyone will be buying it now anytime soon.

Just a litlle side note about people buying overseas instead of off the shops in Australia, I actually enjoy the hunt around trying to find that harder to get hold of TF. I know it can be time consuming as well as petrol wasteing but if you were really worried about petrol you would pick up the phone and ring the shop instead. We could just be cutting our nose off to spite our face as the old saying goes, i don't think Hasbro would really notice a small group of collectors buying from overseas but say if it did make a slight impact and there was less demand for TF's, we would then get even less on the shelves and complain even more. I know we are over charged for our TF's but we must make an allowance for shipping, because of the smaller numbers of items being shipped here I would think there would be a higher amount to pay per item for making the trip to Australia. Maybe I should have posted this somewhere else:o. Almost forgot , my Cybertron DVD's showed up today in the mail as well, a big thank you to a certain person for those;).

Just a litlle side note about people buying overseas instead of off the shops in Australia, I actually enjoy the hunt around trying to find that harder to get hold of TF.

Ermm not all I guess cause I only spotted Stockade and still have to wait around here for the other new deluxes and voyagers.. plus I couldn't get Evac cause of $$ and baggage constrictions..

And I'm sad about the MTME book now, means I probably won't have Vol2.. :( Anyway can you PM me where you placed your pre-order for the Encore Minibots? The usual site we go isn't out for pre-orders till march or april.

I received three seekers this morning from KelvinChang, Thundercracker, Skywarp and Thrust. (Now I just need to get Ramjet!)

I just picked up the Arcee Spotlight and the IDW Classics Transformers trade paperback.

The book reprints the first 16 issues of Marvel US G1 but leaves out issues 3 and 9 (because of copyright issues) and provides only a summary of those stories. The word Marvel is also blacked out on each cover reprint.

It is in full colour though not black and white as I expected. The quality of the reproduction is not as great as the Titan reprints, but it's nice to have 14 of the original 16 comics in one book.

At last I have Landquake. Also nabbed the Beast Wars botcon comic and first issue of club mag, as I wasn't in time for it.

The Book of Jap and foreign TFs (by JE Alvarex)is a nice look, but it is mostly a picture book of box shots. A little awkwardly laid out in some places and by no means a be all and end all of accessories etc. I was really after something like Bellemo's price guide (but with IN-focus pictures) from g1 to Battlestars with a list and shots of accessories, but I can't find one anywhere.

Tetsuwan Convoy: I would strongly recommend getting Transformers: Generations - it has photos of every Transformer from G1 to G2, Hasbro and Takara. The book was made by Takara (published by Keibunsha) who hired a professional photographer to photograph toys from their own private collection. Really awesome pictures. It also has some other bonus goodies too (including an interview with G1 toy designer Ono Koujin). I don't know if Perth has a Japanese bookstore, but if not see if you can bug any of your in-laws to get one in for you. :)

Here's a variant cover of that TF Generations book TC, although Goks version is the special one ( with more drawings & other anime artworks). got this from Ebay from Hongkong based seller for AU$28 + postage 2years ago. Basically of course the content of toy pics are the same but the concept art and extras were the difference between the two. Posted this just in Case you do encounter a variant just FYI. I do regret now selling off my Override now cos I liked its colours much better. Hopefully I'll track down a cheap one in the future. Crosswise and Downshift really amazed me. No worries Mate.

I don't know if this can count as an acquisition yet but a couple of days ago I got a Big Daddy from Ebay (from someone whom I've previously done business with) while from another seller, I bought the last three movie scouts (Warpath, Crosshairs, Stormsurge) some 3 & a half weeks ago and still nothing has arrived at my P.O. Box. I really want to get these 3 last scouts so I bought another lot of 3 from BBTS. Something tells me the Ebay lot wont end up arriving even though the seller has sold a bunch of things in the past with 99.2% feedback. But I've decided not to leave any feedback at all (I don't want any negative feedback in return).

Keibunsha you say? Would you mind sending me the ISBN and I will do a search for it. I have tried various book shops in japan, (book off etc) but didn't have any luck.

How is the TF Generations Complete (published by Jive)? I have put an order in on HLJ for it, but don't think I am gonna get it.

Unfortunately, the one and only Japanese book store in Perth closed down a couple of years ago....

Very nice Animated figs there. I honestly can't wait for them. They look really good.

And it's published by Million (ミリオン出版(株)), not Keibunsha - sorry. :)

Yeah, I was pretty happy.

I found a Bionicle sword with with Unicron, and tbh, it makes him look badass. I'm going to have to see what other weapons the Bionicle line offers because sometimes swords make a Transformer look badass (Vector Prime is a total example of this)

Over the past few days:
- Ultra Magnus (IE. Nightwatch Prime) at the awesome price of $70!
- Evac: he's my Mr. 1000! Woot!
- Warpath

Courtesy of Unca Iceburn for the last two. And they round out Ultra Magnus' team. I've been waiting for Ultra Magnus for a long time. As soon as I got him all the others that have been sitting in packaging came out immmediately. And I also found the repaint to really work. The shade of gray is less dull than Prime's gray and the light bright blue makes him seem a little different. The purple windows didn't quite warm to me at first but they really do work well once you transform it once or twice. The shade of blue for the armour is also really nice. They look lovely as a team.

I'm calling them:
- Skyblast
- Cliffjumper
- First Aid (I don't really see the need for a "Rescue Ratchet", movie ratchet is movie ratchet!)
- Ultra Magnus
- Warpath
- Evac
- Air Raid

Evac I find to be really good. The new head mould and colours really make it shine. I reckon the Premium Blackout will be better with the improved decos. With Ultra Magnus I changed the shoulder pads and the point hood bits at the back a bit to make him a little different to Prime. I now need a blue blade to go with him. I also changed Skyblast's wings around and given him a gun rather than an axe so he's different enough to Air Raid.

I do find that renaming and being able to form a good looking squad really helps to invigorate the collecting. Otherwise I'd would've hated Nightwatch Prime, Cliffjumper and Rescue Ratchet. It gives repaints some meaning and interest. I felt an overwhelming sense of joy when I found Nightwatch Prime cos it meant I had Ultra Magnus and I could complete my 2nd Autobot TFM team. Anyone else do that?

That's very cool STL. Love that concept of an UM second TFM team.
A gold star for the bright student.:)
