With all the time we spend thinking about Transformers, and with many of us seeing them on our shelves moments before we fall asleep, it makes sense that we probably dream about Transformers too...

I had a dream just the other night that I was on my way to work and I called into a toy store. They had some Universe Deluxes and I was surprised to find a Thundercracker (in proper Universe packaging). I rang another board member asking if he knew about it because I had no idea it was coming out. I couldn't decide if I should buy it or not because it was $47 but it was also so rare. I opened it -- in the store and still not purchased :o -- and inspected it, it was dark blue like the G1 one toy but the wings had only black stripes, no red or white. But then I woke up. :)

I've dreamt a few times of having BW Dinobot. You know a toy is your Holy Grail if you dream about it more than once.

Once I had a dream in which I raced through time and space keeping a vital piece of alien machinery away from Animated Megatron. Eventually I ended up in an airport and met Wheelie. The whole dream then turned into a Christmas special type affair, with the toys of all the TFs from the dream standing on a boy's desk. Incidentally, I had this a few days before Christmas. No, it was no prophetic of any presents.

I had a similar kind of dream.
Walked into a random toy store and found not only current and soon to be released stuff, but stuff from years ago that I want and all at conveniently low discounted prices.
Grabbed the nearest trolley, filled it, went through check out, filled the car and drove home...then my conscious kicked in and pointed out a couple of things
a) I didn't have enough money
b) some stuff wasn't out yet
and c) I didn't own a car, let alone know how to drive one

I regularly have TF dreams, where I go into a toystore and see completely new Transformers that I've never even heard of. They're brightly coloured and infinitely wonderful. They're always reasonably priced, but I wake up before I can buy one and unbox it.

While this sounds like an ironic fantasy, I actually have dreams like this. :o

I think it's an unconscious yearning for the element of surprise we got when new toys came out when we were younger. We did not have teh Internetz to spoil the surprise.

I haven't had any TF dreams lately, but one I've had since I was a child was going into a store and finding it chock full of Transformers and I would have the available funds to buy them all. I would stuff them into a shopping trolley and always as I'm paying for them at the counter I would wake up. Eventually I became aware that it was a dream even when I was within the dream, so the plan became to buy all the toys and get home to open them ASAP before I would wake up! So I'd be rapidly shoving toys into trolleys and bolting to the counter... but of course, I'd wake up just as I'd be paying for them!! Grraaaaargh! (T_T)

I think my subconscience must've gotten sick of it because I haven't had that dream for a couple of years now.

i had this dream where i was struck in this bus transformer and like the bus's speed had to be above 120KMH and like it would explore if it wasn't and the bus was like i am gonna blaf cause he didn't like going fast and i was like oh S#it oh S3it!!! then i woke up :eek:....

I used to have a lot of flying dreams and rollerskating dreams (even hurt when i fell over). Ive had transformer related dreams but they are generally too vague to remember.

Come to think of it i probably dream about Transformers during the day more.

just watch a whole stack of episodes at once then you will dream about, well it works for me anyway cant remember anything specific dreaming with Transformers but i do remember watching stacks of Buffy and then having dreams as though i was in an episode of the show :D

When I was wee lad I had a dream that my local Toyworld suffered major fire damage and they offered we all this damaged but completely fine stock... for free. :p

Ocassionly in the past I would have Transformers, dreams where I would find rare TF's, as a child I even had a dream once where I was a TF.

Overall Transformer dreams are a rarity for me though.

I dreamt last night that Megan Fox was showing a group of us her latest edit of TF:ROTF and we all hated it. Having her direct it was a bad move by Michael Bay. Over 70 minutes and only one scene with transformations in it? Some weird stuff going on it: Sam had a younger teenage brother (Buster?), Cliffjumper was in it but was a blue VW Bug, and Bumblebee turned into a yellow panel van with black stripes!

The former, although it was less specific and more generic, like all the recoloured Reflector units who filled out the Decepticon ranks in G1 season 1.

Last night I had a dream that I was reading an IDW comic where Rodimus - drawing based on his original G1 form, was chasing after Galvatron into a dark structure. But with him was his own private army of really tiny Rodimi, based on the G1 Micromaster toy. The dream then switched to me being Hot Rod and sending my non-sentient Micromaster drones to search the structure. They acted as my eyes and ears. They weren't very smart though, I would occasionally have to grab a few handfuls of these Micromasters and chuck 'em round dark corners or into dark rooms etc. to ensure that I was getting good coverage of the area.

So in short, it was about Hot Rod having his own personal cache of drones... who naturally look just like him, which is pretty typical. :p I freakin' woke up before I could find Galvatron. :rolleyes:

Had a dream lasst night I wandered into a fancy pub and it was called "Maccadams Old Oil House: Bar & Grill".

Upstairs it looked like a regular high-end pub but downstairs there were all these weird working displays of TF life throughout the ages. There were even these robots the size of pigs that kinda looked like the skelletons of trilobytes digging in a giant sandbox. It was explained they were drone builders from the start of Cybertron that still worked but were now that old all their plating had fallen off.

Didn't really see that many actual TF's in the Oil House - odd dream. At least there was beer in it :D

The thing was this was letting Sharkticons into the paddocks which were eating all the newborn lambs. I got invited to the local high school to talk to the students about how to deal with them safely.

Think they were about 4 foot tall in my dream and hunted in packs, looked just like from the 86 movie too :D

Had a dream last night I was sitting on the board of Hasbro, and discussing product releases for the next Transformers film, and going through all the top sellers and shelf-warmers. I distinctly remember making a suggestion of Transformers hats and t-shirts with designs by street artists :confused:

Dream 1: A few weeks ago I had a dream I had been employed as an adviser on TF5 by Michael Bay, and for some reason they were shooting a lot of it on my Dad's farm. We had stopped production for one evening so the crew could throw me a 40th birthday party, but I kept getting reminded that it was at Michael Bay's discretion that it happened and to not piss him off or the party would be brought to an abrupt end.

Dream 2: I've been having trouble with my ducks laying and my daughter breaking the eggs we do collect. In my dream last night it turned out they were not duck eggs but in fact Insecticon eggs. The Insecticons started building a giant metal nest and they wanted all the broken eggs back so the yolks could feed their new young.

Then this one will weird you out even more :p

I had to get from Swan Hill to Bendigo so got told they were sending a Predacon (the real ones, not the later ones) to pick me up. Soon an orange and black armored sports car showed up. As it was driving me it was asking me to guess who it was since they didn't have animal modes anymore. I guessed Tantrum but it turned out it was Divebomb who wasn't too thrilled at no longer being able to fly.

I asked if he still had the wings when combining into Preadaking and could he still fly and got told yeah. I asked could we do that as flying would be faster than driving and Divebomb said sure, we could meet up with the other Predacons in Lake Boga.

Met up with them there at a bikers garage. One thing led to another and suddenly all the Predacons are getting rebuilt by the bikers into slick new beefy car alt-modes that were mainly black with a bit of orange. Divebomb wanted to become a bird again but they mucked it up and his alt-mode was a giant orange kitten (like a proper one - not a robot one)! This freaked him out so they worked on him some more. The end result was that his robot mode was a humanoid orange kitten (think Jim Careys 'the Grinch' but orange and furry) and his alt mode was his original robot eagle one.

Then the Autobots showed up across the road and Optimus called out that the Predacons were breaking parole as they were supposed to do a quick driving job that should have taken two hours but had spent two days getting their alt-modes redone. A shoot out happened and I got hit. The Predacons agreed to do as they were told and the Autobots left. The Predacons and bikers (who were all very chummy at this point) said I couldn't be saved and suggested that instead of dying in a hospital from a stray shot, they would take me out to the woods, cause a lot of damage and leave my body there. They would then spread the word that I had been a bad-ass drug international drug runner who had gotten into a major battle and died. That way I would live on as an awesome legend. So Tantrum drove me there and they did as they said.

Yeah I'm kinda the same. Almost all my dreams are about work. I've actually been able to come up with some good ideas for cases thanks to dreams but I miss the ones I used to have as a kid about tmnts, transformers and flying. I loved flying dreams.

Dreamt I was at Myer and they had cases of Powermaster Optimus Prime ready for a sale. But not the Titans Return version, the original G1 version. And I might have thought that odd if I wasn't more perplexed with the 7 foot tall Beast Machines Cheetor standing next to them, taller than me! Don't know where those subconscious images came from.

Dreamt the channel 10 news started with a teaser for a story about the new Beast Machines cartoon, and realising they'd only do this as cross promotion I checked the guide and found a new series was starting in a few hours and I had to get on here and Facebook to give everyone a heads up as none of us had heard a third season was coming. The bit of the show the news aired was cell animated and featured Scuba waking up the Seacon Sea Pirates so I assume the series was actually just a western dub of Beast Wars II.

Two very disparate dreams in more ways than one :p

Dream 1
Two nights ago had a very long, very detailed dream. For some reason myself and a few others were being given a sneak peak in the storage rooms of a closing down TRU at all the TF toys that they were going to be releasing but now were not because of the closure.

We all looked at the toys but got bored and I went investigating and found that Hasbro had stored in these big cupboards these huge models of scenes from the 86 animated movie. There was one of Autobot City, complete with details like Swoop being under rubble and Insecticons eating doors etc etc. There was one of the weapons factory on the Moon Base, even with little models of those welders that moved rhythmically on the assembly line.

Then we found a huge model of The Ark, so big it came in four pieces and took up a huge table top when we put it together!

Then a Hasbro exec came in to collect all the stuff they had stored with TRU and cracked it majorly with us for opening forbidden cupboards and touching stuff we shouldn't. :p


Dream 2
Last night the female personification of Death (who just looked like a very attractive goth girl) and her boyfriend were looking for somewhere to 'have relations' and Optimus Prime offered that they could do so on the front seats of his truck mode. She thought that would be awesome but it weirded him out. So they went into Primes trailer and did it there, but even though she knew that it was still a sentient component of Prime, she didn't tell her boyfriend that because she was really into the idea and knew he wouldn't be.

I think the blue auto-launcher even moved to watch :eek: :p

So in my dream liegeprime reported seeing the new Hasbro G1 reissues at Kmart, so Sinnertwin came over to meet me at my place to go check out some nearby Kmarts. But small things kept on holding me up before I could leave the door (e.g. forgetting where I'd parked my car etc.). By the time I was ready to go, Sinnertwin decided to hop into another car with two men in black suits and dark sunnies. I was trying to decide whether or not I could be bothered going toy hunting on my own... and then I woke up.

I had an entertaining dream the other night. The Combaticons had figured out how to make clones of Bruticus and made hundreds of them. They pretty much acted like Omega Sentinels, following simple instructions and acting as giant enforcers. They all had a sort of uniform zombie grey colour all over. The Combaticons used the Bruticus clones to quickly take over Cybertron and it ended up all the other Transformers were living in ghettos, kinda like the Decepticons in IDW.

The Autobots tried a last effort of unleashing Omega Supreme and Fortress Maximus. Omega was flying and shooting and Fortress was guarding a huge spacebridge. Omega (who for some reason had his Animated altmode) was shot down quickly by all the Bruticus clones with their back-mounted guns. Then about 20 Bruticus clones got on the side of his crashed ship mode and pushed him forward and bashed him into the legs of Fortress Maximus who toppled over forward and then got swarmed.

That's all I can remember, but it was a pretty cool dream. :)

Nice! The overarching plot reminds me of DW's Aerospace Extermination Squad when they came in and subjugated the populace.

What a cool thread! Only just noticed it now due to recent posts.

I've had nothing lately but, when I do, it follows a common theme here of finding rare or non-existent Transformers in a toy store and waking before I can buy them. Sometimes it takes a moment to realize it never happened.

Most recently it was less a toy shop and more of a mature nerdy collectibles store, with split level interior and irregularly shaped floor spaces.

There was another time I was not at the shops, but at the bottom of my childhood street. It used to have paddocks on one side (now replaced by a sound-retarding freeway wall) and in this dream the paddocks were back. A truck went round the corner with its back doors open and a bunch of Transformers boxes literally 'fell off the back of a truck'. :)

A few days ago I had a dream that Tha_Phantom, my daughter and I were in Tokyo. We were getting ready to check out all the collectible toy stores for TF hunting, but I woke up before we reached our first Mandarake. :p

Too many TF dreams to mention since I seem to have one or two a week. But last night I dreamt that I was taking my son fishing in the local creek and we were using Kremzeeks as bait, the reasoning being that they were brightly coloured and would move about on the hook a lot.

I guess my dreaming brain didn't take into account putting beings of pure electrical energy into water might not be a good idea :p

If my dreams are correct predictions there's a bunch of G1 reissues coming to shops:

A two pack of G1 Hoist and G1 Grapple
A two pack of G2 Sideswipe and G2 Inferno
Thundercracker and Skywarp separately (but $100 Canadian dollars each!)
and a Then and Now pack with G1 Brawn and Titans Return Brawn

There's also a Spark Armour Windblade who comes with armour called AWL (some sort of Owl)
