I can't decide if this belongs in the Permanent Pricing Changes thread. The goal here is to flag the price of non-sale items being cleared out.

Target has Movie Cyber Slammers for $6.88 and Real Gear for $9.xx.

Sutton
17th March 2009, 09:50 PM
Well it can't be ''permanent pricing changes'', because quite often they'll cancel the clearance prices once the stocks get low enough.

Real Gear robots at my local Coles were $4.99 by the way...picked up the blue binocular guy (Farsight?) for my kids...don't know why, but they really liked the Real Gear bots.

This can be a separate thread, as it relates to discontinued lines/assortments, and often only relating to certain stores that still have shelfwarming stock. Once they sell out, they don't restock, because they want to clear the shelves before the new line/assortment comes in.

Picked up Ultra Magnus from Target for $40 yesterday!!!

They also had some other cheapies, Heavy Load for $20 and Ultra Silverbolt for $25, and Roll-Out Prime for $45...

It's the girlfriend's birthday next weekend, however so I couldn't go too overboard.

Great clearance prices at Target, clearing the docks for the movie stock, but every Target store I've been to in the past few months has had barely anything (except old movie stock).

I saw Movie Voyagers selling for $19.99 at Myers today! I saw a plethora of Autobot Ratchets and Starscreams at Myers Parramatta today. A great deal for anyone who doesn't already have these figures.

jaydisc

I think those Myer prices are for a time limited sale... not clearance pricing.

I'd get silverbolt at that price. Pity it seems your target is the only one to actually have any transformers.

And $20 voyagers at myers..... pity those that paid the previous ticket price of $60 for them. :D

I think those Myer prices are for a time limited sale... not clearance pricing.

First movie toys are suddenly appearing on the shelves of stores at big discount prices. That's seems like a clearance to me.

And it's hardly worth setting up a new thread to cover nearly two year old movie toys being cleared out.

jaydisc
12th April 2009, 10:38 PM
Fair enough. It would be great if they did keep them at that price until sold out, but based on the pricing of the Classics Primes & Jetfires still floating around, it's doubtful :(

There were three different prices on the shelves at the store I was in last night, two tags said $89, two said $59 and there was one with $39. The overstock on the very top shelf at the other end of the aisle also had a $59 price tag.

Maybe your store either has not put up the clearance tag, or it has fallen off? Since it seems to be a nationwide sale price a scan should show the price to be $39.

The Kmart at Sunnybank have moved their 'Clearance' items to the front of the store, and the tags have the usual listing of each price reduction (like Wheel-J posted above).
Animated Deluxe - now $20
Universe Ultra - now $40
Marvel TFs - now $28
The Voyager/Activator packs were also there, but no shelf tag. Should be equal or less than the $30 posted above.

Pity about the MTFs being cleared out. BigW don't seem to be restocking them either, which means even less demand for them (Hasbro are over-stocked, so we probably won't see wave 3 onwards here).

Old ones are $20, new ones are $30, but both are listed as 'on clearance'... which is just as odd as seeing them clearing out the PCC 5-packs. Also a bunch of Star Wars and Marvel Legends on clearance as well.

Just went to K-mart Geelong, and they have further slashed their clearance pricing. I believe this is across the board as Ballarat K-mart had the same clearance but no stock except for 3 payloads.
The new pricing is $7 for scouts, $12 for deluxes, $7 pcc 2-packs, $12 legend 4-packs and $20 voyagers.
Don't get too excited though there is not much range. Deluxes are only hfd ironhide and jetblade, only hfd seaspray voyagers left. Bit more range in scouts with chopsaw, breacher, windcharger, sunspot, insecticon and the dunebuggy one whose name has eluded me. So worth a look if you do not have these.
Also if you are as lucky as I am you can price match any hfd deluxe for the price of $12 at toys r us. No luck with price matching generations though, damn!

My Woolworths has the slash through the $24.99 on the price tag for the 5-pack, so I took one to the service counter for a scan, but it scanned at 24.99. I indicated that the price was slashed on the ticket, and the similarly slashed-ticket-item next to it (the 2-packs) had a clearance tag on them. Yeah I scanned him at Kmart Chaddy too and he was also still $89.

it must have been an isolated error to come up so cheap

it must have been an isolated error to come up so cheapSome Ldr Ironhide were $12 at my local kmart too. I scanned one, saw it was $12 then grabbed a second and went to the register. Unfortunately the second one I grabbed was scanned first at the register and was still $89 :( this is when everything fell apart and i left empty handed. The prices have now been corrected at that store but I can vouch this was real. And i am left still wanting this figure.

I've discovered why I got mine for $12! The barcode is covered with another barcode sticker which obviously makes it scan at $12. There must be a batch of incorrect stickered Ironhides about as I went to another kmart here in perth and they had blacked out the two barcoded Ironhides with black texta and put $89 stickers over them.

There you go, and therein lies the error. I guess Stealth Force BB is on sale for $12 then.

I was not aware though that any mainline Hasbro toys had stickers on the barcode. they are all printed straight on th epackaging, the exception being jetwing prime, even then, the sticker wasn't a barcode I don't think.

Btw, i never did get a $12 Ironhide but i'd be grateful if a Brisbanite could hook me up.

Also, i'd be happy for the ironhide discussion be extracted from this thread iif we are taking it off topic.

They probably imported the stock from the US and it's reading the US price of $12. How funny would that be!

Big W Parkmore had a shelf of DOTM Go-Bots Sideswipe on clearance for $5 each; and a shelf of DOTM Commanders for $10 each (several Primes, a couple of Sentinel and Ironhide).

A Toyworld clearance store has also opened at Parkmore. They had about six DOTM Leader Bumblebees for $55.

Kmart Sunnybank had a lonely Kreo Sentinel Prime for $39 (box looked a bit battered).
Heaps of smaller size sets though, so might not be restocking/selling larger size sets anymore.

All their TF3 stationery was discounted as well.

$24.20 for BB

That's here too...
Down to $94.50, but only until June 22nd, so that is really just a sale price.
BUT, it was already "clearanced" down to $135 from $169, so it still counts as a clearance item, just not the lower price (yet, because those things are shelfwarming real bad).

KreO Jazz & Mirage (the second smallest size) now down to $12 at Kmart (from $20).
And I think the smallest size (Op & Bee) were down to $10.
Looks like Kmart are trying to clear out all of their Kre-O now.

The standout here is the large Optimus Prime set for $40
Sentinel prime and Megatron were about $30
Starscream is down to $25
and most of the "deluxes" are $17.99
The basic bumblebee and op sets were $8

There's been further discounts since this if anyone can still find KreO at their local Kmart.

Mirage at least is down to $2.50, and I assume Jazz would be as well.

Strangely small Bee is only down to $7

I didn't test Sentinel or Big Prime.

If anyone could pick me up a Jazz that would be most appreciated as my locals have run out completely :D

Got access to a participating Toyworld Hursty? Sentinel is 20 bucks with their current sale. He's also probably the most impressive Kreo model as well. Much more well proportioned and smart looking than the others.

Possibly, as the only Toyworld store close to me is Kiama (30mins away) but I'm not sure if it'd be participating; I might have to se if Uncle Pete's is mirroring this effort...

Cheers for the suggestion dude. :)
