TRU now have the 2 Pirate impulse sets (minifig plus accessories) and also the Chef impulse set. $5.

That VW Beetle is nice. I had it given to me as a xmas pressie. Now sits on the coffee table as it's quite ornamental. The build was great. Although there's no steering at all on the wheels and there's a gaping hole behind the back seat. Otherwise very ornamental and yet distinctly Lego in look.

Yeah I want this too and am just hoping it hits a major retailer and goes on special at sometime.
One of the things that make this set so sweet is it's fan designed so there's a lot of imagination gone into it's construction.

It is a great build.
Only thing I wish it had was inside detailing. It is pretty much a facade like the cafe-corner.
Just even some little things like they had on the green grocers would have been good

Saw the two pirates $5 sets at Big W, love that the pirate one comes with a fish and snake, while the soldier one comes with lots of weapons. No other pirate sets on the shelves though.

Drawbridge defense, looks bloody great. The skeltons were always my favorite, I never liked the orcs.

Agree MV. I loved the skeleton army. The sets that they had were awesome. Especially the Skeleton's Prison Carriage (7092). That set was a thing of beauty. The Orcs are ok. The Battle Wheel and the Tower Seige were good representations of their personality.

Oh yea. It came with so many, so many many many minifigs for a set its size. That includes the 4 horses too.

I reckon the skelly sets were generally better because skeletons are cheaper to produce, leaving more bricks to be spent on design awesomeness. Skelly horses are especially economical.

I never cared much for skellys due to their lack of poseability. They look badass though. Black skellys are win.

Not on sale or anything, but there are at least three kits and they are selling for $49.99 which is much cheaper than they are flogged off eBay for, so if you want one, go get it now!

City Corner's a great way to pad out a city layout for a reasonable price. The bus looks sweet. Campervan looks really cute too.

I like the look of the Helicopter transport, but the trucks outnumber the cars in my city already, so I'll give that a miss.

I got the ship and fort when I was in the UK... the ship is really really really nice, pretty similar to the Black Seas Barracuda. The fort is also cool but somewhat overpriced for what you get.

I agree fungal. The Titanium Rig and this Mining Station doesn't excite me much neither and at the asking price it's a tough ask. I've umm and ahh'd over the Titanium Rig everytime I was at Target during the sale and just kept passing on it.

I guess the quality of the recent Creator Trucks and the upcoming Agent's sets (which is just around the corner now) is keeping my wallet closed.

i unpacked a hell of a lot of lego tonight, included ere indiana jones sets, including one with 2 planes in it, then a lot of agents stuff, it hink there was some kind of mech robot, some smaller ets and this crazy chopper with two sets of rotors which looked cool.. HEaps of bionicle stuff, their all on like alien bike things, also the creator dragon and fiSome of it is on the shelves, the rest is out the back because there isnt enough room for it all.

thats the way it work these days, I've been told. 'Exclusive' means 'get it here first, before the general release date'. eg. Toyworld gets Castle first, Big W gets Space Police etc. a very clever marketing ploy.

I think most stores got an exclusive line for their June/July sales and the rest had to wait for the regular listed release dates. Like how Big W got SP3 for their July sale before everyone else and only now the other majors are getting them in (SP3 was listed as having a September release). Pirates was exclusive at Target for their sale so I'd assume the rest of the majors will get theirs at the regular listed release (December). TRU does have the Shipwreck Hideout which is exclusive to them if you want to complete your Pirates sets.

Yeah the Ben 10 is a let down. However, Hero Factory (I hope that's not it's final name) is released in August :) I picked up 3 of the stars figures today at Parra TRU. They have all except the white/silver guy.

Toy Story sets look good (Personally dont care for the Country Town set) but the prices are killers, I know licensed Lego costs more, but Toy Story just doesnt feel as worth the money to me.

It may have been around for a while (I dunno) but I saw the Star Wars Lego TIE Defender today at Big W. I was only glancing at the Lego aisles as I walked past and it jumped out at me.

Back in high school I loved for playing TIE Fighter, still my favourite PC video game ever. I've never seen a toy of a TIE Defender before so this was very tempting. Almost enough to tempt me to the dark side and buy Lego. ;)

No such luck in perth. I've only sighted atlantis at kmarts. Target seems to be holding out on them till after the current sales.

On the upside, Kmart have further discounted their clearance stock, however these discounts havent been price-tagged. I picked up venice canal chase for $20 :D

Takara-Tomy have also ordered these to be gashapon (capsule) toys. I have vowed to buy at least one at every machine I find while i'm in Japan. :D

They're on the shelves at select Toyworlds nationwide and Targets over east. Some Targets dont have them in the toy section but rather at the impulse shelves at the checkout counters.

Hey everyone, if you are after a Brickbeard's Bounty (http://pirates.lego.com/en-us/Products/Pirates/6243.aspx) and are anywhere near the Mt Gravatt Central shopping center, Target have one of these sets left on the shelf. In addition to their current 20% off toy sale, this particular box has suffered damage and has been resealed. I'm not sure if anything is missing from inside the box (the top is a bit shredded and has been taped back up as well as one end taped up) and the manager said she was willing to take another 20% off - so $89 for a $140 set :)

If I remember correctly it was about $60, where as the normal one is about $50
