Hi,

I need help to identify if there are any transformers in any line that turns into a Turtle in a Deluxe or above size (Ultra or Voyager).

If anyone knows of any, please advise. It can be in BW, Beast Machines, Cybertron, Energon,... anything.

Thanks in advance.

Snaptrap is the only one I can think of.
Snapper is another, but is basic/scout size.

That's probably not going to be much use - I suspect Kelvin's looking for a toy he can kitbash into Snaptrap.

I think that if you're not going to use Snaptrap himself, you might need to be creative with this - like use Cybertron Scourge without his tail and only the centre beast head deployed.

That's a pretty mean turtle.

But to be a good Seacon Snaptrap, shouldn't he look robotic instead of organic?

BW Snapper looks to organic for the part and so does Scourge.

Hi guys,

thanks for all the help. I am just toying with the idea of seacon. I have found what I possibly could use for all the other figures except Snaptrap.

If there are no line out there, then I am thinking of using Onslaught and then heavily kitbash him into a shell with cannon and also a mean looking head from BW line.

The transformation could work quite well. Thats the best I have come up with so far. I probably wont be starting this anytime soon as I have to finish the others but its just the planning phase.

Turtleboy, when I posted this, I thought you may be like this.. hehehe

There's also Terragator who's half turtle with a removable shell. But again, only Basic size. Perhaps you could salvage parts from a large TMNT figure?

That's an excellent idea. You have a good eye in judging such abstract possibilities from a radically different mold that shares an overall shape..

Turtles have fins, Tortoises have legs.

Although thanks to TMNT, no-one seems to care anymore.

True, although the lines are blurred by the fact that in US English, they're usually all referred to as turtles. Well, that and strictly speaking, turtles are tortoises with modified legs.

Either way, we don't see them used as alt modes much.

Indeed.

Those crazy Americans have a lot to answer for!

Is anyone else strangely reminded of Gary Larson's "There's a Hair in My Dirt" by this conversation?

You know what would be cool? If there was a Transformer with this turtle (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ninjemys_oweni) for a beast mode.

I'd buy it.
