i was looking at my collection today and it got me wondering, how do you dust all your transformers?
Regular playing/handling of your toys helps. :) Otherwise I use a small brush. Also having them in their own room reduces the amount of dust in their as people only ever go in there to look at or handle my Transformers. Dust was much more of an issue when I had them in a room that served another purpose, like a bedroom, lounge room or computer room because I or others would be regularly in that room which of course creates more dust.

Nah just do what I did Kup. Get 3 x 94 liter Plastic box (with rollers underneath for easy transport) and bunch them in gently. Well I only used 3 with mine Gok had to have a lot of boxes though coz hes got a lot bigger collection plus hes got ones in boxes/ MISC and plus the merchandise and TF related stuff going on. Youd probably use 3 or more a s well as youve got big pieces - Fort max alone uses half of a plastic box. Plus using the plastic boxes is more stronger than the common cardboard boxes it serves added protection in transport :D:D it took quite a while before he was able to fix all this to how it was when we saw it. I saw it while it was in the beginning stages and boy was it a mess hehehehehe.nowhere to sit all TFs everywhere!

Using clean old clothing/towels to separate the "layers" in the tub helps limit scratches and whatnot, that's how I keep my stored figures.

I collect most of them... and you can see most of my reissues next to their original G1 counterparts, usually with one in each mode. e.g.: my original G1 Prime is in truck mode whereas the reissues are all in robot mode.

Great collection. I always admire a collection that isn't MISB only. They need to be freed and played with. I hope it doesn't get too dusty wherever they are stored.

Having a collection room really helps minimise dust as nobody ever goes in there unless they want to look at or handle a Transformer. :)

I always struggled with dust when my TFs were stored in a bedroom, lounge room and computer room because I (and others) would be occupying that room for other purposes, which in turn creates lots of dust. It also makes life easier when co-habitating with a partner... ;)

it never cease to amaze me looking at his collection and being able to view all the toys in person is a different story. and mind you its the first time ive seen so much transformers in display right even before i was born :D i love the feeling thanks gok

They're almost all new photos. Most of them probably look the same as last time cos most of my TF acquisitions since Feb 2009 and now are stuff from current lines (e.g. ROTF, Animated, Crossovers, Universe etc.). So most of the new stuff will be on those shelves. One significant change to the room is the addition of the clothes rack - now all my TF shirts, jackets, shorts etc. are on display. Also all my TF board games are out too (they used to be inside the wardrobe). There's a gigantic ROTF poster behind my Beast Wars/Beast Machines/Car Robot(RiD) shelves, as well as a large cardboard cut out of ROTF Bumblebee next to the shelf w/ MPs, Binaltechs, Classics etc. and a cut out of The Fallen behind my G1 1984-85 shelves.

I just like photographing my collection at least once a year just to compare how my display changes from year to year as my collection room gets more crowded - and I have to rearrange shelves. :)

I recently found a photography of my collection taken about 12 years ago... it's only one of three shelves that I had at the time, but I've been meaning to scan it and post it up. :) I wish I'd been more meticulous and photographing my collection in previous years, as I do occasionally like to look at them and reminisce - especially with the way I change the style of my display too.

My display frequently changes. The photos just represent a snap shot of how it looks like at the time. I think it's a bit too much to keep reshooting my collection every month or so -- once a year is enough for me. :)
