Five-page previews of this week's TFs comics from IDW - All Hail Megatron #10 and Maximum Dinobots #5.

Where is the originality in the current comics? We have the Swarm in one, and Shockwave Vs Scorponok in the other... Surely reliving Gen1 shouldn't mean reliving the exact plot elements from it. I can understand it from AHM that aims to relive the essence of 80s Gen1, but I'd expect better from Furman. After all, he was the writer the last time we had an extended fight between Scorponok and Shockwave. He's tried it... played it out... and should move on.
It's worse than his obsession with Grimlock and Unicron.

While on the topic of comics, there will be another TFs comic released for the 'Free Comic Book Day' promotion this year. It gets shipped out this week, but FCBD is May 2nd, so should be available then.
The IDW comic looks to be one part Animated story, one part GIJoe story.

Gah. Still can't stand the designs of the Dinobots. As fugly as hell! Roche's Hot Rod looks weird too... like he's all crumpled up but the Shockwave/Scorponok fight sequence looks very nice.

Love both covers for AHM. Both are pretty awesome in their own way. Guido's Megatron is absolutely stunning. Very easy on the eyes. Hopefully he continues to get more TF gigs after AHM.

And on that note, I really need to start reading more of my comics, TF or otherwise.

There is a very good reason for that.

AHM #10 looks fantastic art wise, but then again after #9, anything would look decent in comparison.

Sad to see the last of the Furmanverse with Max Dino's 5...
