Looks pretty cool but I'm guessing it'll prob be like scorponok and not have a real alt mode considering what it is in the movie

Interesting to see that Hasbro has reacquired the rights to the name "Ravage" and didn't have to call it "Decepticon Ravage" or "Battle Ravage." That's kewl. :)

Also it doesn't really look like something that should transform. Maybe a suitcase so that Soundwave can put all of his intelligence documents into, but yea.

Paramount's rights to the names as movie characters wouldn't free them up for use by Hasbro for use as action figures though. Hence why we've had discrepancies between movie character and toy names such as:

Jazz --> Autobot Jazz
Ratchet --> Autobot Ratchet
Frenzy --> Decepticon Frenzy

And even with the mix up of the names Devastator and Brawl between Paramount and Hasbro, Hasbro had to use "Decepticon Brawl" -- they couldn't just use "Brawl." And for RotF they're using "Constructicon Devastator" because they can't use "Devastator."

The Walmart listing (from the other Movie News posting) says that it only turns into a 're-entry vehicle', so it is just like the 2007 Preview figures (Optimus and Starscream). I guess it's like Scorponok, in that it doesn't really transform into anything (in the movie), but needs to have an alt-mode for the toy.

So I don't think those photos of Ravage with wings, is actually the alt-mode. Could well be, but I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't it's 're-entry mode'.

It could be just the atmosphere re-entry mode, but still pays homeage to Laserbeak, with the claws, shoulder missiles, etc. Personally i like it. No-one saw it coming.
