I am a fan of their stuff, and on the odd occasion, will check out some news about them.
Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park has posted this on his blog (http://www.mikeshinoda.com/blog/special_events-in_the_studio-linkin_park_/new_linkin_park_song_out_may_18th) that they will be releasing a new song on May 18th.
My guess is that it is the theme for the movie (or one of them) seeing as they are working with Steve Jablonsky on the movie's score.
Seeing as it is also one of the themes and produced for this movie (unlike "What I've Done") the video clip for this song could also have some clips from ROTF like most movie tied-in clips do
