Ok well first up is my Darth Vader / Death Star that I am turning into Unicron. After seeing what dat70sdude on these boards had done here (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=1965) I decided that I wanted to give it a go

http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t152/Rampage_017/Transformers/100_3134.jpg

So far I have disassembled him and filled in his waist and added the spikes on his arms and shoulders, I have started priming some of the parts but am waiting on some armada unicron parts to arrive

http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t152/Rampage_017/Transformers/100_3152.jpg

Secondly I have two Ramjets that im turning into Dirge and Thrust. Dirge is just a simple repaint where as thrust had to have original G1 wings and tail fins. Once these are done I will have all 6 seekers (ive already made a thundercracker will post pics later)

http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t152/Rampage_017/Transformers/100_3156.jpg

http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t152/Rampage_017/Transformers/100_3159.jpg

Now I know people will say why not just buy the henkei ones? Well because they don’t look as good as the botcon ones and these one I will make will look more G1 correct

Anyway will post more pics when Ive done more work on any of them

They all look great, especially Thrust. Will his wings still flip up once you're done?

Thrust looks great!

I look forward to seeing more progress on Unicron

Yes they will still work as per normal

Well if you have a normal classic / Universe ramjet we can swap as i havent done anything to the other one yet... But he will soon become Dirge

Thanks for the offer mate..but i'll keep my classics ramjet and try to pick up a henkei ramjet elsewhere...

Btw, i'm interested to know how you are planning on making dirge? surely its more involved than just a straight repaint right? as dirge has extra small wing pieces at the top...
Will you use styrene sheets or off-cuts etc?

My advice is to do a small mod to Dirge. Cut the fins off and glue them to the top part of the wing.

Rampagess, I like your idea of the Dirge and Thrust. Never thought of it that way. I think its looking great.

Ok well an update on thrust. His wings are now attached and working just like the other seekers. Just have to adjust them in alt mode to bring them closer to the body of the jet.

http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t152/Rampage_017/Transformers/100_3168.jpg

The wings were attached by clueing small circular plastic rods on the ends so they still fit in the original holes. But the holes had to be opened up slightly.

Should be in paint some time soon as with dirge

No updates on Unicron yet

That's quite a nice mod. G1 Thrust wings are probably a touch too big but the proportions are not too bad.

This may sound like a really dumb question to you lot but i've always been curious -
how do you make such neat cuts to your plastics?

Grinder, then file them smooth then start sanding the part

Yea just super glue its very strong still allows the wing to move just like normal
But paint will be soon
