Hi all, sorry if this is in the wrong section, mods please move if this is the case.
Anyway I went on abit of a toy hunt yesterday and found Toyworld although the least stocked had the best price on Deluxe size figures. Just wanted to ask if the prices are the same for you guys at your major retailers.
Toyworld - $24.95
Big W - $26.88
Target - $27.97
KMart - $26.97
Toys R Us - $29.99
Myer - $29.95
Comic Shop - $29.99

Kmart deluxes $28.99
(not in your list)David Jones $31.99
All the other prices would seem the same. I believe prices will differ between toyworlds and mr toys toyworlds also.

My, how the world has changed. Who would have thought there'd come a time when Toyworld had the cheapest standard prices for Transformers?
And has Myer finally brought their Deluxe pricing back down to something reasonable? That's something, at least. I haven't been to my local Myer in a month, but back then they still had their standard $39.95 Deluxes.

Depends on which series. I believe deluxes for Universe is $29.99, Animated is still $39.95

My local Big W is selling Animated Deluxes at $26.88 as you posted, but the Universe Deluxes are a dollar cheaper...
go figure.

To be honest I didnt check the Animated prices at Myer, but if they are really at $39.95 thats crazy. How can they justify the price difference.
Skyshadow, I was quite surprized to find Toyworld being the cheapest as well, problem for me is there is only one here and I probably use the money I save in fuel to get there as its on the other side of town.
Trunks, Im quite certain that here the Animated & Universe are both $26.88 at Big W, again thats crazy that there is a $1 difference.

Yes, money and time are certainly factors that would affect the viability of a Fyshwick trip. Although you could always multi-task the trip to Toyworld with some fireworks and pornography purchases while you're over there. :p

It also depends on the toyline too. I remember seeing Myers selling Universe Deluxes for about $30 but Animated Deluxes for $40. The Target near my work sells Animated and Universe Deluxes for $27.99 but RotF Deluxes for $28.99.
I remember when Deluxes were $15... that was a looooong time ago.

I'v always found that Big W have the best long term prices. I NEVER bother going to Myer/Grace Bros/DJ's .. those prices are absolutely ridiculous.
Of course, it is all dependent on how soon you want your figures.. sometimes it is a great idea just to hang back on figures you know will NOT go out of stock and will surely have a huge price drop. hmmm LEADER class figures anyone??? lol Even now original colours Leader Brawl is still out and about - en masse! I spotted about 7 or 8 of them in Big W in Charlestown.. and of course reduced.
I think I might be doing that with leader figures from ROTF:)
and.. out of curiosity, how many people bought a TON of figures from BBTS last year when the dollar was virtually 1:1 AUD:USD? I bought heaps. I ended up getting nightwatch prime and deep desert brawl for about AU$30 each including postage and deluxes for about AU$9 each including postage. Of course, they had a ton of them on clearance and I made a point of buying clearance figures. Boy, was that a bargain!:D

Yesterday I was at a market that sold deluxes with a different pricing system... 1 for $20, 2 for $35 (... and I'm guessing here... 3 for $50)
