are you asking a question?
if you want to buy it, buy it
the mods are going to tell you off though, theres some rule about talking about KOs in a positive light.
The look better then some KO constructicons ive seen
I got 5 of my real ones for free and paid $25 for a non broken Hook, so i dont know if it would cost $300 for a real one

Unless you want a boxed set/giftset I doubt you would have to pay anywhere near $300
Take a look at ebay, most complete sets can be had for max $200, I got mine for around $90 last year.

Resist the KO. It's a stupid price anyway, and you'd be silly to pay that much. Look around, you should find them for like $10-20.
Just wait. I have a feeling we'll get an encore/hasbro version later this year.
I've got 20 years on you and still havn't gotten myself a devastator either. I know the pain, but I'd never buy a KO. They are what have been holding back an offical release.

there is a massive premium in that item your interested in due to the foam and box replication. if you don't care about boxes/foams. just go for loose original ones.

yeah seriously wait dude for a re-issue. there is a very strong sense in the community that its coming.
either way, it is possible to pull off a loose Dev for under $150.
unless you want to leave the KO in the packaging for the giftset look, IMO, its not really worth it. patience is a virtue.
If you buy a vintage set, and an encore is released, you can always sell the vintage for what you paid if not more (if you get lucky) and cover the costs of the encore.
plus if you stay tuned on the boards if it is released, hook in on the group orders and get them at wholesale pricing. there are some serious savings to be had.
Oh and never forget the value of having friends in the community, if you're looking for something and would like to try and avoid ebay pricing, place a wanted ad in the toy scout section. You're sure to find a much fairer deal that may even score you a local pickup to save on postage.

The KO isnt worth it, believe me, Ive had KOs before as placers. it does not compare to the real deal at all. If your after just loose ones, there's plenty on sale from other members here Im sure can help. Loose originals now come cheap , not the $300 you have in mind.

Seller at the last Sandown fair sold a few of this exact same piece of crap KO for $15 each.

Same, Before I used KO 'standins' as I collected the real parts and they are very, very crappy. However that KO set looks to be 'G1 Accurate' so its quality may be decent but it is still a KO which has been confirmed as hurting the fandom as HasTakTom have been afraid to release an official Devastator reissue for fear of competing with these KOs.

Yeah I still have that KO set, my aunt paid the equivalent of $35 AUD for it at the time (~12 yrs ago?). Quality is mediocre but its nice enough to play with. In combined form he's pretty flimsy. A good knock or shake of the platform he's standing on usually results in collapsing off balance or having scavenger fall off. Thing that pissed me off the most is that some of the combiner bits don't stick on properly, namely the chest, waist and head pieces. Had to use a lot of blu tack on that boy.
I wouldn't pay $99 AUD for it. Use the money to buy yourself a real transformer.

A reissue Devastator is always possible, but until its officially announced its not a sure thing.
You probably really have to see a KO set in person, get to handle it etc, so you get to know what people he mean when by how crap KO's are.
If you cant wait for the real thing, then do what others here & I did and get them as placers, but honestly dont pay $100 for any of them, $30 max and prepare for some disappointment as about 2 transforms and the things will more than likely fall apart.

It might look pretty, but as a rule, I would recommend never buying a knockoff, particularly these realistic fakes which are specifically designed to trick unwary fans.
1. The money goes to bad people (both the people who make them and those who sell them) - and that's a lot of money.
2. It's not the real thing - you'll always know it in your heart, the quality won't be as good and your money could be going to better, real Transformers.
3. Encouraging knockoffs by buying them means dishonest people will continue to make and sell them. This is not good, particularly 'realistic' G1 KOs like this, which are a growing pool of dodgy toys that buyers purchase believing they're the real thing.
Just stay away - if Devastator is really worth having, you'll get a real one someday.

I have 3 bootleg combiners... but the ones you find from asian junk shops... cost $13 a piece and are well worth it. Obviously they aren't as good as the legit ones... but they are brand new and affordable. The plastic is very lightweight and the stickers are totally crap (in design and quality). G1 Devastator was never really a priority for me so the KO is the perfect compromise.

For some people the cheaper replica TFs are all they can afford, while others use them for customising and repair purposes. All we can do is discourage it by those who do have a choice, or are just not aware of the greater impact these pirated toys have on the toy collecting community - can prevent a legitimate release, and leads to more people getting burnt by counterfeit toys as more are entering into circulation.

I just bought Mirage and Gnaw thinking I got two good deals but thanks the Krayt I found that I wasted money on buying KO's where I could have spend that money on getting something better and original. But the upside is that I might use part of Mirage's box and use that for my original Mirage.
On a side note I thought Mirage might have been a KO because I had heard about them before and I didn't listen to the nagging little voice in my head but I didn't know until Krayt pointed out that Gnaw had been done as well.
So a big thanks to Krayt for giving me the pointers on the KO's.

If G1 accurate KOs were cheaper instead of being $100 a piece, they would be perfect for repairing G1 Junkers.
Recently I got my hands on a KO G1 accurate Prime trailer, its not too bad and compares to reissues but its not as good as the vintage one. I also got a very junky spare Prime which I am now restoring, he seems like a beaten up reissue as his mold is a bit different to the vintage and has short smokestaks.
If anyone has a junky G1 Prime trailer that needs repair or wishs to part with, I can help you out.

Or, for the price of just fifteen knockoff sets, one could buy the original and the best:

I love the construction site backdrop, base and... weird blue crystal things for the vehicles to push and carry around. Years of fun.
