Just out of curiosity guys, what do you all do for a living? Do you enjoy it? What made you choose your current path? What about your dreams for the future? What about your other hobbies and interests?
I'm currently studying a Dip Ed and in the meantime work a pretty dull job in data entry - pays for stuff at the end of the day! I love the course, teaching is great. Gok, if you're reading this, you're a teacher aren't you? The aim is to teach for a minimum of ten years before deciding if I wish to move into the administrative side of things or continue duke it out in the classroom. I also want to get the time to write some music and get a few demos or proper releases out if all goes well.

I own my own wholesaling business. Basically anything shops use they can get through us.
Before that I've worked as a deckhand on a fishing trawler, an automotive spare parts interpreter and a D.J ($60 an hour and free drinks... why did I leave?)
In my spare time (when I'm not doinf something transformer related) I'm usually getting things finalised for my house thats being built, playing with my 2 year old son, playing playstation 2 or 3 and fanatically supporting the Wests Tigers in the NRL and the St Louis Rams in the NFL.

The money. ;)

Flying cars like in The Jetsons.

There are hobbies other than Transformers?! What blasphemy is this you speak of? d:
Right now, apart from Transformers, I'm changing nappies. (^O^)

I think Primary and Secondary are both quite challenging in different ways. Primary schoolers are more challenging because they're so much more dependent, and high schoolers are more challenging because they're angsty teenagers! ;)

Ahh, i doubt my career is as exciting and/or well paying as some that have been previously mentioned!
I work on a large vineyard here in the Riverland. We produce winegrapes for our own labels (we have a few but "Paringa"is the prodominant label). I dont have a spacific role there, perhaps "jack of all trades". Generally though it involves irrigation, maintenance, machinery operation, weed and pest control, pruning and at of course harvesting.
My partner is studying to be a nurse and when she has finished that i hope to go to uni and get a qualification in anything that pays well! My plans are still up in the air as far as what i would study.
When im not doing that im being a dad to my 3 (almost 4) kids. And when im not doing that im doing something Transformers-ish. And when im not doing that im a Cub Scout leader at the local Scout group.
I wish i was doing other things but you have to sleep sometimes!:D

Im an almost fully qualified(only 3 weeks to go :D) automotive spray painter and for the most part i enjoy it.
I got into this trade because i like to draw and be a bit arty and im a bit of a car nut so i thought i would combine the two so i can paint my own cars and then one day get into airbrushing.
I also collect amazing spiderman comics which keeps me broke as well as Transformers of course.

Sometimes it's repetitive, but it's okay because I have low expectations. :)
In my spare time I like to look at people's artwork and/or have a go at drawing TFs and other stuff. Currently in lazy mode. Last thing I tried to draw was Cybertron. Frustrated by all the weird shapes the planet has on the surface.

By day I'm a lawyer (just started my own practice "Fulcrum Legal") and an Accredited Specialist in Family Law. By night I am a director of my events company "Splash Occasions" where we often do weddings (how's that for irony!).
I'm in my 11th year of law and basically got into it because I thought I could make a difference etc etc. How quickly that went out the window working for the man! Basically I think I went to Uni and did the highest degree I could with my marks (family expectations etc).
I don't think "enjoy" is the right word for this kind of job, but it can be very satisfying helping people through the second highest life problem on the stress scale. Putting together events and parties balances that a bit!
On the side I like to make short films (when I find some time lying around!), manage the Megatron Club, am secretary of Collaborative Family Lawyers Illawarra Shoalhaven, on the board of Collaborative Professionals NSW, and playing with my 2 cats.
As for the future, it is only looking better now that I have started my own law firm. One day I will marry (been engaged now for 9 years - employment hazard I suppose) and really, really want to make more films.

It is hard to work with noble and good motives in this world. But as you may probably know, it does not make the pursuit any less worthy (perhaps even more so). Keep up the good work. :)

I'm part of the IT support team for Queensland TAFE, so basically I receive calls from middle aged women who describe their computer problems as a cryptic riddle that must be deciphered through guesswork and crystal ball gazing. :p
I actually don't mind the work when it feels manageable but when you have to take non-stop calls while replying to emails and managing several other things simultaneously my quad-core brain sometimes struggles to multitask.
I chose this path as I didn't want to go to Uni for the sake of it (didn't know what I wanted to do at the time), it pays a decent salary for a starting job & I know a bit about solving computer problems.
Ultimately, I'm looking at studying occupational therapy at University at some point down the track. I get great satisfaction from helping people and this path would be a lot more fulfilling that simply fixing someones broken PC or printer!
In terms of other hobbies, I enjoy keeping fit and go to the gym 3 times a week (I believe in taking care of myself and a balanced diet and rigorous exercise routine), am into eccentric electronic music (currently into Claro Electro, Milosh & Dopplereffekt - Hyperelliptic Surfaces SO should have been the theme song for Terminator 4) and would like to get a midi keyboard and make some tunes myself one day. I'm also a keen video gamer and am madly in love with the Silent Hill series & anything from Team Ico. Oh, and I'm also big psychological thriller/horror & 80's/90's action movie fan. Some faves include John Carpenter's: The Thing, Tango & Cash, anything from David Lynch. I watch some anime but think 90% of it is garbage. Really love the stuff from Satoshi Kon & Yoshitoshi ABe inparticular though. I played outdoor and indoor cricket for 7 years and would like to start indoor again at some point, although I need to make some friends here first (have recently moved to Brisbane from Canberra). :p Over and out!

I'm a delivery driver for a local fruit wholesaler. Start work at 4am, finish at 2:30pm. No i don't realy like it. The people i work with are great, except for the bosses 2 lazy sons who walk around like they're $h!t don't stink. I get lots of free food and drinks from the cafe's/restaurants i deliver to. That, and perving on early morning joggers and sexy business women are probably the best things about my job. I only do it to pay the bills, feed the kids, etc. Working that is, not perving.;) Currently in negotiations with the boss about my pay, as they've been under-paying me and haven't paid me for expenses, e.g. mobile phone for work. So hopefully things will start to go my way. Otherwise i'll drive down the freeway with my van doors open and leave a trail of fruit salad along the tarmac.
In my spare time i'm usuablly hanging out with my kids, watching movies, downloading movies (both types), playing my XBox 360, doing housework, arguing with the wife, and if i'm really lucky i'll escape to the beach for a surf. And if i'm unlucky i'll return home to argue with the wife.
What do i see for the future? Hopefully a Powerball win, or someone to feel sorry for me and donate some money or a house. I don't look too far into the future. I take each day as it comes, and my main focus in life are my 2 daughters, and worrying about that smell coming from the bathroom. Oh wait, that's my missus.

Me, I'm a print manager for a call centre, though hopefully I will get outta here into Railcorp shortly.
Should i welcome you to the family? I work for Railcorp, i'm the one telling you to bugger off when you complain to me about the trains being late, abusing you because you've jumped the barriers, but mostly outside the station, smoking away.
Because of the job, i don't get much chance to have a private life, it consists of playing on the xbox, watching B-grade Horror movies or reading.

your going for the wrong job if you want overtime, stations are losing positions, management wants to get rid of the cleaners and bring cheaper contractors and they're planning on removing train guards and quite possibly drivers as well.
