View Full Version : Question about ROTF Ransack

My ransack came with what looks like a plastic stress mark on the upper half of the plane body behind the cockpit (left leg plate in robot mode).
I thought that it was just my bad luck but then I checked Lord_Zed's which is still in package and it also has the same mark. This mark appears to have happened during manufacture when the pin that goes underneath it was inserted.
Do all Ransacks have the same issue or just the ones from the K-mart where I bought them?

Mine (from Target) has this mark. I'm not especially concerned although obviously I'd prefer a stress-mark-less toy.

Thanks. I was confused because toys from online galleries don't have this mark but this seems to be indicative of a batch of Ransacks that reached Australia.
I managed to mix up an appropriate color match and painted over it.

If it can't be identified it then you don't have it. It stands out a fair bit.

think the stress mark might be caused by that particular person/machine who did the pin insertion

No stress mark on mine. Purchased at a K-mart. In fact, I haven't seen any with that marking; I've been checking. However, I am in the West... big black hole of bizarro-ness that it is.

I would recommend that anyone who has the stress mark exchange it.

No stress mark on mine.
He's a fiddly bot, but one of the better movie toys I've gotten my mitts on.
Just nice to have some different alt mode figures for a change.

Yeh, I really like him too. I have always wanted a bi-plane TF!
Would this be the earliest vehicle mode Transformer in the whole line of Tfs? I imagine this style of plane would be early 1900/10's. The only other one I can think of off the top of my head is g1Astrotrain and his "miscellaneous year of production" Locomotive mode. The only problem with Astrotrain is that its a bit vague as to how old his train mode is.

Anyone have a picture of the post traumatic stress mark?
