Ok, just starting this one off, what are some things you've found about toys while playing with them but never saw it mentioned yet, nor in the instructions?

I'll start with animated leader megatron.

I found two things while playing with it tonight I never noticed before.

1. The main front barrel on the fusion cannon can spin. Yep, grab it and twist it.

2. There is a 2nd landing gear. In chopper mode, pull off the cannon assembly exposing the head, now while looking at it from underneath, look at the nose of the chopper, see that black section in the center? Look at where it meets the other black section with the red round bits, you'll notice a small groove/tab. Pull it down. There we go, landing gear.

I have a pic of this for awhile now and totally forgot about it. :D

One more thing I can add with animated leader megatron, which I think is not actually a feature but an alternative way of storing the weapons whilst on his handsfree action pose/bot-mode, is that you can gently slot-in the handle tip of his swords at the back of his upper arms where the screws are, then fold the blades down. However, if you would do it this way, I'd recommend to insert the tip by only a millimeter to avoid any potential plastic stress. Not the most clever way but it works.

I have a feeling that they should have made the cannon removeable from the grey bit and added a little slot near that front extra landing gear. Would be an easy mod though.

As for the swords, I like to have the blades as sword mode, but leave them hanging from the wing attachments on his back.

Also makes a cool pose if you have one in this way, and put the other in his hand and move the arm up and back as far as you can, looks like he's just pulled the sword from its holder and is getting ready to fight with it.

I never knew about the landing wheel breasts on Classic Seekers until someone showed me at a meet. I think they're not in the instructions.

It's hard to remember what's documented and what's undocumented.

I know that with G1 Cyclonus in robot mode, if you turn his fists into jet turbines, the tailfins can then rotate forward into blade weapons. Plus Cyclonus's arms are designed to come off and click back on - authentic battle damage?

G1 Sunstreaker can transform his shoulder-mounted rocket boosters so they can be 'fired' from his fist sockets.

I know various Scramble City leaders can combine with both Metroplex and Trypticon in base modes and that not all combinations of this are documented. Hun-Grrr was designed with a base mode that's not in his instructions.

Not so much an undocumented feature as useful to know: G1 Seeker landing gear can store in their cockpit canopies in robot mode much in the same way as G1 Optimus Prime's fists can fit side-by-side in his front seats when he's a truck.

Prime's gun also has a storage hole in his trailer and his artillery robot can stick his head out of the closed trailer.

If you flex Beast Wars Rhinox's forearm so his elbow is at ninety degrees (like he's doing a bicep curl) and then put his weapon in the underside of his fist socket, he has his trademark Chain Gun Of Doom.

Transmetal Terrorsaur has undocumented hinges that turn the sides of his chest 180 degrees.

Beast Machines Skydive is really supposed to transform into a pelican, but his instructions turn him into some kind of pterasomething.

Likewise, Beast Machines Silverbolt has a more logical griffin mode than the documented condor.

Armada Cyclonus's rotor blades come off and can be reattached to his arm.
